HardSPL will not install - WHITE SCREEN: SOLVED (UPDATE 01. March 2008)

hello every body,
so i have a prophet "SPVM 600" that was out of order, i put the RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID rom
now it works but when i try to hardspl the phone i have a white screen
i tryed the tow tools JumpSPL1.93-KAIS and JumpSPL1.56-KAIS
and the Prophet Tools 2.8.3 make a white screen too
is there any way to do that ?

There is a generic Jump Spl in the Dev n Hacking forum. I think it works on the prophet. I can't post links cos im on opera mini, soz :)

Elan,

Kaiser unlocker is designed to "SIM" unlock you device, thats all. the locked "Radio" is a totally differant thing.
i've unlocked several Tilt's and TyTn's with it with no problems
search the forum again for "Kaiser unlocker" and redownload it... you might have a bad d/L.

Thanks for the reply. It's a good idea, and actually, I did download it again, thinking that that might be the problem. It didn't work the second time, either.

I assumed that because I could not complete step 2, then that was the reason I could not even get to step 3, which is the unlocker. Is there a way to SIM unlock the phone without going through step 2?

I did find that there is at least one more unlocking program on these forums, which I may try this evening if I am unable to resolve this particular problem.

Aftr the unplug and re-plug. Disable USB connections in AS and then run KaiserCustomRUU.exe

I just got my phone back from warranty repair and now I am getting the white screen when I try to put HardSPL back on it.

I've tried the method in step one of this thread but it isn't working. Neither 1.56 nor 1.93 work...it gets started but the ROM flash stops at 0% and goes into recovery.

Am I missing something?

I should add bootloader screen says SPL 1.93 already.

And the error code I get is 262.

For those who cannot install the HardSPL and don't wonna read this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=349476), here is the solution:

1a. download the 5 attached files
1b. pull out the battery, REMOVE SIM and SD CARDS !! and reinsert battery (this step *is* important)
1c. connect your PC to phone with a USB cable
2. copy JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe to your device and run it (make sure the USB cable is still connected). If you still get a white screen then reset your device and now try JumpSPL1.93-KAIS.exe
3. after a few seconds "USB" appears on the phone display
4. unplug and replug the usb cable
5. deselect "Allow USB connections" in Activesync connection settings
6. now flash hardSPL (run KaiserCustomRUU.exe from flash-hardSPL.zip on your PC)

Notes:
1. if when running a JumpSPL an error is shown try to application unlock your device first with SDA_ApplicationUnlock (you must run this on PC with an activesync connection via USB cable). If you still get errors you need to hard reset your device (power off, keep both left and right navigation keys pressed and power on)
2. With the JumpSPL you should *not* flash radio roms, OS roms or full roms. The JumpSPL is only needed to flash a HardSPL (or SPL)

did you remember to do this? also if jumspl1.56 doesn't work than try the other jumpspl. They work ... trust me this has been tried, tried, again many times and success has been achieved every single time. You are probably just missing something.

Ok 18 pages in and my arm started aching.
I have a vodaphone V1516 at boot it says

Its sim unlocked for some reason(are they by default??)
from XP.
ran the program exactly as the guide said.
4+ times.
however this is giving me a white screen straight away not a tri colour screen.
searched the forum and getting lots of different information(dont want to brick my phone)
one suggested removing my sim and sd card, this did not improve the situation.

For those of you getting the 262 Error (Update is stuck at 0% and then gives you an error), try this:

1. Copy the JumpSPL to your device itself, not the SD card.
2. Take out your SD card.
3. Run the JumpSPL from your Kaiser.
4. Wait for USB to appear at the tri-color screen.
5. Unplug and replug your USB cable.
6. Disable USB connections on your PC's active sync.
7. Run your update file.

I was messing around with the updater trying to revert back to the original SPL so I can send my phone back and it kept giving me an error. I was changing up the process different ways to see if I could update but it still didn't work for me. Then I tried running JumpSPL straight from my device with no SD card and it finally worked. Hope this helps.

Try the standard Kaiser SSPL (instead of Jump) :)

Hi I ran HardSPL and was stuck with whilte screen as noted.

Unfortunately before I found this thread. I tried to sort it first by doing a soft reset. Only to find SIM CARD MISSING when after WM booted. I next did hard reset from clear memory storage. No Joy.

Then I found this thread!

I followed all the instructions to the 'T' ... and flashSPL ran, after jumpSPL, unit restarted everything looked great, until...... "The SIM card is missing" AAggggh!

Obviously I afraid I messed up the radio ROM and that I now have a BRICK 1b.

Any help would be very greatfully appreciated!

BTW: When I ran the jumpSPL1 and got the tri color screen, "USB" and unplugged the usb. It same was for both v53 & v96 Nothing happened, nor would it turn off, so I did a soft reset, before running Flash_SPL, which seemed to run fine. Just no phone is a little brick if it is just just a wifi, bluetooth wm6 PDA.

Did you remove your SIM as part of the update? Just check it is inserted correctly (I put mine in backwards at 3am one and spent an hour panicing) and the contacts are clean :D

Other than that, I'm not sure, try another SIM.

Hard SPL does not do SIM unlock, it allows you to flash custom ROMs.

You are in the Kaiser thread, if you flash this Spl on your Hermes you will have a brick! PLEASE, do not flash this on your Hermes! Check the Hermes thread for an answer to your question! :)

I think I made a big mistake - I just downloaded Athine OS ME v.1.2. and run it from PC. After that evrything works except - no sound and camera is not working. I started reading all forums, and founded out that now my Kaiser got Radio version-1.27.12.11. I downloaded JumpSPL1.93-KAIS, run it as it was written, but still my PocketPC is not working. Please can anybody help me with advice. I will be very happy for any recommendation!

shouldn't that be 3.29??? then it races to 100% in 3 seconds restarts but does nothing.

The best bit is that my USB connection broke this morning while trying to fix the previous issue.

So I have a phone that I can apply the Orange ROM to again, but which won't boot as it isn't the original variant of the Orange branded software that shipped with the device, so it is back to the Tricolour screen every single time I turn it on.

Does anyone have an SSPL that will let me reload the HardSPL onto this from my flash card?

Short answer: That's fine, just ignore it.
Long answer: you are flashing an nbh file that contains a nb file (it can contain many nb files). The nb file has a version of 3.29.hard whereas the nbh file has a version of 1.0.00.00. This is just because when the nb file was put in the nbh file, the version on the nbh file was left as the default. The version info the RUU shows is from the NBH file.

I do not know if it is or not. I bought this phone on ebay with duttys rom installed on it and I want to put on Athines because I like it more. But they say that 3.56 is a better spl for it.

Sadly I can't use any of these methods as the USB connection doesn't work.
Phone stays stuck with the word Serial on the bottom regardless of which machine I use, or which OS so I can't use mtty :(.
Basically I need to us an NBH file that my phone will see as valid for the original Orange branded UK TYTN2.
I would be more than happy with the original WM6.0 image for Orange that shipped with the phone which I think is the only image that it will accept and boot from.
I can use the only Orange branded ROM that is available in the forums which flashes successfully but won't actually boot.
Failing that, if someone can get me a KAISDIAG.NBH with a soft or jump SPL that this phone will accept then I can put HardSPL back on it as the KAISIMG.NBH file, then I can use one of the image files I already have.

Update.

The Orange image that will flash (which is a WM6.1 image) can be booted as follows.
Take out the battery, leave it 10 seconds, plug in a charger - wait till the red light comes on (I assume that is a battery error warning), plug in the battery without detaching the charger and turn the phone on once the light changes from red to orange (charging).

It boots into the OS... :D

Seems to be fine (Can even be switched off and on) until the battery actually runs out of charge or gets removed, then it goes back to the stuck at tricolour screen fault until I run through the above process again.

Phone is usable again - albeit with an older branded image rather than the modified HTC latest edition I was using :(, hopefully anyone else with similar problems will be able to do the same thing.

Still annoyed with myself for not deleting the KAISDIAG.NBH before flashing my own rom back - would have still had a good rom and the HardSPL loaded.

At least I have my phone back online though.

If anyone can get an SSPL that will work with 3.27 from flash then I would love to hear from you.

I do not know if it is or not. I bought this phone on ebay with duttys rom installed on it and I want to put on Athines because I like it more. But they say that 3.56 is a better spl for it.

Wow this is werid. It still shows it has not updated when I try to update it but I just installed the old version of athines me instead of the G.S and it showed it did. So hey if it worked great. Thanks for working with me I am very grateful!

Well. I tried Ollipro's Kaiser unlocker but because I couldn't get past the "SPL 1.93" on the screen and thus proceed to further steps I've ended up here.

On the instructions I am to removed the SD card, SIM and Battery, then afterwards restart.

However.

1. If the SIM is not in then I cannot pass a dialler screen

2. If the SIM is IN but the SD card is not it will not fully load as cannot access some of the programs installed on the SD card.

I've got a Kaiser130. When I run the first step on Ollipro's Kaiser I get the tri-colour but I never see the USB until stage 2, by which time it will fail as it's not loaded the SPL software.

So I guess I'm pretty stuffed as I don't see how I can continue :( Suggestions?

Well. What a palava that was! I think I've got it unlocked now. The final step says it is but I don't have another network to try it with. It's taken me about 2h of faffing around to get here. Once I'd read the entire 63 page thread of the Kaiser Unlock as well as this 58 page thread here too....

Well. Anyway. Done. I hope. Now to get some SIMs to try. Once tested and works OK I guess I'll be abusing my PP acc to send cashmonies to Mr O :o

I'd try the 3.56 Hard SPL by cmonex in the sticky post. It has been patched to prevent you entering the bootloader unless you really have to (and it also fixes a problem with some bad flags that affect the USB).

Other than that, no idea, maybe a broken USB...

i cant get it to work at all, when i run jumpSPL1.93 or whatever version im trying to use, i dont get the USB up on my phones display.

1a. download the 5 attached files
1b. pull out the battery, REMOVE SIM and SD CARDS !! and reinsert battery (this step *is* important)
1c. connect your PC to phone with a USB cable
2. copy JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe to your device and run it (make sure the USB cable is still connected). If you still get a white screen then reset your device and now try JumpSPL1.93-KAIS.exe
3. after a few seconds "USB" appears on the phone display this is where i get stuck the usb message dont apear

Tried, does not work. Phone update gets stuck, progress never exceeds 0 %, error msg. from flash hard 262. When the phone restarts, old ROM is there.

I tried the different versions shown.
What does not work is to unplug the device when running the JUMPSPL and the Hard-flash and then reconnect it. Vista will report the connection to an unknown device and the hard flash utility will complain about not finding the device.

Solution?
In this forum I haven't found one - at least I didn't recognize a solution.

will cause the device to boot again with vodafone software. (softboot is done by pressing the hidden button on the bottom of the device next to the USB plug).

I would be pleased about a suggestion. Please spell out your solution because I am far from being a professional in this flashing theme.

Start the process again, and use a different Jump SPL version (different to the version that gave you a white screen).

That is something other than this.

I think your screen might be broke. Try using MyMobilier and see if you can see your screen with that.

You ROM radio and SPL need to match. Try a different Radio from the "Ultimate Radio thread".

Remove Battery, SIM and SD Card.
Replace Battery Only and re-try.

You might have to do the same thing again (or try upgrading via the SD card).

The Olipof SPL is based on a SPL that came with WM6.0, when using 6.1 ROMs with this Hard SPL some people noticed random freezes, which could be fixed by using SPL's that same with 6.1 ROMs so a load of WM6.1 Hard SPL's were made.

For those who cannot install the HardSPL and don't wonna read this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=349476), here is the solution:

Notes:
1. if when running a JumpSPL an error is shown try to application unlock your device first with SDA_ApplicationUnlock (you must run this on PC with an activesync connection via USB cable). If you still get errors you need to hard reset your device (power off, keep both left and right navigation keys pressed and power on)
2. With the JumpSPL you should *not* flash radio roms, OS roms or full roms. The JumpSPL is only needed to flash a HardSPL (or SPL)

i made a mistake while installing HardSPL,in fact i`ve skipped a whole step as i was trying to unlock with your Sim Unlocker.after starting the JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe on my MDA Vario 3 I`ve forgot to install HardSPL:( (yes,RTFM,but now the damage has been done).after that I`ve flashed with your modified ROM for unlocking and it stopped at 95%.The phone displays:

after wasting whole my office day on simple solution to update my TYTN II this is my final solution. Any1 who is facing this problem download the attachment and copy JumpSPL1.56-KAIS on ur device. Keep ur device connect to PC and run the copied application.
Once the tricolor screen appears copy the ROM u wished to upload in the folder and rename it with the name in the .txt file and run KaiserCustomRUU.exe and ur done.

The appilcation failed to load required components. If the .Net Compact Framework is installed on a storage card please ensure that this card is in place and launch the application again. If this fails a reinstallation of the .Net Compact Framework is recommended."
I did both the steps reinserted the memory card and restarted the phone and failing in this condition then I installed the .Net CF in Phone memory but still the result is same.

I tried running it from desktop but it was giving me error - The application failed to initialize properly. Click on OK to terminate the application .
so I though I might have to run it from phone.
But now I redownloaded KaiserUnlock.exe and when I am trying to run it from my XP desktop it is giving me the same error.
And when I am executing it from my Vista Laptop it is running perfectly so should I use it with my Vista Laptop.

Hi there,

I just bought a new TyTNII yesterday, tried to HardSPL using Kaiser Hard-SPL v1 but stuck at white screen. So I tried the steps suggested by jockyw2001. Running JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe, I got USB on the display. Everything seems fine until this step. But then, when I unplug the USB cable (ActiveSync grey), and replug again, I cannot establish Activesync anymore. Tried 5 times, same result. I am running Vista Ultimate.

Any help people?

Edit: Solution

1. After you run JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe, you will get the Rainbow screen on your device with "USB" appears on it
2. Unplug and replug. IMPORTANT: The activeSync will not establish. So what you need to do is to make sure the USB is connected. How? Open your PC/Laptop's Windows Device Manager. In Vista, you should find "Mobile Device" in the device list. In XP, if not mistaken, you should get something like "Windows Mobile". This shows that USB connection to your Kaiser is working (although ActiveSync not sync).
3. Run KaiserCustomRUU.exe from flash-hardSPL.zip on your PC, then follow instructions. Your Kaiser will reboot after this completed.
4. Just to make sure things are all okay, hold power+camera+reset and check the BootLoader screen, if successful you should see "SPL-1.0.OliPof" in the second line. Soft reset.


First and foremost thanks to everyone taking time to help us with this upgrade.

Your XP machine probably doesn't have the .Net framework on it.

Vista has it by default, so either use the vista machine, or install the .Net Framework : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=AB99342F-5D1A-413D-8319-81DA479AB0D7&displaylang=en

If you are using Vista, make sure you have the latest WMDC drivers installed.

What does it say in you bootloader at the moment? Still 1.93? If it does something must be going wrong in one of the steps, either the RUU is failing to flash (should report an error if so) or Jump SPL is not been used correctly.

Well even though the steps didn't say to run the Kaiserunlocker I did and somewhere along the line I think I "bricked" my phone I'm getting a black spotted screen even after I hard reset my phone. So it looks like I have to get a new phone. But anyways thanks for the helpful tips at least I was close.

I think your confusing the steps, as am I now :confused: :p.

mskip has a guide that covers all the steps to unlocking your phone and flashing ROMs.

Thanks Dave it worked I installed .Net Framework 3.5 on my XP machine and successfully unlocked my mobile.

It means that Hard SPL probably didn't install. Here, follow this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=433835) and see how you get on :).

This is the post of the day for me. After jacking around with my old Kaiser that was stuck on the V1 bootloader window, The Cmonex's HardSPL 3.29SD via SD trick finally got me off the TriColor bootloader screen.

for me is not working.
when I deselect "USB connections" in my Activesync, my Kaiser don't comunicate with my PC and when I execute HARDSPL.EXE I receive an error (PPC not connected).
How do I do?

I need to upgrade from SPL 3.29 to 3.34 but I'm using Windows 7.

Can I run it on Win 7 or should I use win xp?

Invalid Vendor ID will mean that your phone is carrier branded, you can get the ROM for your Vendor in WIKI (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Kaiser_ROMs) or flash Hard-SPL (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=433835) which will get past vendor check and also open up the world of custom ROMs.

Hard-SPL will not harm device but with anything is a risk

Best ROM is purely a personal opinion so read the ROM threads and flash test soon you will have what you wish as your ROM and probably flash more to better it ;)

Re: Hard-SPL click link i posted previous read & read again make sure you understand before starting and take it in small steps...

You can then flash any ROM be it a stock, a custom 6.1\6.5 the world is your oyster :)

I got his KAIS130 phoen from Netherland. It load with vodafone and i though if I put a vodafone UK sim it will work but now. Phone is locked.

I want to wipe it complete, to use any sim and also language in English.

How can I do this? I saw that I have to put JumpSPL1.56-KAIS on the phoen etc, but when I connect it to my windows 7 32bit machine the phone is not showing for me to put the file to reboot.

try with SIM-Unlock , you need to install drvupdate-x86.exe (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=14) in order for the device to be recognized

That's right, you should have flashed HardSPL first.

To resolve your issue try this:
- in activesync uncheck "allow USB connections"
- connect to your phone with MTTY
- press return twice until you see "Cmd>"
- type "boot"
- wait until the device restarts and exit MTTY
- if it enters the bootloader screen again try the previous 2 steps again
