Help install ROM

hello.
i have a htc kaiser with portuguese rom, but i would like to put the original english version.. well i want to know if it´s possible to back up the portuguese rom to a file and install the english rom.. i have already downloaded the htc eng rom on ftp xda but it doesn´t install, a error of device id apeears on screen..

is there any help ?

onde vc conseguiu essa rom em português?
O meu Kaiser está em sueco... não entendo nada.
Queria saber como faço para mudar para português ou então pelo menos inglês.
