For my herald, I wanted to upgrade it to TOUCH IT but it didn't work.

At first my herald was unlocked and on the reboot screen it said "HTC."

Now after installing the Official RUU from the instructions, it now shows up tmobile and it's not unlocked anymore..=[

Does anyone have the HTC unlocked rom for my herald like it was before?
I really need it back.

Thanks for your help!

You flashed the Tmobile wing's Official RUU not the HTC official RUU. Unfortunately, there's no way to unlock it unless you USPL and run the REAL HTC RUU. I'm not 100% if that would work, though.

But if he overwrote the SPL with the Tmobile SPL, it will be locked and he won't be able to flash it very easily.

so after installing this, will it also be unlocked too or no?

just wondering

Only if you can figure out a way to flash it... and you can't flash it if it's locked. You can try the USPL way, but it's dangerous. I would research first.

I said it wouldn't let you flash it... because your phone is now CID Locked.
Did you try using USPL? Or just running the RUU?

in that link, they talk about the USPL and flashing and said it was okay right?

they also said that JSPL would be better or something like that to flash...

all i need is the links to the program so that i can do it?

Anyone have any links to any of those two: USPL or JSPL?

Thanks

Does anyone know if flashing a valid SPL WHILE in USPL mode is safe? If it is, that'd be a great way to unlock these phones... if you can get your hands on a unlocked HTC RUU.
