Hi All,

I am sure many of you have some tweaks for the Touch to make it a better phone. I prefare "Registry" tweaks, there is a little lag when you end call, like 3 seconds & i cant find the Tweak for it in the registry.

So if you have some tweaks you think they are usefull, please feel free to post them here.

Yeah... in milliseconds... 3000 = 3, 1000 =1... pretty neat!

It reduces that lag from 3000ms to 1000ms (or whatever value you type)

unfortunatly that key does not exsist in the registry, its avalaible on the Touch Dual, so anymore on that ?

Can we add that key ? Anymore usefull tweaks?

i have touch enhanced 256 MB version with English ROM and even I dont have this key.

Please help somebody. this 3 secs wait is damn annoying for me

Seems to be a very nice tweak for the Touch Dual.

Have the Touch Surface 1.31WWE on my Elf, but reg-key unfortunately also not avail in that rom.

We might ask very nicely to one of the great cooks on this forum...:)

So we must make a new folder inside the PHONE folder named PhoneExtendSetting. In that folder add a new regkey with the name EndCallTime and give that the value 1000. Is that correct ?

I tried it on the Touch and I don't see any difference. What delay are you exactly talking about, is it the time the Touch takes to get back from the Dialing screen to the Home screen? If so, it doesn't work on the 'normal' Touch.

ok, i have exported the file using Klimregedit. just import it on ur elf & it should work, i have the settings set to 0 "ZERO" not 1000.

Please rename the extension to .reg

I did not notice any change. probably i am not doing it the right way. Can you please paste a screenshot of the registry in the Registry editor.

I will help me duplicate it on my machine in a better way..

Havent tried it, sorry..
Was just answering on the space/no space question since I m very familiar with Regedit..

it did not work for me. Actually i guess there is a communication gap. On my phone when i click "End Call" the call ends the same moment. However my problem is that it takes 3 secs to highlight the "Talk" button again so that i can call again..

Any clue on this???

If 0000 is zero second and 1000 is 1 sec.
Than is 500 just an half second?

Has somebody tried 500?

I added the key, tested, and it has decreased the "hang up" or end call delay on my Touch/Elf, 256MB.

I did exact same buth mine shows like 0 (00000000) and not like yours 0 (0x00000000). Can you say how to show the x between the zero's ? As for now it did not work, so i hope that it will work after i have the x also. Thnx

The X only means the value is a Hexadecimal value..
But 0 is the same written in dec or hex so.. no difference..

Thanks guys - that tip worked fine on my UK Touch! I used PHM Reistry Editor and manually added the Reg. Key, and when I press the END CALL button, it returns to my "today" screen within a second! Nice one!

i think you have to create a new sub folder named PhoneExtendSetting...

and now.. is it possible to solve my problem :"there is a little lag when you ANSWER a call!!!" by the same way...:rolleyes:

Yeah because the registry tweak did not work here i always push the end call button 2 times, this will also bring you straight back to the today screen.

I have a HTC CDMA Touch. I had to create a key (registry) because it was empty.

I think it made my phone hang faster.

The reg edit did nothing for me. I created a new key on the phone key named correctly, created the dword on that key, named it correctly and set it to a few different values and nothing changed. I have plenty of experience with flashing, hacking and reg edits but it seems that this edit just doesnt work for some. But thanks a ton,,,,, pushing the end key twice works perfect.

This tweak is a bit weird, some times it works, sometimes not, i found out that with other roms its a lot faster then the original one, so im sticking with Shadow 1.1 for now.

The new kay has to be added to the PhoneExtendSetting directory, it was not there in my phone so I had to create it. Only thing I noticed when setting the endcall to 00000000 it does not end the call automatically when using the handsfree. Now I have set it to 00000001 and now it seems to end call a bit slower but it also does the auto call termination.
