ok, I think i'm going to flash my tilt to the v1.1 of DualTouch, is there anything I need to be aware of? Since I got Dutty's 6B on my Tilt already, which I'm assuming I do not have to redo the hardspl right?

I am also having a problem with the favs disappearing after a soft reset and when they are there they don't dial.
I am using ROM v 1.1
I have deleted the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/OEM/MASD/QuickDial
Any suggestions?
Thanks

No, make sure you use the .11 or .17 or .32 radio with this ROM. It depends on your location really as to which will work better.
Also, use the TILT Keyboard fix in dutty's cabs.
That should to it.

I just upgraded to 1.1 but I haven't gotten the favs put in there yet. It worked fine with 1.0.

Hello there,

Here is the link for the KaiserTweak. The newest version of it was released on Dec. 23. Make sure you also download the .exe files as well. Place the .xml and the .exe into a folder (Your SD card is exactly the best place for it). Click on the .exe file and then do a soft reset after you enable the tweaks you want.

Thanks, I have 1.27.14.09 rom, would I still need to go to either one of the above or I can stay with it? it gives me good reception so far with Dutty's Tilt II Beta 6b version rom.

That is an ATT Only Radio. You would need to move to either .17 or .32. I have ATT also. You might want to check out this thread with links and descriptions to all the radios.

Just read through and understood the whole thing, thank you again. My last stupid question, is there any importance in which to install first? the Radio or the Dutty's new rom? which is the prefer sequence?

Here's what I sould suggest. Install the radio. Then install the ROM. Then when you get the device set up screen where is says to "tap the screen to set up your device", perform a hard reset. You can do this by click the right and left soft keys and inserting the stylus into the reset hole at the bottom of your phone. Follow the instructions on the screen and then set up your device. It's always best to perform a hard reset before using a new ROM.
Just any FYI.

I went to change the soft keys in the settings > Sytems tab.
When I did so it showed that the left and right soft keys were mapped as 1-Calc. and 1-Calc. I didn't actually change them and clicked cancel when I saw this. When I went back to the today screen they were changed to 1-calc and 1-calc. I just used advanced config to change the soft keys but I just found it interesting that it did this.

Ok... for those of you that don't use the cube and prefer your favorite people on the home tab. (This is probably why they don't include the fav people on the home screen to begin with)
1. Go to Programs > System Tools > FTouchFLOConfig > General > Enable Touch flo
2. Set up your favorites from the cube. (they will be reflected on the home tab)
3. If you don't want to use the cube, unclick the Enable Touch Flo from the same place.
The friends will stay put as long as you enabled them from the cube even if you don't use the cube.

Still running DualTouch ROM 1.0. Is anyone having a problem with the latest version of TrackMe on this ROM?
When I run it, it errors out with:
File or assembly name 'System.Data.SqlServerCe, Version=3.0.3600.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=3BE235DFC8D2AD3', or one of its dependencies, was not found.
Immediately followed by an .NET CF Initialization Error that says
The application failed to load required components. If the .NET Compact Framework is installed on a storage card, please ensure that this card is in place and launch the application again. If this failes, a re-installation of the .NET Compact Framework is recommended. Support info: -2147483643 (80000005)
I tried instaling .NET CF 3.5 again, as well as SQL Mobile 2005 (from Dutty's CABs), but that did not fix it. Actually CF3.5 fails to install.
Anyone have any insight on this?

When I use "Search This Thread" for MMS it comes back with zero results even though MMS is in the first post.
But anyways. Has ArcSoft MMS been removed from V1.1 as I only get Email and Text options in Messaging.
I take it's just a case of installing the cab file for it to correct this.
Thanks

WKTask had a battery meter, but I always disabled WKTask like the other people - didn't care for it.
However, QuickMenu also has a great battery icon for the top of the screen that will even show percent.

Go to Start>Settings>Sounds&Notifications>Events (warnings, system events) and uncheck this...
That didn't work here. I also find this menu tap sound rather annoying. Anyone else knows where to disable this? I'll take a look at the registry.
PS.: ooo forget it, I was unchecking the wrong box, sorry :D

Well it'll disable system sounds only I think, like the one you get when you try to turn off your device.
In fact I only wanted to disable that specific menu tap sound, but that will work for now.

Still running DualTouch ROM 1.0. Is anyone having a problem with the latest version of TrackMe on this ROM?
TrackMe won't work with .NET CF 3.5 ... it requires Microsoft Compact Framework 2.0.
Take a look: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=340667
The creator said that there'll be a version compatible with .NET CF 3.5 in some weeks.

Hey, Im using this ROM, and all is well. I like it a lot, good job!
However, I ran into a problem. I am trying to use ORB to stream video and music from home. Its .ASX stream. On Dutty’s No 7 rom, it used his custom windows media player, after some fighting, I got it to work. Now I am trying to do the same thing but its using a program called TCPMP. Every time it loads after clicking a link I get the error “file not found! –web “my doc\stream.wmvebasx”” How, can I get the streams to go back to windows media player, if it even exists in this rom? Any help with the streaming with ORB would be greatly appricated

Haha, ok,.... here's the step by step to get the favorite people to stick:
1. Start > Programs > System Tools
2. Click on "FTouchFloConfig"
3. General Tab
4. Check the box "Enable FTouchFLO"
5. Click on "Done" (the left soft key)
6. Touch the screen at the very bottom with your index finger and drag it medium speed up to the top of the screen. Almost like you are wiping something off of the screen. Just drag from the bottom middle to the top middle. This should activate the CUBE.
7. Do the same drag Left to Right until you see the favorite people cube face. You'll know because of all the plus signs.
8. Add your people from the cube interface.
9. Exit the cube by dragging from the top of the screen to the bottom.
10. Go back into FTouchFloConfig and uncheck the box "Enable FTouchFLO" if you don't want the cube around anymore.
If you disable touchFlo for the cube, it will ask you to reset the device, FYI.
That should do it. At least it worked for me. ;)

Hi Dutty, thanks for all the hard work. It's great to see you doing new things with your roms.
Feedback on 1.1:
Fast. The 20mb pagepool obviously agrees with this build :)
Dialler - very nice. Love the tabs for call history and such.
Opera - Love the fact that it's cooked in, but I'm pretty sure there's a licensing issue here. As a paid up user of Opera, I'd love to have it cooked in, but don't want anyone getting in trouble. Mini is free (the Java one), Mobile is not.
Hardware Keyboard - seems to be messed up with this one. If I type very slowly and deliberately it's fine, but when I type at my usual speed, it seems like the space bar registers before the first letter of a new word, for example: I ge ttextl iket hisw heret hes pacesa rea llm essedu p. I'd love to see some way that the XT9 HTC Stuff and the hardware keyboard could co-exist, but nobodies cracked that yet.

I know, I know - don't ruin it for everyone else. But...and this is a pretty big but so BUT - this could get Dutty, and potentially the whole XDA Developers site, in trouble. Bundle the 30 day trial, sure, and anyone that finds it useful should buy a license.

I'm not sure as Opera gets bundled with my htc x7500, which I'm not the first to use in a rom as the htc athena original and cooked roms gets bundled with it as well. I'm just using the cab s an oem package.

The cube in the dualtouch is updated and much faster than previous rom

mms is fully intact in this rom, try re-flash again and make sure you hard reset before start up
Did the hard reset on initial install but will do a reflash. Just seems odd that a bad flash was lose MMS function only and ROM still remain functional & stable.
Installing the MMS cab from your collection has put MMS back but will try a full reflash of your ROM also.
Keep up the good work Dutty, but now you need a bit of personal time with the family so don't expect you to be uploading new ROM's for next few days.
PS. The only thing I did change was the pagepool from your 20Mb to 32Mb using V2 of the pagepool changer

Hey Dutty, first of all thank u for the great work!!!
Unfortunately I have the same issue which bugs the hell out of me, kind of speak... Would there be an easy way to fix this, otherwise I will have to go back to 7b (and I never reverted back to a previous ROM yet).
Some other feedback:
- I really like the speed of the cubes which is really nice
- Slide to unlock is missing in this ROM
- PIM backup is also missing
- Starting applications is a lot slower, and my device also lags from time to time when trying to do something, might the big page pool be responsible for this?
- Why do u no longer include the hourglass/waiting/loading sign from the Touch? I know it was in ROM v6 which was really nice?
Otherwise great ROM, but I really need the hardware keyboard, so if it is not easily fixable I have to go back to your previous ROM.

Had the same problem. Use Advance Configuration Tool to remap soft keys correctly (download here. (http://www.cinetsystems.com/xda/Kaiser%20Cab%20Collections/AdvancedConfig_v1.0.CAB))
Feedback on the ROM:
Speed is absolutely fantastic, the 20MEG pagepool has spoken!;-) After my first flash, QMenu seemed somewhat inconsistent (wouldn't always work) and WkTask messed up the cube (wouldn't work anymore). Syncing would not follow-through either (Vista PC).
However, I hard-reset after playing around a bit, and now things are working just lovely with all softwares installed...weird but true...
Verdict: Great ROM, lightning-fast and the new dial pad is great, too! (especially like the call logs)
Did this make any sense? lol, 4am...time for sleep.
Thanks Dutty!

Hey Guys,
Just upgraded from 1.0 to 1.1 on my ATT Tilt. First, my hat off to Dutty for a lightning fast ROM. Now for the things ive noticed:
1. WIFI is not connecting. It finds the networks, no problem. Then when i press connect it keeps trying to connect, then pops up the box saying could not connect. Then the hotspots come up again. Any ideas please?! Trying a hard reset right now.
2. Opera Mobile is vesion 8.65 preinstalled. I noticed that there are different icons from the one i downloaded from operas site for the home and goto button. Also when downloading things in the version on the rom, it doenst show how many KB completed. In the opera version (8.65) off their site, it did.
3. Thank you for WMP!!! ITs the only thing that can stream!!! for me at least.
THANKS AGAIN!.

I must be an idiot.
Hello. Before flashing I was able to connect to data using 3G. IE worked fine and I could browse all web pages quickly.
Now after flashing, IE doesn't seem to work. Using that I keep getting a message from AT&T about that it will cost 1 penny per kb, and that I will never see this message again. Then it just goes back to that message.
But Opera seems to work fine. The pages seem to connect slower than before however. And I tried to download maps from windows live, but that application couldn't connect either.
I am guessing that some of the connection settings are not what they were before. Any help with this would be great!

Really eager to upgrade from 7b to the DualTouch ROM, particularly if the cube is better and the 20MB PagePool makes a difference.
However,
1) IS there a solution to the problems people have with the hardware keyboard? I use it a lot - would have a Touch if I didn't want the keyboard!
2) Are the 7b games cooked into this one too? I loved Tetris (597 lines so far, baby! :D) and ICBM.
Dutty, there was mention of a v2 coming after the v1.1. Is that still going to happen? If so, when, and what will you tweak to make it worth waiting for? ;)
Happy Holidays, all - be safe! Don't drink and drive... or text and drive!

Okay, I'm using V1.1.
I can't get my MMS to work. I have a Tilt, am on AT&T and in the US. Are there any settings I should look at?
Finally, I would like to see the TO: field get populated in emails and SMS. Is there a workaround?
If not, what can I flash (back) to to have MMS and a TO field that populates? 7b final?
Thanks.

I'm on 7b final. MMS's seem to work fine, and the TO field autopopulates in e-mails. However, TO doesn't seem to autopopulate in TXT and MMS messages.

I switch back from 1.27.12.17 to 1.27.12.32. I think for me that .32 give me better battery life. I have noticed that when I travel up to the foothills a lot I have better reception with .32. Call quality is about the same for both radios. .17 might connect a little faster than .32 but that's about it. Honestly I would test them both out for a couple of days and figure out which one works best for you.
Oh one more thing to note...I think radio 1.27.12.32 makes the camera work a little better.

Sorry didn't flash the original 20Mb PP ROM so can't compare. But 32Mb certainly flies.
Might try 64Mb but need to fix the MMS issue first. Hopefully it was a case of a bad flash otherwise it maybe the pagepool changer that might be affecting it.

It is never recommended to restore back up from a different ROM. It will most likely screw up the ROM as what you are going through. Suggest you flash a new ROM then install all the applications & configure it like new. This is the best way to making sure no conflict.

I'm still using 7b, but have this same problem. On that thread it was suggested I use Kaiser Tweak to reduce my vertical scroll bar to 10 pixels. I tried it and it did away with the problem. Yeap, that's the problem with it, also, the Mundu IM program doesn't work either, also requires the netcf 2.0. :(
it seems sirius wm5 doesn't work either :(
I have Sirius WM5 working on 7b which uses netcf 3.5 and sql 3.5. I had problems at first and posted request for help everywhere. Turned out I forgot to disable the AT&T proxy server. It works fine now. Although I have to use WMP instead of TCPMP. I see on HF that you use TCPMP, that or the proxy may be your problem. Admittedly I haven't set TCPMP's file associations either. Anyway, Good Luck.

if you go in the settings of Sirius WM5, set it to use tcpmp on the storage card, then on your storage card create folders: Program Files\TCPMP and copy player.exe located in your windows directory to the tcpmp folder. This will launch tcpmp instead of WMP

if you go in the settings of Sirius WM5, set it to use tcpmp on the storage card, then on your storage card create folders: Program Files\TCPMP and copy player.exe located in your windows directory to the tcpmp folder. This will launch tcpmp instead of WMP
TCPMP is cooked into v7b. This is the first ROM I've used with it cooked in. Everything is working perfectly as is, so I don't want to mess with any of the settings. I will just deal with WMP until I flash a new ROM that needs tweaking. But the rate at which Dutty is going, that may be a while. He seems to be getting his ROM's perfected. Think I'm going to skip this dual touch rom as I don't like the cube and I mainly use the hardware keyboard. I'm sure Dutty will blow me away with his next ROM.

So what do you think is the best safeguard pagepool you seew ith noticeable speed is it 32
After trying most of the pagepool sizes, I would conclude that the 20mb is the threshold, no speed increase will be noticed beyond it, or maybe needs a gauge like spb benchmark to measure it to find minute changes.

"The file 'HTCCalendar' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate , or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."
Anyone else having the same error or any advise on a fix?

ok, I have been playing with the new rom for like 8 hours... I did notice that after a soft reset, it takes a bit time to actually respond to my pressing, but once it does, it is fast...
I'm soo used of the Tilt Beta 2 version ROM that it was hard to get used of the little 'pull down' icon on right top screen, which I think it's a GREAT thing, but I'm just not use of it yet... :) Now gotta remember to go there a few times to 'stop' the program for running.
I've installed all my programs back, including trial games, and all, other than Mundu IM is not working and TrackMe yet to work, everything else is working so far (Sirius IS working with media player, but not with TCMCP - will make it work later foundout that I might need some codec).
As for Mundu.. it requires Net 2 so I've emailed them to see if they would give an upgrade to use 3.5. :) I like Mundu IM+ a lot so would love to have it on.
I did a quick test today while driving, using Windows LiveSearch's map and turning on gps, it was fast and it was fun (seeing where I'm heading).
Overall, I'm still playing and getting used of the rom, it's good, it seems fast, but I think like all Windows stuff, the more you run it, the faster it gets... *shrug*
next thing for me to do is adding the theme back and adding the slider program. :)
Thanks Dutty for another great ROM!

Thank you for the file. Some questions as i'm new to PP :o
1. How do you find out how much pagepool from the device itself?
2. Using PP V.2, just run PP program, select ROM file, select PP amount i want then click on change.....that simple? Then flash & restore?
Yep it's that simple. I don't know how to check the pagepool on a device itself. The best thing to do is like how you stated in step 2 to change the pagepool.

I havent had time to read all through the posts but I heard people are having problems with the hardware keyboard,
Can someone explain in details, Just come from work to lazy to read all through these posts.
I'm trying to sustain and develop the stabelest rom with all relevant tweaks including speed for the kaiser so If there is a problem I always try to experiment with different builds os. I will be experimenting with a build that some folks said that they got voip working on the front speaker and that was the only rom for kaiser that did it.
Also I will try to fix the 45% video call bug with Nadavi.
The landscape dialling I think will be the hardest or impossible to fix as this dialler wasnt intended for kaiser.
There is also a bug with video playing with camera recording, pretty sure its the build for some reason, will try to fix this as well.
htc cube v2 I will be experimenting when I have time to see if i can get this working or with the help from others.
Overall Im happy so far with this rom.
Most of some people questions regarding stuff not working, there are answers for most of them. I will try to re-collect and post them up for future roms for it to be easier.

I'll try to explain in detail, but it's not that detailed. Ha.
Basically, when using the hardware keyboard, there is some sort of lag when pressing the space bar. this results in the first letter of a new word being added to the previous word before a space is inserted.
if i try to type this: "hello man what are you doing?"
it ends up like this: "hellom anw hata rey oud oing?"
i'm on a tilt if that matters.
but great work, i was on no.6 for a while and the speed on this rom is awesome so i want to keep it, just trying to figure out the hardware keyboard.

Hi Ski, when would this happens for you? I just tested with SMS and Word document, typing something as fast as I can (damn spacebar feels like double pressing), and it's fine with me, this didn't happen. I'm using a Tilt as well. if you were talking about the hard keyboard (the qwerty keys in the Tilt, not the touchscreen one).. if you were talking something else, then ignore me. :P

Honestly I have not had a problem with this ROM on the problem that you state. I would suggest for you to re-flash the ROM and then before you do the device set up where it says " Tap the Screen to set up device" perform a hard reset. You can perform one by pressing the left and right soft key and pressing the reset button with your stylus on the bottom of your phone. See if this works for you. Hope this helps with your problem.

no calls problem here infact this has been the best answering and dialling of numbers since I got my htc tytn ii., the dialler is much quicker.
2. Your problem sounds like its either a radio issue or you have possible a sod issue which is unlikely as none of my roms so far have experience this to my knowledge

Will there be a non cube version because the cube has to be setup with contacts before you can see contacts on htc home but the problem is you have to re-enable the cube to modify contacts in htc home everytime you want to change them

I'm really liking this release - thanks a lot! It's the first one I've tried since I've had thi phone and the performance is so much better than in the stock ROM.
The only two problems I had was the much mentioned hardware keyboard problem with the spacebar and XT9 killing WM6's word completion with the hardware keyboard. I used the reg tweak posted on page 7 of this thread to disable XT9 (I think I'm going to have to move back to TouchPal for a decent finger-friendly SIP unless anyone can recommend something better?) and since then I've not had any problems at all with the hardware keyboard's spacebar.

No, it should be fully-cabable of direct push.
This ROM must have the 6-button Comm Manager. I believe that you can change this to an 8- or 10-button Comm Manager with no problems. I think the file is here, on Dutty's FTP: http://www.cinetsystems.com/xda/index.php?path=Kaiser+Cab+Collections/, called "CommManagerOnOffButtons.CAB"
After you install it, you can use Advance Config to add/remove any buttons you want.
I've gleaned all this from Dutty's ROM threads, but have never done it myself. If I'm mistaken, perhaps someone can correct me?

with the previous Tilt II Beta 6, it worked well, via speaker and bluetooth, both, when people call, it announces their names, or for calender reminders etc.
But with this version, somehow it was working once, but now it's not ;(
(just hard reset the phone, so trying it again) - Crossing fingers

Has anyone had a problem with active sync starting on its own on the new V1.1?
I openned task manager and traced the problem to a file "repllog.exe". task manager says something to the fact that it is set to run on time change.
Does anyone have a clue what this file is? I tried to delete it,( it is in the \WINDOWS directory), but can't, it's a rom file.

Yes, I noticed it too ! even with Dual Touch 1.0.
You press space c and it shows c space on the screen.
This is on a standard HTC TyTN II (not a Tilt).
I can pretty reproduce the problem every time.
Like I start a new email, open the keyboard start typing.
I wrote:
Hi this is the case it works. Yep problem happened again"
and I could read
Hi this is the case itw orks. Yep proble mhappened again"
I typed in word:
This is a try, this is a try
it wrote:
this isa try. this isa try
it seems to happen more often if you wait 2-3 seconds, then start typing. Don't even think I'm typing that fast
As was mentioned in previous posts, go to page 7 of this thread, and downlaod "disable_xt9.zip" which is posted there. Unzip it, connect your device to your computer, and run "start.bat".
This fixed the hard keyboard issue for me.
Hope this helps.

I am have a very similar experience. I am not a BIG user of it so it is only a minor annoyance to me, but something definitely different causing the behavior of MSVC to change.

speed response diffrence? did you lose any memory?
32 mb pp does seems fast but program memory seems to be cut.
i tried launching beeline gps fixer and route66 at the same time and i left with less than 50mb of program memory.
after much thoughts, i flash it back to 24mb pp. not much difference in speed with 32mb pp but program memory is sufficient to run more applications at the same time. (54-58mb left after launching 2 gps application)

So are the 7b games still on DualTouch 1.1?
Dutty - are you planning on a DualTouch 2? Everyone seems so happy with this one, but you mentioned testing a new cube...

Can you post a screen shot like this with your 24mb pp. This is with no applications open and just activesyn running and screen capture program.
Without the screen capture program I am getting 55.32 MB free Program Memory.

Same here. Very annoying... But great ROM nonetheless
Here is my bug list:
space comes after first letter of word
VoIP missing (and if installed, home screen switch doesn't enable it)
Problem with ActiveSync on Vista (since v1) -- it may be my setup, but it started occuring after the v1 load. I'll keep playing with it
But anyway, it's still a great improvement.

You're probaly trying to play something that WMplayer can't handle. Try TCPMP....its free.

I think for me that .32 radio works best with the camera and dutty's release. Honestly I would just try running both of them and see how you like them. I prefer myself to .32. It also depends on what country/region/state you are in.

Its comparable with any speed you set the pp to, I am afraid to say that pp stuff is a myth (the higher you go the more memory you give up for nothing) and the fastest ROM I have tested was Dutty's ROM that contained the Russian text (Hybird 3 or something) :)

Ok...wells looks like I will be Re-flashing. I might try your method of the 16mb pp. LOL here we go again with the re-flashing. My GF is starting to think I love my phone more than her.
Well here is an update. I noticed the difference from 16mb pp to a 32mb pp was that scrolling is slower with the 16. I haven't had a chance to really test out the camera but it seems to be a little slower as well. Everything else seems to be running pretty much up to par. I doing a little bit or researching today and most programs written for mobile phone rarely utilize a huge amount of pagepool. I think the real difference that you will see while using this is hardware on the phone. I am still going to do a little bit of testing but I would like to see some SPB benchmarking done to compare the 16mb pp to the 32mb pp. I wonder if there is a huge difference statistically. I haven't noticed any difference in the cube, seems to be running pretty much the same.

The one with the alphabet scroll on the right? I also noticed that the scroll option is only available when you open contacts, but not when you are adding contacts to a text or email. something to think about.
However, I'm still wondering if anyone has any of the cabs mentioned... Any help is appreciated.

You can search PPCPimBackup on this forum or google.. it should return you the right result.
Again, search for QuickMenu.. website is www.alensw.com but in chinese.
the scroll option with alphabet is htc program called random access if i'm not mistaken..

And after I clicked on the box of showing the battery (with the quick menu's option), then I lost the little right top corner options (the one that does a drop down and then since then, it never showed up.... :(
So, any way to get it back?
Also, what other Dutty's rom that will work well with voice command announcing?

You won't be able to change what the soft keys do without Advanced Config. The soft key changer that is cooked into the rom doesn't work if you try to set the buttons back to the default Calendar and Contacts. Other than that, I think it is safe to not use AC... anyone with me on this one?

Yeah, I think it might be the calendar app that is mapped into the softkey changer is wrong or something. It wants to go to HTC Calendar and that messes things up at least on the TILT.
