Email problems??

Ive got a kaiser and a touch dual when i put my virgin uk payg sim in either it receives the mail from hotmail instantly but when i use my t-mobile uk (contract) sim it hardly ever receives new mail. both phones have the same settings apart from running the network connection wizrd when changing sim cards.

any clues on why this is
