I have a Hermes 100 (8525) I am in Technical Producitons as an engineer. I am constantly needing various testers and tools to do my job.

Is there any software that can use the mic on my phone as a SPL meter or spectrum analyzer? Maybe there's something I could plug into the usb mini and help me do this? Or bluetooth? IR? ideas?

builtin mic is usless for precise measurments.

There is a lot of soft for this... try Googling... ex.: http://classic.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=9071&associateid=302 but there are some free ones as well... It works fine with an external mic

There is a software called RTA that you can download from handango, the trial only works for a minute, then you have to restart it. I believe that youŽll need a real dbA/dBC to compare and calibrate your Pocket on first use.
