Yes Doomer try it. I had a G4 CID locked that i unlocked last December using the guide to unlock here in XDA and it worked without any problems.

Can now work with any operator sim and upgraded 3 roms till i stuck with Shadow 2.0.

Read sticky threads carefully and don't forget to Hard SPL.

For some reason while doing the upgrade something went wrong.

I have had the chance to do hardspl to get somewhere...

Now when i boot the phone I get the O2 Screen with the IPL and SPL info only. I am not sure what happened...

Any suggestions? also, is there an original file I can load to restore the phone?

All you need to read is post 1 :D

4: FORCE BOOTLOADER MODE MANUALLY HOW TO = ....

1. keep pressing the Commgr button and

2. in the same time keep picking/sticking the bottom softreset button with stylus for one second,

3. THEN ONLY ONLY RELEASE THE STYLUS (keep pressing the Commgr button) and wait for the screen
TO CHANGE to the three color screen (bootloader mode),

4. Plug back to the USB port ( connect to rear USB panel of the computer - recommended) to the device,

5. Execute the Rom Upgrade Utility to upgrade to your chosen rom
(or put your NK.NBF to the unzipped WM6_Update_Utility folder), all activities will
only take 3-5 minutes, nothing will be seen in the Prophet screen.

Is there an error on the device screen? Try flashing a WM5 ROM (no need for hard or soft spl) to see if you get the same error. Force the device into bootloader, disable connect though USB, and then run the RUU

But my problem is I can't force my prophet into bootloader mode. Tried pressing every sequence of keys to enter into bootloader mode. Do you think is there any solution?

That was really helpful. What i missed was i released comm manager button after pressing soft reset. What i had to do was to keep pressing comm manager button after soft reset & till tri-color screen. Thnx. Lets see if i can get to do the rest.

Hi guys !

I've tryed to upgrade my S200 G4 with a latest rom for my girlfriend but the upgrade seems to have failed. Now when I plug my S200, it auto reboot every 2 secondes. It displays the RGB mode during 2 sec, then it reboot, it displays the RGB during 2 sec, then it reboot etc...

Sometimes, if I removed battery during few minutes, then plug it, it doesn't reboot quickly, so I launch an upgrade process but I've got an error [CONNECTION ERROR].

I've tried many solutions found on XDA but no way :(

2. check you power supply,

3. try hard reset,

4. then force bootloader manually...

There are some Hardspl exceptions, your and mine are the same.....

Just flash happily with LazyTool for any WM6.1 roms ( except 20759. it needs special attention though).....

You need to make sure Hard/Soft SPL has worked, since you're going back to bootloader it's clear that it hasn't worked fully.

One day, my Qtek S200 [HTC Prophet] stopped working, t got stuck on the initial Vodafone screen, the one with the IPL and SPL numbers.

So I tried to update the firmware. I´ve been reading this and other posts, and understood that I need to HardSPL the device, and then load a firmware. I did it from the three color screen, as I can´t get ActiveSync connectivity because its stucked on the initial screen.

HardSPL didn´t work (as your Prophet).... and now I get stuck in the same SPL/IPL screen but with the official HTC "cloudy" screen instead of the old Vodafone screen.

I´ve tried the Lazy tool with a Crystal 6.1 firm (nk.nbf), but it didn´t work.
I also tried to update the Radio ROM, and it works, downgrade and upgrading.

Don´t know what to try next !!

for those CANNOT successfully flash the hardSPL (e.g. same spl after HardSPL flashes) ,

then follow the clicks on PC, thats it !!

BE NOTED: there are issues about the PC performance, will get connection errors after

You MAY need to flash for some tries.

I did have one case to flash my prophet for 3 times to return in a succeed.

Now, I can flash any 6.1 rom fast and easy even my SPL shows: 1.00.0000 (IPL 1.00)

just finish direct flash to V's green 6.1.... wondering why takes a bit long in rebooting.. :( :D:D

It seems you are the only one with LazyTool trouble......

I need you to list your detail steps in upgrading :)

Please tell me what you had done and which rom you are flashing :) and detail steps,.... you must had missed something :)

P.S.

1. LazyTool is a tool, you must put your wanted *.nbf into it before flash.

2. If Hardspl tried and had no success, well, you can directly flash the NVID first (no need lazyTool at the moment),

3. then restart, activesync, and flash with LazyTool, no be precised with steps ;)

Nothing has helped so far. My Imate JAMin is still stuck in that screen showing IPL, SPL and stuff. I did do the hardSPL a while back so it does show the correct SPL for a G3.

Additional RECOVERY steps for 3 colors screen boot-up after flashing...

a. Force Bootloader Mode MANUALLY (see below Point 4 for How To ),

@b. Then flash NVID - AKU 2.* WM5 rom for recovering your Prophet ( P.S. the boot up screen will be changed to Qtek...)....^_^,

NVID_RUU.zip hosted on 4shared.com is either corrupt or invalid. Can't unzip it. Same goes for any NVID ROM I found on the wiki...what do I do now? :(

And by the way, I can't force anything, let alone the bootloader screen. When I press communication manager button and do the soft reset with the stylus my Prophet just shuts down and stops responding. I have to take the battery out and put it back in for it to even get stuck in the same screen again...

For anyone who ever gets as badly stuck as I was, try removing the SD card and soft reset. That got me the tri colored screen. I got

This NVID works and its the only file I could find that wasn't corrupt and was in English...its amongst the files mentioned in the wiki:
RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID.exe (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Prophet_ROMs)

Once the NVID is flashed, you can HardSPL the device again and flash any ROM you like...

I have i-mate JAMin and I want to sync it with Ubuntu, I did every thing as Synce website adviced. but no success.

I have upgraded the rom to manila WM6 but no sucess.

The thing which made me mad is my friend have HTC HD and it has been synchronized on my ubuntu and the difference is that he has in the usb to pc setting an opion called (enable fast sync......etc)

Could you please help me in this issue because it is important to me to sync JAMin with ubuntu

my m600 (orange uk) is now just sticking on the splash screen showing ipl 2.10.0001 spl 2.g4.4pda, after trying following this guide using the lazy tool yesterday the lazy tool completed installing a rom but upon restart wouldnt go past splash screen since then i tryed about 4-7 different roms all install ok but same problem upon restart and if i try hard reset i just get format failed an baclk to the splash screen i have even tried going back to nvid 2207114 rom this gets to 95% the pops up with error (this nbf cannot be used) and orginal orange uk shipped rom will install ok but not boot plz help ive had 2 days at this an 4 a.m now cannot sleep:):):):)

Ok chaps please remember this software was written well before windows 7 and i hope i am not wrong in saying not compatible.

So here are your solutions for flashing hard spl in windows 7

First you need to install the drivers for windows 7 get those here and the guide make sure you follow this guide to the letter and everything will work fine ,

Next i would give Bikertibi's Prophet upgrade run this you will see a box with hard spl tick the box and start the upgrade tool when it has finished successfully you will be able to upgrade to any ROM you choose

1. You cannot flash RADIO ROM 2.19 without ActiveSync,

2. you should go back to WM5 (NVID, it completes your SPL, Radio and rom) then active sync should work, after that back to WM6 or up,

3. force bootloader manually with buttons pressed should work with NVID :),

4. Better flash with LazyTool ( I did face errors with other utilities sometimes :()

this is it,the end of my dopod journey, after i follow the step using ROMUpdateUtility_No_VenderID,loading up to 100% and then appear ERROR (326): Invalid Command,
note: ERROR [320 ~ 328]: INVALID COMMAND
These errors seldom occur. However, if one of these errors occur, it could not be recovered and the device had to be sent back to the customer service center. In this case, you have to flash a new ROM code.
maybe i do a mistake, but still can this one be solved?
finally,if still cannot solved, I must say goodbye to my lovely dopod.

my spv m600 wont boot anymore, it stay on orange logo and dont show nothing.......IPL/SPL/OS/Radio Version............nothing

--->I tried both, soft spl and hard spl with no succes after a while, on my phone memory i find a file called "haret.exe" i clicked on it and the phone restarted, showing the linux logo and some text in green color for a second or two, after that blank screen.................
i removed the battery and tried to boot it but nothing it show only the logo
i tried to hard reset but when i press the green it says "Formating FAT Partition" Format Complete" ang stuck in orange logo with no other info on screen<---
When i connect it to pc nothing hapens in "Device Manager" is not shown.....
What to do now..................???
Is my prophet dead or what.....................!!!

Almost 99% 'bricked' prophet can be recovered using the NVID rom file. 1% need JTAG :)

btw .. you have a G4 (ips/spl end with 0001)

No, the solution you ask is not for you because your ipl/spl is still for prophet while the thread you stated was for ipl/spl wizard wrongly flashed into a prophet.

I mean the tweak of cuting the charger for forcing the phone to be detected by the pc not for the rom he used, i will use the NVID rom once i get it connected, but this is a problem.................
I arledy done the driver update for vista/seven (as in the link) when my phone work normally, but still it cant be detected.......

The tweak mention is to make the phone gets a stable power supply so that the phone can boot up and stay powered on.

If you can enter the bootloader mode without doing the tweak, that is sufficient enough. The problem is how to make the computer recognize the device through usb cable.

To enter bootloader mode easily (my style), remove battery, hold camera button + power button and insert the battery, wait for several seconds. I always get to bootloader mode (tri-color screen) this way :)

My Friend, dioxda2 can u help me again, something wrong with the software/registry or i need go to 'service area' and replace the speaker, how to test and to found the problem? :D

1. You cannot flash RADIO ROM 2.19 without ActiveSync,

use other charger to charge your battery first :) or

borrow a battery to flash NVID first then charge your battery with the prophet. :)

dO YOU HAve A CLUE THAT why it was stucked?

I was caused by G3 and G4 wrong flashing, bring it to the factory,

if it wasn't, try force to boot loader (as mentioned @ post #1) and flash.

should be OK. Good Luck :)

yes i did with force boot too but in vain. actually some one tried to 6.1 with his own method I don't know who, but i get it from my client. so don't know exact its history. Any how thank you to reply and I hope i'll be able to do so,,, with your help

Hi everybody!

Ive got a question:
my Prophet had a lot of successful ROMs update (WWE/RUS). Last update was made by scheme:
1. insatlled 734 NVID
2. SoftSPL to "root"-> SPL.ink-> white screen-> update ROM-> new ROM Prophet

From this article in details:
ROM - WM6.1 Prophet Sprint Manila(OS 5.2.21015) (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487665)

Now Iam trying to update my ROM to another.

3. SoftSPL to "root"-> SPL.ink-> ... and thats all. Prophet not response. In good light, I see the screen once blink (from dark to grey dark).

No any actions.

4. Battery off ... 1-2 minutes. The same operations ... nothing.
5. Manual bootloader -> CommManger button, Soft Reset ... Prophet not response. In good light, I see the screen once blink (from dark to grey dark).
6. HardSPL by dioxda2 ... Error 260.
7. Lazy_Tool with normal nk.nbf ... Error 260.

But ROM - Sprint Manila is still working.

Any suggestions to:
- get bootloader
- update ROM
- run SPL.ink for white screen
