Before I go on just want to say thanks and credits to:

[U]Please Read Things to Know:

For best performance please do a Hard Reset after Flash [Proven and Tested]

This Rom has not got midlet manager so you need to install one before trying to run any midlet applications.

To activate cube please run Ftouchflo.config in System Tools and enable Ftouchflo in general tab. To de-activate the cube just do the reverse.

Run touchflo.config in System Tools and untick in general tab touchflo this will ask you to soft reset your device. after soft reset you can then re-align your screen. to activate cube again just enable ftouchflo in touchflo.config again.

Reason is there is a conflict with Ftouchflo running which stops the screen alignment configuring properly.

GPS QUICK FIX for quicker Results

RUN GPS TEST FIRST BEFORE PROGRAM E.G TOMTOM THEN RUN TOMTOM

How To Enable BBC CONNECT TO THIS ROM

Install instructions:

1) goto hklm>system>versions and change what ever is there to .0.4.2 (The leading . before the 0 needs to be there)
2) Install bbconnect cab file.
3) If you don't get the check boxes at the end of the install (Calendar, notes, etc). Re-run the install (it will remove the 1st instance), I always get it the second time.
4) Wait for Blackberry to finish "setting up device for first use" and let it reboot.
5) On reboot, status will now show the PIN number.
6) Open the Blackberry connect desktop application. (Make sure you have access to your corporate e-mail) If you do you will see "Configure Wireless Device" as active.
7) Plug in the Tilt and wait for Activsync to finish syncing and says "connected".
8) In the BB Connect desktop application hit the "Configure Wireless"
9) When finished unplug Tilt and soft reset.
10) You should be good to go at this point.

Permanent fix for enabling favourite people back in htc home thanks to [ponch]

here's the step by step to get the favorite people to stick:

1. Start > Programs > System Tools
2. Click on "FTouchFloConfig"
3. General Tab
4. Check the box "Enable FTouchFLO"
5. Click on "Done" (the left soft key)
6. Touch the screen at the very bottom with your index finger and drag it medium speed up to the top of the screen. Almost like you are wiping something off of the screen. Just drag from the bottom middle to the top middle. This should activate the CUBE.
7. Do the same drag Left to Right until you see the favorite people cube face. You'll know because of all the plus signs.
8. Add your people from the cube interface.
9. Exit the cube by dragging from the top of the screen to the bottom.
10. Go back into FTouchFloConfig and uncheck the box "Enable FTouchFLO" if you don't want the cube around anymore.

If you disable touchFlo for the cube, it will ask you to reset the device, FYI.

That should do it. At least it worked for me

If this is your first time flashing please read all the relevant treads pertaining flashing,hardspl,radio versions and yes you can flash this rom but if your at&t with the lates radi you will lose your sound, so you will have to flash one one of the radio only packages

I'm using the SupaLite ROM, and which doesn't have BT FTP_1_2_31241_1.

Also, is the "XT9 always on by default" "feature" still in this updated touch keypad ? It's pretty annoying for me, because it kicks in even if I'm using the normal stylus keyboard, when I'm writing a SMS. So I have to go all the way to the touch keypad and disable it to write normally again. And even if I do that, the next time I try to use the keyboard, XT9 will be on again.
Is it fixed? Can someone please provide a cab?

Also, are there any big differences in this updated audio manager? Like an equalizer? :)

Also (this is the last question I promise :) ), suppose I have two Kaisers, one with a ROM with comes with some apps and registry tweaks (like the one of this thread) and another with a supalite ROM with the same apps installed and with the same reg tweaks, which one will be faster?

gotta say u have done it again dutty, great work as usually, flash to my tilt with no problems, (had the change radio, keyboard but no biggy), when it first boot up had 3 popups saying program*name* fail to install, but doesn't same to affect it in anyway. so for i did a quick run though all the programs and they all open up fine. congrats dutty nice work again.

sounds like you have a tilt. use the tilty keyboard fix...found in the cab collections.

open the regeditor....

hkey_current_user>software>a_c>s2u2> and select direct draw. change value to 0. then run the Ilock program...and run it again. you should be good to go.

those bluetooth apps are not needed. just added goodies. i know the ftp does exactly that...think of where we download dutty roms from...but in the bluetooth world. the sap as something to do with audio quality when listning to music via bluetooth headset. not sure what the other one does.

the xt9 needs a little work. it works great on it own but im running into a little problem. When typing in the "to" feild of an email or text, it doesnt auto populate the name. even though the setting is checked under the keyboard settings still no luck. its also doing the same thing with the keyboard on the device itself. thoughts dutty?

i'd say lite rom will be faster. less on the device faster it runs....or so its said to be...

well yes and no - could have been a bad flash. that's been known to happen. however my image could have been bad or corrupted by my virus scanner and then reflashing the same image won't change a thing.

after having the device drop from 50 to 10 % in the matter of two and half hours with no activity....

redownloaded dutty's file, disabled virus scanner and am waiting for my tilt to charge sufficiently to flash.

I'll report on what happens.

I have some troubles with my hsdpa (it's not your rom) i have vodafone (netherlands) but i can't use any data connection anymore, i even tried the htc default rom. i see a 3g connection but when i connect to internet windows tells me that the modem on the other side disconnected. i know it's not vodafone because in my friends kaiser it works fine with my sim card.

i don't know what to do anymore (maybe you can tell me?)

a friend mentioned to try it, considered first as I didnt want to lose app 10mb ram space so I had to adjust few things, works great though

it did what it was supposed to do. xt9 is now disable. i didnt want that though. i wanted to be able to use both xt9 and regular auto complete. there has to be a way to have both of them working correctly togeather. i'll keep looking at it and report back if i find any thing.

I have another question though, is it possible to let the Email link in the cube to go to another email folder/account instead of the Outlook email folder ?

In my case the other email account is named Casema.

When using your 7 and this version ROM I keep getting a Voice Command error saying it is closing due to low memory. I go in and look and have 44% memory or more running. Any suggestions? Ignore sig I have an AT&T Tilt.

Hello. I have another problem. When i synchronized contacts with Exchange Server, not all contacts download to my Kaiser. In time i found out, that only favorites contacts with photos didnt synchronize to my Kaiser. Why?

Ok.. Installed the ROM, almost perfect very fast.

However no HTC Cyberon voice dial. I installed the cab (CyberionVoiceSD_for_WM6_v1.2_build_61226_1) however it doesn't work as the one when shipped by default in the ROM.

For a start when you press the button for dialing, you do not get the beep notifying you to speak.

Also, speed dial doesn't work over BT.

Why is it that with all Dutty's ROMs when the Cyberion voice dialler cam built-in it worked flawlessly, however when installed through a CAB it doesn't work in the same way?

What can I do to make Cyberion VD work properly? I use this feature all the time.

Install the following:
1.2 build 061206

followed by 1.2 build 070717

Then go and delete in the Startup menu either the link Voice Dial.lnk or Voice Dialer.lnk

I am flashing the ROM right now but I noticed that you are using a 16mb page pool. I as I recall your last release 7b had a 6mb page pool. Why did you decide to make it 16....just curious?
16MB pp size seems to be the perfect balance between pure sheer speed and a knock in Program memory of ~ 10MB! I now run all my ROMs at a default 16MB pp size. I've been testing a few ROMs (Schaps, Q-Mobile, Dutty's) over the past couple of days and they all just fly at this setting...

However as a result of this error the printing cabability of the software fails. I tried everyting else soft reset, hard reset, reinstall but nothing seem to be working. One thing that I noticed is that with all previous ROM at the end of the installation of the software a dialogue box would appear in the handheld which would indicated the successful completion, but in this ROM it does not. Becuase this is a wonderful ROM and I would love to keep it, is there a way to fix this issue?? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I have done a lots of roms and a lots of experimenting with registry changes in my roms, I will look into this for you voip users but it wil be after the holidays, also it will be hard to test as I dont use voip,

Thanks for the reply I will try the steps suggested by you and will let you know. The software came in a CD and I think there is no Cab file for it. First I have to install the Desktop version of it and then from there I have to install the handheld version. I am note really not sure whether the app depends on Java.

I've hard reseted...flashed again...hard rested...and still can't get it work work. Just comes up with a black screen everytime I try and manipulate the settings.

v0.86 works flawlessly.

I used to actually live in the Land park area..over on 24th street. Good reception over there the other day. I was using 1.27.12.17 but I just made a switch back to 1.27.12.32 Usually got better reception for me when I went up the hill.

Problem: By just clicking button 6, I get the message: "Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename.

looking into the buttons selection I can still select "voice commander, but at the left, there is no icon. (was this prog not part of your rom ?)

2 Quick questions:

1) How do we get v6's righteous "working" icon back? The stock windows-colored one is rather lame, IMO; and
2) I sure hate to ask this, but I'll be damned if I can find it. How do I get the AT&T layout keyboard? I know that Schaps' Adv. Config. tool used to do it, but it's not here and in newer version of AC, it wouldn't fix it.

I know about the direct draw issue and I fixed that very easily. Sometimes when the backlight turns off the S2U2 will not be enabled. I check the settings and everything seems to be fine but still I get nothing. I do a soft reset and everything is back to normal. Then after using IE or another program it goes back to the same thing...I don't get it.

That feature I don't use and it figures me not seeing that problem (it has to do with navigation programs blocked by S2U2 when screen dims, that's why I always disable that function) maybe the developer needs to be notified :)

Two things I have noticed with this rom: I have the battery meter at the bottom of the today screen...it reads 58%...yet the battery meter at the top task bar shows full. Also...in the keypad screen...if I hit the call list button...a white bar shows up at the top of the screen. I know that the fix is on the wktask options ...but this rom doesn't have it....or am I missing something? Is there a fix for both?

I've tried many times to extract the Dutty's DualTouch v1 Rom.zip file and get an error message when it gets to the nbh file "0x80004005" the password is correct, the error happens after the first file extracts. RUU file extracts ok. Can anyone post this file in RAR?

I flashed my tilt with DualTouch today, good work :-). However I cannot get my blackberry connect to work. I followed the instructions to change th registry setting. Then i downloaded bbconnect.cab from htc's site, everything installed fine. I then when to get my email setup but the button was grayed out. So I followed the recommendations of HTC, and pressed suspend and resume to try and get it to reconnect, but that failed. When I press resume, it attempts to make a new connection, you can see the icon at the top going back and forth. It successfully makes the connect, and says connection available in the blackberry app, and then data tunnel available. It even says Blackberry Edge in the connection. Then instantly it disconnects, you see the icon change back to the default bars with no E. This prevents me from pressing email setup, as the HTC directions specify.

Any help would be appreciated. THANKS!

(and yes I do have the blackberry connect plan, and it worked fine before flashing :-(.)

Make sure in the registry change to AKU there is a period "." in the first position. So it should be ".0.4.2". If that is not the case you need change it, then uninstall and re-install bbconnect. Also I am assuming that you downloaded from the HTC America site for the tilt, because that version is tied to AKU .0.4.2 any newer version in the forums are tied to a different AKU.

I havent started v2 but I will change it to v.1.1 so I can start tracking this rom.

I have thought about some changes hope you guys will like in v.1.1

1. Remove internet explorer
2. make opera 8.65 default in the rom [extracted from my x7500] this will take some time as this will be the ultimate browser.
3. thought about opera mini but this will be a long process implementing in the rom.
4. clean up some more stuff in the rom
5.. will release two version one with WMP and with tcpmp player
6. change left softkey to htc action screen as this is a great shortcut key to all pim associated programs.
7. change right soft key to endkey this will enable you to easy acees for data disconnection and others.
8. all soft keys can be easily maintained by softkey changer in system.

I will start work on this tomorrow if all goes well.

v1 rom is very stable and fast and I have been running it for few days now with great program memory.

If you have no need for the update in post 183 you can just install apps,

I was like :eek: when I read no. 1 but then you said you would make opera default, and I was like :cool:
About the left soft key changed to action screen, it is awesome, I've been using it that way for some time, because I don't like how the quicklauncher looks like :D
Right softkey must be contacts though.. :)

About the v2 cube I supposed that's gonna take a little longer right?

I like this dual touch rom, in spite of never have used it, due to lack of time. Is the MMS software working properly? I installed the Arcsoft MMS in your supalite rom, but I can't figure out how to configure/use it.

1. lol thats a bold one right there....its worth a try..but i really like the way you have youtube and other site working right from IE with that video site links. if ya can get that to work with IE than by all means. But ya might need to cab up IE....few people may still need it.

3. i know i know i know....lol but maybe ya shouldn't do this. not sure everyone is willing to deal with the 2 sec delay when the script runs to cut and paste. plus you have to find a version of java that doesnt ask for permission to connect to the web everytime you launch it. let me know if you need me to find a good one.

5. tcmp needs some work, it doesnt work with wav files...i need it to work with wav files because i use call wave for my voicemails...and the attachment in the emails are wav.



are you willing to try out a hybrid with this rom and att drivers and radio?

How about a TILT variant itself? Without the video call in the dialer? My preference is also for the green of the htc screen.

Other than that, the rom is... quite good so far, need more testing time to see if I like it for extended use (got the week off work, so plenty of geek time)

unzip all files into folder. make sure device is conected to active sync or mdc...then run star file. soft reset device after that.

Is anyone else having trouble extracting the zip? I've used the pass dutty but I've been unable to extract it using winzip and winrar. I know I'm not typing it in wrong because I even copy/pasted the password from dutty's second post in this thread.

I know atleast one other person had this problem but the only solution I saw was possibly typing the pass in wrong. Has anyone else had this problem and figured out what was wrong?

I once had something similar when trying to log into my gmail account abroad. Despite typing the password correctly it kept on refusing it. All I could imagine is that it was the language settings that were at fault, some letters that may appear the same on screen having different char codes. Are you using English (US) or (UK) or some other local language setting?

I'm using English (US) language settings. I just realized another thing, I downloaded one of dutty's old rom packages and that one is saying its corrupt when I try to extract it so I'm about to try another PC to see if that won't solve it, we'll see.

UPDATE: Using a different browser(fire fox) and a different PC worked and extracted fine.

I noticed this ROM doesn't have the nice looking 3G icons like the other ROM releases have.

When you do a long tap in the File Exporer it automatically opens another File Explorer with different menus, different column etc..
Is there a way to disable this ? I find that the default File Explorer is easier and faster to use when it comes to just move file around.

this rom solved all but one of my issues from 7b....

jbed can not connect to the net... it acts like its going to but never does .
im using the .17 radio, ive played with the wap.cingular and isp.cingular settings but i just cant connect.

i really dig that utube and some other cool sites have easy links...oh oh oh and the new dialler is amazing in comparison to the one in 7b

This is a problem with xt9 for me i dont find it a problem Its quicker for me than normal keyboard if you get use to it.

You have to install pof's HardSPL before you can flash any cooked RO to your device else you'll have a very expensive brick on your hands...

I am downloading V1.1 now... FYI. I am using my Kaiser as my modem, which is using your V1 ROM.

Use my phone as a modem as well, and the following are my comments;

noticed that the connection is timed out after inactivity, is that a safety feature u have programmed?

ie i have the password feature timed in @30 minutes, is that initiating the connection to stop, or is it the fact that i left it connected when going to sleep and it was disconnected when i woke up..?

alos noticed sometimes SPB GPRS on today screen indicates connected but kb speed indicated 0, and when opening up IE no window shows up?
