A little help please...i´m new in here and i ihave tried some times to install one of these roms but without success. I installed the Pdaviet Temp and to my surprise when i booted my PDA it was still in WM5. I think i did all the rights steps but still it doesn´t change. So my question is, can anyone help me with this?
My doubt is if it upgrades to WM6 only after the installation of one of these altered roms like shadow or Crystal...can you tell me that?
And to install those do i have to change any file like in the New WM6 Guide?
Please help because i wanted my Prophet with WM6 and Touch style interface.

Thks cloudyfa! Just tried the new rom its great but there is a few bugs i notice i am having problems trying to import my contacts from pimbackup & the accessories folder in programs disappear after i get the error msg from pimbackup. I also cant delete or copy files to my mc everytimes its says its in read only mode or someone is using the files? :)

edited: Just tested & found out that my mc is corrupted & after doing hard reset everything is Great!

You better read the upgrade guides first. I can tell by your question that you don't have any (basic) knowledge of upgrading. For everything there's a first time.
But to avoid writing what already has been written, you better do some homework.

A short answer: PDAViet temp IS! a WM5 ROM. It is an No Vendors ID version, that takes care of a certain predictable state of your device. So WM6 can be upgrade afterwards. (this is the classic method).

I think this SRS WOW application forced your device too much.. Maybe..

I don't use that application, cos I think, force speaker is bad for me. Better use Ipod , if I want best quality for music.

Can I go to Step 1 of PDA Viet Temp and then flash to Shadow?, I don't understant the new method.
I have tried this and I got in bootloader screen, and had to revert to WM5 (VIET1).
Perhaps my problem is an old IPL, its show 2.15.0001 and I cannot change it, however I was able to upgrade this way to Touch Xb by Gullum.

Yes,i've installed the SRS WOW before,and the speaker's suddenly dead! I soft restart but the sound still gone, then i do hard reset and everything is fine.
Now i didn't install SRS but the sound sometimes gone,and now soft reset can fix it !!

Last time I manage to surf the net using our prophet when it is connected to the PC and the PC is with internet connection on and now with the touch rom, it cannot be done.??

that version is with fixed audio manager..

one of them , I have changed the HTC Home Icon with the Prophet Shadow Clean Edition Icon ( the HTC Icon from that ROM ) , and do change on Clock Colour..

The bugs at the audio is stop playing after 5 minutes.. ( Happened to the original version..(-->download on the first page.) )

my edited version is no bugs at audio manager.. I've fixed it..

I remake the Audio Manager at my Version..And make the nk.nbf file against. Everythings is the same one as the original one from claudyfa.. So this ROM is the same as Claudyfa, but with the fixed audio manager.
So it is better if you reinstall your ROM with my ROM, if you want to .
First of all , you should backup your data first.. and run the rom that i remade.

hey, i have two prophet's and installed the rom on both of them.

but on the first one i managed to get the xt9 language of the standard keyboard to dutch, but i don't know how to do this anymore for the second prophet.

I know how to change the touch keyboard's language but not that of the original keyboard. Can anyone explain me where to change that setting?

Cloudyfa this ROM is great. Thank you.

There are a few things that i think it's bugs:

1- The battery never gets fully charged (charging and charging at 99%, battery led never goes green, always orange).
2- Photo and Video Manager always rotate screen to the left (is it possible to rotate to the right?)
3- Touch Home Profiles: The "automatic" profile can´t be configured in any way?

Offtopic: I have done the HardSPL and then flashed your ROM. Everything went well. If i want to go back to my original WM5 ROM what do i have to do? (This procedure is not described in the "New WM6 Upgrade Guide".

Run Soft SPL from your device root dir (\), when the white screen shows, execute the G3 or G4 update EXE program from Shadow.

this ROM is ROCKING... it's almost perfect (however Perfection is for GOD only) BUT (always there is But):
1- the Audio Manager of HTC home is quit slow :(
2- the Rom is slower than ordinary old fashioned wm6 (e.g. Touch XB) :(
3- I used to always upgrade and try every ROM made here, in between not to loose contacts and SMS, i used to use PIMbackup program.... so I used it on XB and stored everything on Storage card... after flashing your ROM and try to Restore, it restores ONLY Contacts BUT DOES NOT ACCEPT to RESTORE MESSAGES.. this is the first ROM to refuse restoring messages.... i'm thinking to back to Touch XB Rom and restore the messages then backup then using another program e.g. HTC Data Backup.... and re-Flash your ROM ... but what i ask Y PIM backup deosn't work and tell me NO message is delivered to MS Outlook...although Contact Do... and Is it safe to return to XB, how do i do it (is is by direct flashing OR flash WM5 PDViet Temp for example then Touch XB? ) :mad:

Strange:eek: :eek: :eek: . I think there is a conflict because you restore a WM5 PIM backup over WM6. So you need to store the telephone numbers manually. Sorry to say that.

TIP: Save your contacts to your SIM card.

Sometimes you need to manually Clear Storage to complete instalation of WM6 on some Prophets. I had to do it all the time.

I've been a fan of your's since PDAVIET .3a ROM. I've tried all your ROMs and Shadow has to be my favorite since .3a. I feel indebted for the time and effort guys like Gullum, HM4 and you put in to help us rediscover our prophets now and again. pls keep the good work going.
Meantime I have a doubt - I belong to India and the networks here provide us with the channel 50 broadcast, which would mean I could get the cellsite name displayed on today screen. I use Batterystatus to display this but not often since every time I get a new update on cell cite my phone wakes up and I ended up dialing a number or executing a program, since I have the HTC homeplugin on my today screen. I've also noticed that the Homeplug is able to display the network name on the left corner. Is there any Reg tweak by which I can have the homeplug display my cellsite instead of the network's name? You missed the most thrilling news on this part of the forum: the NEW upgrade method!

Please read the stickied NEW upgrade guide.
In short, apply HardSPL and run the os.nbf (without extracting) with a RUU. By any means DON'T use the NVID anymore!! It will undo the HardSPL installation!

Excelent ROM, I love it, but in my PDA witch is a black S200, the theme is too gray, I like'd most the look of Fantastic 2.04b, of course, no BT and no Wifi works fine in that ROM.
Also the Big Storage alow us to install, update, anything we want, I think is the perfect aproach.
But I have a problem with the Bluethoot, I'm using MS Voice Command 1.6 patched version (for incoming call anounce to work), and a Motorola HF820 Bluethoot car kit. When I issue the command "PLAY Autor", the PDA respond "Witch Autor..." and begins to enumerate the autors of my SD MP3s files, but in the 3er or 4rth theme, it stops. Also, I can answers calls perfectly, but if I want to call somebody, for ex. I say "CALL Cecilia at Mobile", it respond with the name and I say "YES", the device execute the command (I can heard the sound of the cell numbers being pressed), but after that, silence.
I had tried the included stereo headphones and they work fine every time.
Touch Xb by Gullum also fails same way.
Perhaps is a bluethoot problem?
One other thing, when I receibe a call from a protected "Private" number, it began to sound the ring tone but it stops after 2 secs, and looses the call. Same with Gullum's.

It has also happenned to me. It seems like prophet trying to send the SMS several times untill all recipients are included (but should not send it to the other recipients in the meanwhile !)

Any idea/solution?

Who tell you that MMS 4.2.8.1 is newer? This is old MMS which is moded to split SMS and MMS, i believe that this is a fake version bc Arcsoft has merge SMS and MMS from version 4.0. And in the lastest ROM (other devices ofcourse), they have version 4.0, not 4.2 man.

I don't think most of them are outdated except PIM backup (now we has 2.7) bc the time i release this ROM, dotfred hasn't release it yet.

The problem with Media Player where when you turn off it stops playing. I think this is the only rom where this is a problem. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Somone suggested using a button command in wmp to turn offf the screen but unfortunately this still leaves all the other buttons active.

are you sure the music does not stop playing with audiomanager with the screen off?
Because i tried the first FIXED rom and i had the same problem...

You have to start it from HTC today plugin.. and it wont stop..

Try to soft reset the device.

Can anyone confirm if the WPA2 in the wifi was left out in this rom ??

I conected to net, after 10 networs is lose , then disconect and cant conect anymore , while soft reset and same action... conect, disconect...
I use O2 neo and LiksSys wi-fi router

I am using a dopod 818pro, and i am a fan of your almost roms, now i am also using the Shadow TE, it is a perfect room i think if we did not have these bugs:

_ Today Home Screen, Whenever i click to HTC Audio Manager - It went very slowly (2minutes) sometimes hanged on, then choosing asong will be really hanged on once again, i can't ever play any songs by HTC Audio Manger, every times i have to take soft reset. Can I remove HTC Audio Manager, i think it took alot of memory and slow.

_ I got another bug is program memory consumed much faster, the first running i see it around 25MB but after 2days used it went down to 18 then 17 and then 15MB then very slow, i have to do soft reset, Please anyone got any ideas to make the Program Memory refresh again without soft reset.

Note*: I did not used too much program, just phone, message, music playing sometimes very rare, using CUBE. That's it but the memory is going down too fast.

Anyway, Thanks very much for this room, This is almost perfect room.

This ROM is very nice. I like it very much. This is the first who keeps me all the mails and all the settings after resetting my device. A lots of stuffs but a little bit slower and my processor is working in 100% most of time. Not this is the big problem. I think the battery level is not correct. My device begin resetting himself when the battery reach 45-50% and after a while suddenly my battery level reach 0%.

What seems to be the cause?

i have 2 questions:

1) how can i save the picture save in stoarge card when using the HTC Camera;
- i only have 'Main Memory' & 'Network' from the save to menu

2) how can i change the waiting logo back to original windows waiting logo.

Same for me and now you come to mention it I'm sure the SMS recipient field worked in the original ROM and now not in this bug fixed one one. Very strange.

Still, its the best ROM by far but I'd like to see it redone without WKTask, PIMBackup and any other application that is still being developed - not possible to update without cooking yourself!

just disable xt9 setting and it should be work..

With XT9 Enabled I Had:

I try to open Camera then close it immediately (not shot the any photo), after close Camera see the Battery, I saw the % of battery loss in about 2% from current status?? Don't worry,

That is just a figure and shows in the normal acceptable range,

1. actually, that will not every time cost you 2%,

2. just caused by sudden impulse in electrical current frustration,

3. IF that cost you 2% every time with a open and shut camera step ( 10 times = 20%), BIG PROBLEM .... but,

4. depend on the age of your battery, the software that you are currently using,

5. the recharge method,

6. and the habit that you use you prophet.

So, for average, occasionally, NORMAL.

Hi, i'm trying this version now for about 6weeks and i found one big and one not so big issue:

the big issue:
my reception of the phone became very bad. Normally i had 3 bar of 4 in our lecture room at university. now, with Shadew 1.0 TE i have zero to 1 bar !!! i'm sitting at the same place, other mobiles with the same provider have over 80% signal there. if i move my prophet out of my pocket and put it on my desk SWITCHED ON, after 30s or so i have 1-2 bars - moving it 20cm results in no more reception. ?! if i keep my prophet on the position where i got 2 bars and switch it off, after 5-10mins i'm having no more signal :eek:
i think its a big problem!!! anyone else having these problems? i checked the taskmanager, normal cpu-usage is around 5%.
also my batterydrain is more than normal, after 2 days i'm at 5%, with the old transformer 1.1 i had about 25% left :confused:

the smaller bug:
if i use my contacts via "contacts" from menu or softbutton, it has these quite usefull alphabetic list on the right side, but if a wanna add a name for my sms and i use "Add receiptant" from outlook the list doesn't appear. any suggestions?

i'm looking forward for help! i'm lovin this version, its stable but if the signal-problem keeps on i'm going back to transfomer
