Guys I,ve been reading the forum for the last 7 days straight, i,m going frikin blind here,
no matter what settings i change/try, cab files i download an install , I cannot get this MDA T Mobile of mine to work with ATT mms messages
Like I said its a T Mobil branded MDA , both CID AND SIM unlocked , and has my Cingular(now att) sim card in it , all works well except the frikin mms
Seriously has anyone got this combo to work , or should i just give it up?
cheers:confused:

Why dont you just flash a cingular rom on there to begin with. That will install all of the necessary cabs for your mms to work.

That was what I was thinking, I,ve been reading for about 2 weeks now , every flashing post I can find , so i dont ask stupid question, and brick the thing, getting a bit more comfortable with the thoughts of flasing it now.
Once I get the balls to do it, i,ll prob want to try a few WM6 Roms out
At the min , i,m just double checking I have all my apps that I reg use all collected so I dont have to hunt all over the forums again

I have used WST for find out for sure what I have, and according to it, its Def a G3 , CID and SIM unlocked , so if i,m not wrong.....
all I need to do is
Flash it with the T Mob 2.26 (Its Origional) to give it a clean basis
them reflash it with the Cingular rom?

Hey, I have the same phone only with 1.08. I'm having the same problem with MMS. If flashing a ATT/Cingular ROM fixes your problem please ost up or pm me. Where could I find a ATT/Cingular ROM?

Hey meyekulbayrd
I,ve just bought another unlocked second hand 8125 off ebay, so i can flash it and try out a few roms and things.
So if i brick it , i,ll not be to upset an i,ll have my own MDA in tact, I know its a kinda wuss way out but I just dont want to be left without my phone, i use it all the time with sms and tomtom nav.
I,ll be sure to post up my results, If it all goes well i may end up flashing the other one for the wife to replace her ipaq

I just bought a broken one a week ago and repaired it with a new screen two days ago. The same day I flashed it myself. Its really easy to do especially if its a g3. I didnt know much about the phones or roms untill I researched this site for a few hours. I spent a few hours on it and messed with different radio roms, and wm6 roms. My mms settings were a pain, but I got some good t-mobile auto configure cabs off this site. I reccomend just doing a cingular/at&t rom flash on your device and it should be a cake walk. That should make your mms and text settings correct. Try looking up some cab files for the settings and just transfer them to your phone if you decide not to flash it yet. I remember reading that there was a issue with this for some people and there was a fix for it somewhere.

run it and restart your phone. send a mms to your email and see what's up. like i said it it did it for me maybe it will help you out just the same. good luck on it either way.

Here are the settings for the stock AT&T 8125 rom from the AT&T site. You also have to have mediaNet setup correctly.

Thanks for that, but I already tried that 5 times, and have checked/reset/restarted numerious times without any success
I have discovered that my PIE will not work , while i,m on my wireless lan at home , but will on gprs connection
I have d/loaded opera to try and yes it will connect and display pages perfectly on both wifi and the gprs connections?
I am getting a valid ip address from the router, it is set on mixed mode b+g, and i have the reg hack for g installed on the mda
kinda makes me think something is broken in windows?

I got the flea bay 8125 the other day , it was advertised as unlocked , but off course it wasent , either SIM or CID unlocked , but no big deal
I followed this Great Tutorial

Major thanks to the Author, made unlocking so easy:D
Long and short of it is , I,ve flased the 8125 maybe 5 times in 2 days , to try different roms and every single time its been 100% fine
I found one rom , I think i,ll keep on the phone , Jaguar 4, even has a cab file to set the AT&T settings all up so MMS , works fine.
All in all , i,m very happy, and would like to Thank all you guys for all your fantastic work
Excellent Forum :D
