Rough when this will be ready huh?
I tried the Shadow. It's great. But strangely, I don't find it's fast. Even slower than Mysterious, especially after install Touch Keyboard/Keypad. It's sluggish even. I love Touch Keypad so much.
The rest all working fine.
One more thing on Shadow. Whenever I reset (be it hard or soft), when it prompt for SIM card pin number, if I enter it immediately, the GPRS will not work (NO SERVICE) and time display on the HTC Home will go freeze. But, if I wait for 10 second or so then enter, everything will work perfectly. Didn't try to disable the pin though. Or I guess it's got something to do with the password thing (password remembered even after soft reset) that you fixed? This is not so crucial though. The speed however is very irritating.

2. Both shadow clean and touch are BS, if tends to go back to WM5 2.20
how? 2.20 is not BS.

that's bc the OS can't change theme correctly, you should change to another theme and back to HTC_Default to have all in black :D

If you read all guide carefully, you'll see that i've uploaded a cab for those who like the Cube. After install it, do a soft reset, slide from top -> bottom bar to active the Cube (the same as Transformer activation)

I must say thank you to cloudyfa and all that helped him for an amazing rom! this will be the one that breaks my four month no-flash streak since flashing to transformer(the longest I've ever gone!).

Hello Friends,

I have found a problem with this rom, in fact the net framework included.

As far as i know there is 3.5 version of the net framework. And as far as i see it is a buggy version. Every application that depends on Net framework exits spontaneusly and gives some error message. I found and installed Net Framework 2.0 and all those programs now seem ok.

So what's the problem ? And Is there anyone facing the same problem ?

I just flashed to this ROM.
So far so good. This one works really fast even without over-clocking unlike the None-Touch Edition.

But same like the None-Touch Edition, when reboot the phone and you key in the SIM card pin number too fast, you will not get data service and the time at HTC Home will be freeze (not running).
Not big deal though. You just have to wait like 15 seconds after the PIN number prompting appear, then key in and Enter. Everything will work perfectly. Maybe it's got something to do with the fix on the password change and soft-reset issue?

everything is perfect in this rom and here is a cube which works on mine
although photo caller id of home plugin do not get assigned to same photo on cube ,they need seperate assigning

That is exactly what is supposed to happen, just tick the checkboxes an press OKE (or Continu or whatever...)

I guess it would be better if it will work like in the Touch X that weh nthe music player minimized, the mp3's info still appears in the HTC Home.

by the way, where can I found the cab for the HTC Album version installed in this ROM or at least point the thread url? I just love it, I much prefer it than the other HTC Album that has select folder option.

1 - Download G3 tool here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1718372&postcount=6
2 - Extract it to C:\, sync your PPC with PC
3 - Run Upgrade_SPL.bat, when done, check your SPL (when you reset your device) if it's 2.G3.4PDA or not.
4 - Download my ROM, then run ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3.exe to upgrade

in an event of extrom getting corrupt (because elements are not read only) would our handset get stuck up forever if we didn't have computer near by to flash it again ,makes me think prophet clean shadoW was better because its rom included everything ,please i request a release from you soon which extrom only has some readonly cabs like for windows live and voip ,streaming ,quickmenu ,and wktask ,which people require as secondary. atleast config.txt in extrom so it could be modified since we do not have your kitchen yet ,if you have given kitchen it would be fine just tell us links ,also all general programs which modify weather icons and time display digits and comm screen background use /windows folder by default means ,again stuck up to use one type of icons ,or replace them manually which has chances of extrom getting corrupt again.

please author i am impressed with your work of art i am just discussing one more rom from you or the kitchen link would be good option,since company extroms only contain readonly cabs.

This is very good, just switched from k0ster's. I think it's almost as quick and has some advantages over that one.

For people struggling, I had to downgrade to WM5, apply old style install of WM6 (I used Touch VIII) then apply HardSPL. Any other way and HardSPL failed. Finally I could then get this to install, otherwise stuck at bootloader.

Hi Cloudyfa, I've found an "old bug" in both Shadow roms.
The sound disappears after some usage. If you type several numbers on dealpad you'll be able to reproduce this issue.

the workaround is to disable the keypress sound... but that a good idea to do anyway..... no disturbing other people while making calls in public places and the phone is faster when typing numbers in.

Please don't use any other method to unlock ExtROM as it maybe not unlock well with this ROM. You may destroy your ExtROM.
For those who wanna change skin of HTCHomePlug, CommManager,..... just use RegEdit and go to this key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles\ TRUEFFS_DOC1]
"MountHidden"=dword:1
Change 1 -> 0, restart device, a folder named iShadoW appear (this is your ExtROM). Change the skin or graphic you like, then change the reg back to 1, reset again -> done.

For those who wanna disable XT9 to have word suggestion in "TO: " field, you better try to use the new Keyboard (or KeyPad) this way: Input 1,2 char then press Space!

First.. you have to extract nk.nbf file .. And you will get Os.nb and Ext.rom

my harddrive is in ntfs so winamge gives FAT FAT32 error for extracted file by WST_v4.2.1 and cannot further split it to os.nb and extrom.nb ,there is one more important thing coming to my mind ,what if you put os.nb which you got from here (varanus) and put it in touch X kitchen os.nb and then recompose a new rom and flash but still i guess drivers will be coming from X not this new shadow ,the proof of which will be that battdrvr.dll (hidden) in shadoW is 33kb and that of touch X is 36 kb and this file is the one to show device id too as pm300 ,its a big issue for me since i cannot get split up os.nb and extrom.nb from you or my system due to ntfs ,may be you could find time and upload them and i would bake them into touch X kitchen

anyway,you can't use this OS.nb in TOUCH X Kitchen..

Last time I've try to make OEM and SYS from this OS.nb..Recooked it with the kitchen. But doesn't work..

But I think.. I need something from XIP..Maybe from Trinity.. Or maybe from somewhere else...

Dunno what to do at that time.. And have to learn for exam at the beginning of january.. I hate exam.. and have to learn chemistry for it..

Be sure the file you extract is 9b000000-ExtRom.nb rather than 80040000-OS.nb. It works with NFTS format, good luck!

but why show my old sim card on a original rom and gullums roms the correctly operator :confused: :confused:

I just tried the folder-selectable-htcalbum and OF COURSE it works!
Something intersting is that the original htcalbum.exe with "迭擇文件夾" you chose for the cab might probably be distracted directly from an older version made by a Chinese developer.

I came upon, however, a hacked version showing "select folder" rather than "迭擇文件夾" not long ago and I guess you might have made a cab based on this hacked file instead at the first place.

The attached are two thumbnails to show the difference and the hacked file showing "select folder", just in case you insist on makeing ShadoW_CameraAlbum.cab perfect^^" (I would have done that if it were not my muddy knowledge toward programming)

And more! To allocate all graphics for file-copious apps such as htckeyboard, htcalbum, media player, (or maybe Cube when the space is allowed) etc., into the ext_rom is really a fantastic idea! It is less to where the files stored that is controversial rather than to straddle between richness and neatness for a great rom!

Note: @all: the attached htcalbum.exe alone doesn't work in ShadoW_Touch probabaly for different paths written for needed graphics.

I changed my reg key and tried to copy my graphics to the extrom (iShadow), but I had a message that you cannot copy!

Copy this file to your PPC and run it, then soft reset, now you can change the graphic without rolling back :)

I came upon, however, a hacked version showing "select folder" rather than "迭擇文件夾" not long ago and I guess you might have made a cab based on this hacked file instead at the first place.

1. try to go to the global settings and the contacts setting to make proper checks and pay attention to

a. " exit " the program to activate certain changes sometimes,
b. after upgrade, did you make proper hard-reset?
c. did you try the restore to factory default option of the Prophet?
d. confirm the WM6 compatibility from the PI 2007 official web site... :)

2. More details is needed to solve your problem like this, take care to your wireless router setting, what kind of security setting ? wep? wap? with keys?
some settings of the router may NOT reconnect automaticly after Prophet off and on.

but, in my opinions, the crux should be connection can be suceeded. Is it correct? :)

Any WM6 can with no bug? Rarely yes.

Just simply go for the other theme like " Architect " or else, then change back ,

normally, NO soft reset is needed. :)

Just curious the audio manager issue.
I didn't encounter the issue because I don't use audiomanager.
However, out of pure curiosity I tried it and it indeed shuted down automatically. (the same issue happens to Esmertec Jbed + Opera Mini sometimes)

Modify the registry as below if you want to activate WMP by tapping the Music tab of HTCHome

Did you do a hardreset after succesful flash? If no hold the reset button and hold the camera and comm button, then release the reset but the camera and comm button stay pressed until Press send to restore factory default appears. Just press the green button. Now it restores the device to factory default. Wait until the device and the programs are installed. Now you can restore your PIM data thats in your backup image.

I installes tomtom 6 after flashing your rom.
After that I cannot open "programs" from the start menu, file explorer opens instead. If I want to open "settings", I get to internet explorer....
Can I fix that in some way?
Otherways everything seems to work OK, and looks very nice.

Strange:eek: :eek: :eek: . I think there is a conflict because you restore a WM5 PIM backup over WM6. So you need to store the telephone numbers manually. Sorry to say that.

TIP: Save your contacts to your SIM card.

So you have that problem too if you do a hardreset and you try to input a new contact? If so, you can try reflashing the rom on your prophet. But remember, that rom is pretty new. So it's not bugless.

I don't think that can be done. I think that the PIM backup cannot be fully restored bucause you have WM6 on your device.

I'm testing this ROM but unfortunatly I think may Qtek S200 is messed up. After one day of testing, the equipment now goes blank or turns off and I can´t turn on. Only with a soft reset (with the stylus) I can recover the equipment (ps: this also happened with other ROMs)

I've been using this ROM for 6 days and it's all perfect (except audio manager bug - stop playing after 5 min, but It's not because of the ROM).

Battery consumption is low (average 3 days to charge) and I can use my prophet up to 10% level (in any other ROM it will stop on 30% or 20%).
The speed is really good also with big storage & program memory.

The problem with my audio manager is that, usually at the second music of the playlist it end the program, normally its about 5 minutes form the start.

I've never tested with musics longer than 5 minutes to test the situation you've described.

I'll try your fix and check if its solved.

Bug Lain yg saya temukan adalah seringkali suara speaker tiba-tiba saja mati. Jika ada tlpun masuk suara tidak terdengar,tp cukup restart uda sembuh.

Bug Lain yg saya temukan adalah seringkali suara speaker tiba-tiba saja mati. Jika ada tlpun masuk suara tidak terdengar,tp cukup restart uda sembuh.

Another bug is the speaker suddenly dead and can resolve by restarting the device.
Little bug but annoying.

I think it's because of hardware problem.. With me, everythings is fine.
No problem too with imcoming call on my device during playing some music ..
