Hey, man. Merry Christmas.
What would I like in it? Too long of a list... that's why I started making my own. lol
Do you still have a Herald to test things out with? I'd love your opinion on my CleanROM/BluePad.
But anyways, I can't say what I'd want, since I'm already making it. lol
Good to see you, though.

It's good to know I'm not the only one with an emotional attachment to my phone. LOL
Try out my CleanROM and tell me what you think. It's not the prettiest but I was aiming for speed and a stable ROM with no bugs before actually cooking the apps.

Vista compatibility, big memory, lots of free ram. I think thats a good base, and then let people add all of their bell and whistles themselves.....
Oh and by the way, Ivan, the bluepad is running quite nicely!

perhaps if there are not enough herald users that respond, another wing release would be nice. if you are willing to supply, but the demand is low for heralds, might as well switch the supply to the high demand of wing users. just my 2 cents -and i would really appreciate it.
then i could choose between open touch 2.0 and touch it 2.4 (or however you choose to do your versions numbering).

That´s perfect, please find out together what are the difference between Heraldrom and wingrom - then everybody would be able to get the rom he wants.
That would be a christmas present.
Nice days for you and enjoy some free time!!!!!
BTW: I would like a clean rom only with
HTC Home
HTCActionscreen
Totalcommander
classikblack.tsk
Todayagenda
TCPMP
Fast and 30mb ram
btw i prefer batterystatus - it is bigger but better than omapplus

not unlikly that some stuff there will be included.
And I agree, BS is a better app then omap.
But when the rom is released, I dont want to hear any complaints on what is left out and w/e is in the rom, cause all have diffrent needs.
But I will try to clean out all "scrap" that consume to much of memory.
And that will be in.ex:
Internetsharing
Live
Update
Transcriber
gif files
ringtones
mms templates
picture samples
video samples
and so on

Nice to hear the possibility of you creating a much needed and clean herald rom. IF you were to create a clean rom, I would definitely like the (1) Quick menu (2)HTC Actionscreen, (3) Totalcommander, (4)classikblack.tsk, (5) batterystatus, and (6) touch flo.
Also to add - I like the "Extra" and the "Office Mobile" folders (and what they included) that were included in the Touch-It version 3, as well.

Quickmenu is not a option, but im sure you can use a cab :)

that's fantastic news if you are going to go ahead with it, over and above what you have included before I would love to see included;
rss hub, htc large start menu and titlebar, htc action menu, tcpmp with the youtube plugins, WM5torage, and WinRAR instead of the zip app, adobe reader le, jbed java (instead of midlet manager).
Also I saw in somebody elses ROM that they have included fax viewer in their office setup, would love that.
Obviously I understand that everybody wants different things, but I think all herald users would appreciate an update of any type. Keep up the good work!

If he's making a Wing ROM, then there's already a clean ROM... if he's making a Herald ROM, he can just use my Base and change the keymap.

lmao, no offence....
but why would I bother to release a rom cooked on other ppls work?
When releasing a new rom now, its a brand new base/build. Not anything I or other have built before :p

ah it will be based of the windows 6.1???
hehe
and of course there will be complains about: why didn´t you? and why did you?
that is human beeing.....
never to agree with someone else work.
i REALLY tested alot for anichillus and other gys from wizard forum. and i know some facts - but i never released a rom: because it is such a hard work and then - you get no THANKS
no donations - o k - but no real thanks without any discussion = that´s not possible in a world where you can get illegal roms for free which are WAY WAY better than microseft ever will release.
I thank you for your good work and i will test everything _ but i will BEVER ask you: why didn´t you.......
because it is YOUR work, YOUR choice and OUR CHANCE to test it for free.
and if we like it : to say THANK YOU!!!

6.1..yeah I wish I had that one :)
but no, its just a port from another "new" HTC device :)
The basic test rom is up on my p4350 now, so the port was success, well atleast to booting up and running ok.
Now it needs to be cleaned up and be cooked into a "brand new" look

but 6.1 is out somewhere.
there are videos.
but it is discussed as "not very much new and only new looking"...

Im beta testing the rom now.
And I will reveal a little more info:
The ported OS is from Nike/Niki/Touch Dual
And the rom is amazingly fast and responsive. I have never seen my herald run so fast and smooth before. But there is still alot of work to be done.

Thanks for even the consideration not to mention all your hard work. I was actually getting depressed because no one was releasing roms for the hearld/P4350....
Although you're probably partial but as an opinion should I get a HTC advantage or the Tytn II as my next device

I wasn't trying to tell you to use my ROM. I was just pointing out that there was already a clean ROM and that you didn't need to make another one. (Unless of course, you can make it more stable and with newer features.)

It is nice to see that even having moved to the kaiser's Itje's keeps coming back home for Christmas :D We have some nice advs here in Spain regarding this.
My only concern is that the last Touch It releases were not able to read several audio files that your previous versions were able to (aac, some mp3). I guess there is so much rubish to take out from the Official Roms, but I would really apreciate to be able to listen to those files or if someone has a way to solve this (installing audiomanager unfortunatelly did not work :( )
I am currently running Touch-It 2.0 and it is the best ROM I've tried by now. I do not care bricking so I will be pleased to try the betas. I also have to say that Itje's roms NEVER bricked my phone. Reading the Readme file is worth.
I can't wait to try this... will this come with Santa (Tomorrow) or the Three Magician Kings (5th January)? It would be the perfect gift :D
Just a joke. Take your time and delight us with your cooking skills.
A fan.

You had some nice what in spain?
The new rom has the drivers you want, and also has the newest build of audiomanager.
Unfortunatly Santa wont provide you with a new rom this christmas.

Yeah I noticed that :) So I just had to build a new one.

There is a kind of Typical Spanish hard cake called "turron" which are sold in Christmas and there was a TV advertisement whose song was "Vuelveee a casaaa vuelveee, por Navidaaaad" (Comeees baaack homeee, he cooomes baaack hooome for Christmas Tiiime).
It showed soldiers, fishermen, the lonely family having dinner and then the doorbell ringed... Like here at the Herald Forum... our ringbell just rang. It was you, Itje :p
Santa was never my favourite anyway :D

Less criticized than the movie (Return of the Jedi), just as high-tech but much more wanted!
Thank God, or in this case Itje, for returning. Haven't been able to cook myselves a good ROM so I depend on what is supplied in this forum.
Running 2.3 for Herald right now and very content; but if your brewing a new recipe you might as well add some new things.
I would prefer a Rom inculding:
- HTC Home
- HTC Album
- HTC Audio Manager
- HTC Random Access
- HTC Enlarged Menu
- TouchFlo
- Battery Status
- Office Mobile 6.1
- One Note Mobile
- Live (version excl. contact sync - 10.6 I think)
- Adobe Reader LE
- Adobe Flash LE
- Advanced Configuration Tools (by schnaps)
- Advanced Taskmanager
- Pocker Rar
- Remote Desktop Mobile
- Oxios Memory- PPC PimBackup
- Rom Settings
- SMS BackUp
- Total Commander
- TCPMP
- WM5Torage
- WM6 Remote Desktop
- 6MB Pagepool
- Reg. Tweaks
Thank you very much for your work ITje, we all really appriciate your work. Eventhough some of us seem to think otherwise.

Sorry - but in my eyes this wouldnīt be a clean rom.....
clean = vanilla meas completly struggle down and only to put in what is requiered to get the 51mb space.
alll other can be added by .cab or by cooking an own om.

there will be many versions
fully loaded (and then some)
Loaded
basic
lite
ultra lite
Dont ask if you can cook it, the answer is no.
Maybe one day.
Is that fair? yes it is :)
I have been reading through other chefs "cooked" versions of my roms, and I really dont appreciate some of the stuff that has been talked about there.
So this rom will not be released for cooking until eventually a newer rom will replace this.
there is a few that will get a "homcooking version" or a custom if they want it. You are allready on my msn, so you guys know who you are.
I will pm you guys when the beta is ready (its almost complete) and give you download link for the beta (no, it wont be public beta)
