What are the main differences between Polaris(Touch Cruise) and Trinity(P3600) or even P3600i (faster but only available in Australia I think)?
If Trinity is updated to WM6 , what about the GPS chip ?
The P3600 has everything I'm looking for except a good GPS...that is why I was ready to buy the P3600 i (Dopod CHT 9110)(boosted version with more memory (256Mb Flash Rom) and faster processor(500 MHz)+ updated ROM and WM6)
I suppose I could have relaced wm6 uk with a wm6 in french but even that was no so important.
So maybe I better wait a few days for the Polaris (Touch Cruise) announced here in Belgium ?(although 400 Mhz... I would have prefered a faster processor like the 500 MHz from the P3600i...

If GPS is in first priority for you, i have to inform you that GPS of Cruise is not the best in market. (A Sirf Star III chipset is far away better!) At least that's what the reviews from owners say!

idk but for gps i find the athena is the best. i put it by tomtom units and its very close and also around my area always has loads of satellites. i use it as a gps always.
edit: i hope polaris will be close to athena since the technology is there.

I just finished a nice road test of about 20-miles around my area. I installed the latest TomTom Navigator software (http://www.tomtom.com/products/product.php?ID=286&Category=2&Lid=4) on the Polaris and used a Garmin C550 and a Garmin 60Csx as comparisons. All three were pretty close to each other in time to locations, speed reading, and logic behind re-routing. For a hand-held device, I am quite happy with it getting me within feet of where I need to be.
Hope that helps -

I have owned the 3300, 3600 and now Polaris. The polaris is the best. More memory, seems snappier, GPS is great (With good software, I prefer iGo). My main beef with the 3600 was the screen is inset. I tend to use the thumb for navigation a lot and found it hard to navigate. This is probably a person preference.
My wife now has the 3300 and loves it. It is a slower, and has less memory, but lives up to its specifications in every way. Also, for some reason the design feels great in the hand.
I really like the Polaris. The flat screen makes it great for thumb driving the interface. I also like the dpad scroll wheel.
If I had one critisim, I wish it had more hardware buttons similar to the 3300. I like to wire my frequently used buttons for quick access. However, AE Button is a good solution. You can resign hardware buttons based on Single click, double click, triple click, and HOLD. So one button can respond in 4 ways.
