Did you install on main memory? And is your device english OS? Maybe you should install the "Enable Rapi" cab before instaling. Will try and let you know soon.

Having the same problem here, it ain't working.
Also when using the Kaiser.HTC.Home.v2.0.814.722-schen (6-tab htc home) it seems it's sharing the favorite contacts with the cube contacts. When I used this on my Touch (Elf) this was not the case.
Guess something has changed hehe :)

Testing some more option, and i have discovered, the HHC HOME CUSTOMIZER require software installed on memory, not on rom.
I have installed the 2.0 version of the Home plugin, italian language, and for second the HHC 1.05 BETA, and working, necessary revision of path.....bye:D

Works for me too ;)
Just follow the order the cabs are arranged in the unzipped folder. Do the soft reset after installing , and then continue with the HHCv10b5 cab My only problem with this is that my Device information details are all erased except ROM version

I am not sure if I am referring to the same issue your talking about in this thread yet my annoyance with HTC and this device is that when the rom loads there is a cab file that should be under the today settings theme called htc HTC_Blue_Today them I believe and yet mysteriously it is not where it should be. This excited me for Blue is my favorite color and I hate the Black HTC Home Theme. However, and this is the frustrating part it is not where you would think it to be, ie.e under themes in the today settings, yet under actual programs if you were to go to the remove programs setting. Not only that if you go into programs on the device it does not even show up. My question is 2 fold: Has anyone else even noticed this exists as an alternative theme and more to the point how do I get this to be my theme? I have tried everything yet nothing seems to work.

I believe that is the gray/black htc home screen because I accidentally removed it and my home screen was nowhere to be found. Had to install the latest home screen plugin which is actually better than the one that came with the Cruise.

Heres the Rapidshare for the Home Customizer as well:
http://rapidshare.com/files/59653267/HHCv10b5.zip
I dont think I'm going to try it... too many people have had problems and the guy who created it is not answering posts anymore.
He doesn't even answer posts on his website.

Did you install this without updated the home plug in? I just got my Cruise & would like just to load the customizer---I don't need the 6 tab plug in.

Not working on Cruise Italian Language... bye:mad:
It works...it works...
Here are the italian instruction (personally tested) to get it working:
1) scaricare dal sito http://www.pocketemu.com/download.html (tutti i file presenti)
a. sdkcerts.cab
b. HHCv10b5.CAB
c. HomePluginWM6.cab
d. Cert_SPCS.CAB
e. Kaiser.HTC.Home.v2.0.814.722-schen.cab
f. HHC-Appearances-20070915.zip (Contiene ulteriori temi)
g. NETCFv2.wm.armv4i.cab (il .net 2.0 è presente nella maggior parte dei palmari)
(NB: per l’installazione tutti file sono Zippati ma basta estrarli e copiarli sul PPC sono tutti .CAB)
2) Installare in sequenza (rispettare l’ordine) g. e. c. b. a. ci saranno alcuni riavvii
a. Un consiglio trasferite prima tutto sulla miniSD e poi iniziate ad installare i .CAB
3) Andare nella cartella HTC Home Customizer /FILES e sostituire tutte le cartelle con quelle estratte da f.
a. Tale cartella si trova nella directory dove è stata installata scheda di memoria o dispositivo
b. È possibile che non vi appaia più HTCHome NO PROBLEM
i. Entrate in Start/impostazioni/oggi/HTC home selezionate quello che volete far apparire poi
4) Entrare in Start/programmi troverete l’icona HHC cliccate e create i vostri temi

I had posted a question regarding an issue similar to this on the "Polaris Forum" (at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=361189)before I realised this thread was active.
Sorry, but any help would be appreciated.

I also have an issue regarding HHC, or to be specific with HTC HOME. After installing HTC HOME, the program which is neccesary to use HHC, my TC doesn't turn off anymore. The device only resets....
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=359032
Hopefully someone knows how to repair this....

Hello,
Sorry to reload this (old ?) post, but can't find any solution for my issue :
I installed the soft "HTC Home Plugin v2.1 (patched by N2A/Hermes brightness fix)" in order to have 6 panes on the Home (instead of 4). Went very well: http://www.pocketemu.com/download8.html
Then I installed the "HHC v1.0 final" found here: http://www.pocketemu.com/download4.html
Problem, the backlight button did not works any more (in spite of the specific installation "Hermes brightness fix") as well as the audio pane manager (hazardous behavior). I thus undertake whole uninstall... without any problem.
The only difficulty: my Home is from now completely in English.
Question: would you know how I can recover my preceding Home French (the original one, with the 4 panes)? I tried to re-install the HTC-PPC-Blue.cab (from my windows directory), but nothing happens (no back to the French Home).
Thank you for your assistance!

Try that:
Delete all HTCHome.dll and HTC Home related directories (check \Windows and check \Program Files). Then delete HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCHome keys. After that, softreset and install the original HTC Blue thing again.
Btw, your POLARIS is not a HERMES so installing HERMES SPECIFIC STUFF will most likely NOT WORK on a Polaris.

Thanks a lot schaggo... will try right now and give here the feedback.
By the way, another question about Hermes : I tried to re-install it (after unistall both HHC and Hermes), but got an error message during this re-install. Would you know why ? Do you think I could lately install the right rom (not the Hermes one but the TyTn one) ?
Thanks again for your time !

Ok then : when trying to delete the file "HTCHome.dll" from window directory, it says that it won't because it's in ROM memory :(
EDIT : I tried to rename it... working... all files renamed and file + folder deleted > unchecking "HTC Home" in the Today elements parameters > Soft reset > re-installing HTC-Home_PPC_Blue > soft reset > no change at all :(

Ok, everything is ok !!! :)
I forgot one smal file to delete in the windows directory !
Lot of thanks, you rock schaggo !!!
