yes, but this is allowing you to change only save directory, but not to change browsing directory in touch cube

iam using this too, but its quite uncomfortable, not in-line with user friendly touch cube

Also a proud TC owner here. I've got the UK version, with the Dutch library enabled. I'm using the Touch Keypad with XT9, but when suggestions come up and I choose one of the above, a space is entered behind the word automaticly. How can I get rid of this space?

The option 'Add a space after word' is already disabled in the 'Word completion' tab. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if this is the right section to be posting this, but here goes:

I contacted SPB to ask why their superior 'smart scrolling' feature of Pocket Plus doesn't install on TouchFlo devices.

Here is the response:

"Dear Aleem, the "Smart Scrolling" feature doesn't work on devices with TouchFlo. The "Smart Scrolling" is automatically disabled while installation by design in order to avoid conflicts. However, you can activate Smart Scrolling using the registry hack.

Use 6 Tabs with htc home :

You need to edit your registry to get our music tab back,

HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCHome

Add new string,

Tabsetting = 1,2,3,4,5,6

You can change the order of the numbers to sort the tabs how you like

1 = Clock tab
2 = Favorite People tab
3 = Weather tab
4 = Launcher tab
5 = Music tab
6 = Profiles tab

refresh the htc home to get the tabs u can do it by unchecking the today contects and then checking it and it will refresh and
people who missed the favorites home tab delete this registry key :

HKLM\Software\OEM\MASD\Quickdial

delete it an drefresh thats alll and u will get all the 6 tabs !!

But my problem is, that after you push "Photogallery" in Touch Cube, its offering My Device/My documents/My pictures

"HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\Image" there is a "SaveFolder_0409", change the last number from 0409 na 0405. Then softreset and you will be able to browse (in the touch cube) pictures you made and are stored on storage card

First of all (as this is my first post) I'd like to thank all the admins for all the work they put into the tweaks and this site. It’s a Godsend.

I have a couple of questions :

Htc OneNote Fix.cab 1.5 KB - what does this fix? I have installed the cab with ON 2007, is this also needed?

I like to use the touch keypad but the suggestion dictionary is way too light in content for my vocabulary, does it use the standard MS dictionary for suggestions and can I purchase/download an extension to beef it up?

Where can we find a centralized description of all the files available here ?
For exemple, don't remember what "Vibrate" is supposed to do ..?

Perhaps add a small txt file into the zip or a listing and descriptive file... as a suggestion.

Been looking through the posts on this thread (and a few other threads) but can't seem to find the application that was on my Orbit I which was an enhanced "Close" menu.

From what I remember it had a "down arrow" in the top right hand corner and you could close applications via that way (rather than go into Settings-> memory or the O2 Close app).

Is there a proper name for this app? Does it even exist for the Orbit 2?

Did try using this ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=365112 ) which has just been released today, but doesn't appear to work on WM6.

Thanks for that, I am looking forward to have Portuguese t9 in my cruise. I got a problem at the moment though, after installing it, both the Touch Keypad and Keyboard are entering numbers when I click on the buttons, instead of letters. After uninstalling the t9 portuguese things went back to normal. I also noticed that Portuguese was not in the input\languages list. Did anyone have a similar problem?

Following also works for HTC Polaris.

Save your own .gif animation into your \windows directory, then use a reg-editor.
Go to : hklm\software\htc\startupanimation\GIFFile
then edit the string to \windows\filenameofanimation.gif

I've asked this question in other threads but no one seems to be able/willing to help. I'd appreciate any assistance.

The "Word Completion" option (in "Settings/Input") only seems to work in certain programs. Most notably, it does not work in Internet Explorer with any of the input methods (keyboard, block recognizer, etc.). Since a large part of my use is inputting search terms on Google or other sites, this is a particularly irritating problem.

Does anyone have a clue how to correct this? I know there must be at least one registry entry to fix this but I'm not smart enough to know which one(s).

However, it doesn't support the Cruise, at lest not that i know of..
I've tried many iphone lookalike and they all don't seem to work well on the cruise...they work on the touch but just not the cruise...pity....

What a pitty - it is not working on my XDA orbit 2 from o2. There is not such a key in the registry.

Also if I add such a key in the registry it is still not working. BTW: What type must be this new string? Just a string?

Same here! In my case it was the dutch cab but the rest is pretty much the same :(

I loaded the cube config first, and when I soft reset the cube wouldn't come up at all. I brushed my finger down and it closed it, but it was never there. Now I have the fourth side and I'm using touch settings. At the start of the reset the same thing happens, but I haven't had time to find logos and paths for what I want. My first attempt blacked out a whole button. I have it back with opera, but still the same IE logo.

I have duplicated my 2 Gb micro SD to a 8 Gb with micro SD-USB readers onto a PC, but when I restart, I get an error message stating that my Sim card is missing :confused:. And I dind't touch it at all !!!
I have listed all files onto original SD card (even hidden files ...)

Copy arial.ttf and tahoma.ttf fonts from your windows/fonts foldr of your pc to ppc windows/fonts folder. i have included mine with attachment below see if it works. Unzip fonts from attachment and copy these fonts to ppc Windos/Fonts folder and soft reset !! i have also made the cab file for u so u can also use that and see after soft reseting if the fonts are in windows/fonts folder or see if the commmanager fonts are changed

I've mentionned many of my pbs through this thread these days:
- Pb with USB detection for activesync
- no way to switch on bluetooth
- SIM card not recognized (only since yesterday, working in another GSM)
- Sound only on left side

I took great precaution with my device ... I though that some tweaks were the beginning of my pbs..

So after hard reset to make it clear, all my missfunctions still there ! :mad:

So I wonder if HTC maintenance service in france is efficient and rapid ! That is my concern now..

Copy arial.ttf and tahoma.ttf fonts from your windows/fonts foldr of your pc to ppc windows/fonts folder. i have included mine with attachment below see if it works. Unzip fonts from attachment and copy these fonts to ppc Windos/Fonts folder and soft reset !! i have also made the cab file for u so u can also use that and see after soft reseting if the fonts are in windows/fonts folder or see if the commmanager fonts are changed

Eh...the Xperia though branded Sony Ericsson....is also OEM and manufactured by HTC :)
So you might still end up with the HTC support issues unless SE takes over and does a better job....hehe...but yea, that phone looks tempting...

But wouldn't it be better to send it to service repair first, because as I am not so familiar with Rom upgrade, if I miss it I won't have any more Guarantee support (and it is not sure that the upgrade will solve hardware problem ..)

hi guys, would anyone give me a solution to my problem? since a few days i get very strange charset (seems like greek chars) on the screen of Comm Manager (see the attachment). Not on any other place in the system but there - very confusing!

Hi Mahmood, I installed this keyboard driver and the t9_hungarian.cab found in your RAR file, but I can see no changes after a soft reset. I am using Bepe's 6.1 Preview 0.55 and have these IMEs installed: Block recognizer, Keyboard, Letter recognizer, Touch keyboard, Touch Keypad. None of them lets me choose Hungarian T9 after the install.

All I see is that there are Hungarian (010e) specific values under "HKLM/T9 Input Method". However, no values added to HKLM\Software\Tegic\ET9\...

Do I have to do anything after install these packages? What is the exact name of the new IME? I have read your page @ http://tinyurl.com/2fj2ghand and you refer to "PhonePad" as the input method. I do not have that.

It insert to the photo's details the coordinates where the photo being taken, so you can see later where every photo was taken.
Of course you need to have the GPS working and to have a fix, before taking a photo.

Unfortunately you can't disble the default keyboard :rolleyes:
But you can set another as default with sipchange. Just search
for sipchange here in forum and you will find it. There you can set
your default keyboard which will be used every time you restart your
device.

3) tweak ( or similar ) to put the device into standby automatically when using ICS mantaining the connection active ( i.e. the HTC S730 goes everytime and automatically into standby when using ICS while cruise keep the display active with half brightness...and maybe some other unused part of the device too )

Hmm.. this is odd. seems polaris has some extra layer of material over the screen, like the piece that makes it flash with the sides of the device, so settings have to be even more sensitive then say on a kaiser.

Anyways, I am noticing that i have to press the screen even firmer to open the cube, compared to just lightly having to press things elsewhere on the system.

Is there a specific key that controls presssure for JUST the cube? I know there is PRessureThreshold. Mine is pretty high and it doesnt seem to matter what it's at, the cube still requires me to press down more firmly. I don't want to break my screen!

Also, when typign out an email wtih touch keyboard, when I press the buttons quickly the letters appear as they should, but the key does not always highlight a light grey,it only does if i press the button a little longer then I need to. This is on at least 2 roms, maybe even a third, the default rom too. but say if im typignin a webaddress, the keys highlight very quickly when I press them, but abc or xt9 in a mail or message, keys usually don't light up.

I liked hard keys because you got feedback for what you were pressing. i figured the key turning color was good enoughf or me,but i am not even getting that anymore so sometiems i dont think ive pressed the key!

Are there any more keys that control those settings. I saw animation keys for cube I think, don't really have to do with sensitivty i don't think though. I searched for a key called FingerPressure or something also, but I don't think that made a huge difference. will play around some more I guess..

I have made a CAB that will install short cut links to Phone pad links to Call history, incoming , outgoing and missed calls so for each of there is a short cut. Install it to main memory and then go to Start >>>>> Programs >>>>> Phone Pad Links and there u can see short cut links to :

1. CALLHISTORY_OUTGOING
2. CALLHISTORY_INCOMING
3. MISSED_CALLS
4. CALL_HISTORY

u can then add wisbar advance desktop or any other theme to go directly to the links u want its nice to have it for making themes !! like link to call history will take u to call history and link to outgoing calls will take u directly to outgoing calls ................

my camera button doesnt work. evrytime i press it the key lights come on but the application never opens. so i switched it to the voice command button and it opens but i switch the voice command to the camera button and it still doesnt work. what can i do????????

my problem may sound trivial, but it's really annoying me.
I'm right-handed - as I believe most ppl are :) - and when i'm holding the TC in my left hand, and stylus in my right, and tap the soft key to rotate screen, it always turns clockwise, which will make the landscape view from my point of handeling upside down. Is there a tweak to rotate the screen in the other direction, so it'll be facing me when I slightly tilt my hand, rather than having to turn the whole device around?!

Hi Mahmood,
my problem may sound trivial, but it's really annoying me.
I'm right-handed - as I believe most ppl are :) - and when i'm holding the TC in my left hand, and stylus in my right, and tap the soft key to rotate screen, it always turns clockwise, which will make the landscape view from my point of handeling upside down. Is there a tweak to rotate the screen in the other direction, so it'll be facing me when I slightly tilt my hand, rather than having to turn the whole device around?!

download the file below and install it it will have shortcuts to four rotation view and also u can add it to hard button u want it to be linked and the second one is standalone freeware that rotates the screen in 4 direction but everytime u must start the program to rotate it the first cab has the ability that the shortcut links do the job

Single glitch i found so far:
When I go to Inbox sms , Polaris is wating for smthing. I can not read sms. I just see threads. When i try to open sms it is empty. When I reply it says "incorrect adress sen anyway" i say yes and it goes.

I was puzzled by situation of nonavailability of setting mp3 ringtone on the sms up... So as a result - solution:
there is no registry fixings, just converting your mp3...
1. for SMS it should be *.wma in \Windows
1. for Alarm it should be *.wav in \Windows

For convertion I used "Easy CD-DA Extractor", and don't forget about that it should be MONO. I wonder but stereo doesn't goes.

I have now "*.mp3" on incoming SMS and morning alarm without any additional software and registry changes. Hopefully it's useful for you

You can configure it easily from your PC's Outlook (if you have synchronized your contacts) how you want your contacts to appear on your device.

Yes... changing "Enable" to 1 is the correct action to enable the GPS Photo. When you start the camera, don't expect something to have changed. You will see that only if you change the mode, eg, photo, video, MMS video, contact photo,...,GPS photo.

Use touchpal..it's verry easy to use and there are several language packs.
Just downloaded the normal version and going for the pro verry soon.
Didn't hearded of it over here..but found it on a other forum.

Hello guys again, since the installation and uninstallation of Photo Contacts the automatic profile stopped working on my Cruise. It doesn't change the profile with the start/end of a scheduled event automatically, but I have to click on the Automatic again which will then adjust the profile accordingly.

What I thought this would do is make activesync automatically close on the device when it disconnects from the pc. Which is what I was hoping for. But I follwed the instructions, extracted the file to the device, and it did nothing at all. So I'm almost 100% positive that part of the instruction is definately wrong. If anyone has a clue what this tweak actually does please let me know. Also if I am right about the desktop thing someone should update the listing on the first page of the thread.

Increase Touchflo sensitivity

- Change from default 2908 to 10892


Will it only recognize settings that end in certain numbers, or can it be any number?

if u want to change the defaukt image location for HTC album then u have to change the values of this registry key :

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations

u can see image, audio and video change them to where u want the htc album to open files !!

The easiest way is to use schaps advanced configuration tool 2.1 in there u can change all file locations from camera, chane DCIM to Storage Card/My documents/ My pictures

and in locations change the location of images , audio, video to storage card/ my documents

I'm not so sure 44 and 45 work. 44 locks up my IE (i think there's a corresponding needed tweak to make this work) and 45 just seems to not work. There's an option in Pocket Outlook to save attachments to the Sotrage Card. Thant works. But the mail itself is still stored in the Windows\Messaging folder.

installed the color cnn manager on mine (bepe .58 WWE no tom, 1.58.25.14 radio), phone and bluetooth works, WIFI won't switch in any way(can turn it on and off from the connections menu though), just the windows busy icon appearing for 5sec. any thoughts?

Try a soft reset before installing - that worked for me after I had the same problem you described.

Yep, sorry, my fault...

Not the TM, but the memory tab in Settings. There you will find runnung programs and there the comm will run and prevent the installation of the new
one. Preposter's suggestion also works, just be sure NOT to start the comm
manager app after softreset, before trying to install the new one.

I soved this problem:

before install Colored version of comm manager
I saved the key "DeviceName" (rename to "DeviceName2")
then install colored version
and rename key back to "DeviceName"

Mahmood, Thanks a lot. I installed both the cab. But after i set the animation, when i activated it and when i slide, the screen freeze for fe seconds. That is annoying. I tried uninstalling.. But that is not working..I think registry files needs to be modifed. Can you help

I find it annoying that if I want to increase the ringer volume it also increases the volume of the touch and key sounds. Is there any way to separate these?
Also the ringing volume when it is set to full is not quite loud enough, I would like to increase it further particularly as I work in a relatively noisy enviroment. I was able to hear my previous mobile phone when it rang at work.
Does anyone know if there are any tweaks for either of these problems or does anyone else have these issues?

4. LG KS20 Menu for HTC Polaris !
see the picture below its menu today plugin from LG KS20 its really nice when u use it with today screen and ht home. To install it u need three things :
1) Remove the bottom bar:
Place dciNoBar.exe in \windows\startup folder and run it. This will remove the bottom bar like in the pic.

2) Install Spacer2 Today Plugin this will make space for the LG menu to be placed at the bottom of the today bar.

3) Install LG_Today Buttons

4) Configue Spacer2 Plugin in \Settings\Today\Items, click on Spacer2 n click options. Adjust Spacer Hight accordingly.

I found in this thread somebody asked for solving a problem when dciNoBar just hides soft-keys, but instead of this makes an empty place under today plugins. I'd got the same trouble. This appears when using WisbarAdvance.
To make the LG plugin works fine with WisBar you don't need to install dciNoBar. Skip this step, instead of this just go to WisBar settings->Soft keys and set the checkbox "Hide softkeys" on.

I have modified SRS WOW HD driver installation to enable it while using bluetooth headphones as described on first page of this thread.
All necessary registry changes are already in the CAB.
Simply install CAB file and have fun.

Delete vibrate manually (where you installed it) you will then get an error message stating that you can not delete this file because it is used by another program after that you should be able to delete it, again manually hope this will help

Currently it opens the normal picture viewer. ... I would like to have the Mail access the HTC Photo viewer that allows easier working via Touch commands.
