Ftouchflo causes issues with initial alignment during welcome. Setup again after a soft reset.
Set up FTouchflo in Ftouchflo folder

Hard-SPL is for flashing with an RUU...

It solves the "wrong Model-id or else. You can falsh ANY ROM you wnat after that. But it might brick your device.

There are several threads about this. Please read before and then decide - or wait until os.nb for Aserg-way.

No offense, but that's kinda lazy. It's the FIRST post on one of the Herald sub forums. Verify that you have the right SPL before you start.

Just use USPL. Or if you have a SPL lower than 4.0.0.0 or whatever it is, then EXTRACT the os.nb yourself. ^_^

I have also the same problem of corruption ? I have this problem last week with an update of a TyTyn I. I solved this problem with an original ROM Before.

I tried this with Touch-IT 4.0, but I continue to have the same problem of corruption.

I tried also to work directly with HARD-SPL, but also the same problem.

In reality, I see now that my HARD-SPL flash fail. I always have a bad SPL Version.

But the problem is now, that I Cannot return to a good HARD-SPL to start the Update.

I have the SPL 4.17.0000.

In reality, I have copy from Touch-IT 2.2 and 3.0.3, and the original flash for WM6, but nothing about an old SPL and HARD-SPL don't work, with an error code:

Invalid Command. I will search on the board and on internet.

If you can help me to find fast, it's more great ;-).

I had some problems with one of my rom versions where NetCF v3.5 caused the following apps not to work correctly.

Dayznotes, Live Search, and some thing else but I forgot.

And you are correct, it makes the rom run much faster then the original NetCF v2.0

So for a little help: If someone wants to Hard-SPL correctly - pm me.

@ HTC ROM - allways try to flash without any modification of SPL. Try for example a RUU with different language e.g. german. And if you can flash on a brand HTC then you don´t need to change anything.


My sister has a HTC device and didn´t have to HARD-SPL - so give it a try without....

It has nothing to do with the Porting. But every provider has different wishes and securitys.

So try an OFFICIAL ROM first. Because in case of bricking you can allways come back to this.

Then start flashing around.....

version 4 and 4.2 do the same thing on my wing. my wing already has SPL 4.1, so, do i need to run hardspl still? and if so, how do i do it. every time i try, it fails too. same error i get with the touch install. i had a touch version installed that someone else cooked up a while back, but, when i tried to upgrade to his new version, it bricked the phone, and i had to go to bootloader mode, and install the original ruu, and since i havent been able to get the original one to re-install, the second version, yours, or even dutty's version. yours and dutty's just error out, and the other two just brick the phone every time.

My actionscreen works perfectly, I am using a Touch IT V3 rom but I dont think it should make a difference. Here are all my settings;

New Email

New Note

Is it me or is the Voice Speed Dial acting funny?
When I activate the speed dial button, it goes to the microphone screen, but it does not allow me to record or import an backed-up database file. I only get "there is no trained voice tag" :confused:

Now i have to go to menu and check name :(

Hi itje, I know you have said you are working on a ROM with touchflow and no cube, can I suggest you use aserg scrolling as you did with one of your previous ROMS?

I dont know if anyone else has the same issue but I struggle to use the HTC Touchflo to scroll, however using the aserg scroll works perfectly for me.

when it comes to scrolling, remember that you can change the sensibility of your touchscreen when alligning the screen, if you press hard, the touchflo will save that as a setting, that you need to press hard.
If you try to reallign your screen, try to be accurate, but press as "soft" as you can. Works for me :)
If not you can find asergs cab that increase the sesibility, that will help out if you have problem with using touchscroll.

And thats basicly what aserg has done in his touchflo, its based on same as I use, but he has increased sensibiliy.

But if this is an issue many have, I can increase sensibility of touchflo as default in next release.

Thanks for the quick response! Did as you said and realigned my screen, this time pressing softly. Now it is so much better!!!! Thank you.

The only other thing I have noticed (and this is going to sound crazy!) is that the scrolling direction is not always consistent. e.g. if I flick my finger from top to bottom, sometimes it will scroll upwards and other times it will scroll downwards. There seems to be no pattern to it and its driving me nuts as I never know which way it's about to scroll!

Do you mean that the MMS doesn't automatically fill in the contact name as you type it in? It's something to do with the version of Arcsoft the cooked used. I don't know since I haven't tried to flash this ROM.

When installing a program that automaticly puts an .ink to \windows\startmenue

i cannot select: start - settings or start-programs

nothing happens......

perhaps it is faulty to htc large menue.

but when i delete teh .ink from \windows\startmenue.

all is fine again.

well i own my herald for 2 days and yesterday evening i flash it with touchit4.0 (i dont have a time to cook my own yet by i will use my wizards oempacks finaly ;)
and today at 8am i disconnect the plug and start to listen music (a2dp, gsplayer) and after 40min i've got only 70% of battery... the phone died at 6pm.. its quite annoying..

ive looked at the registry and i think that battery life can be increased with changing some keys.

Had the same problem yesterday myself. After disabling and enabling Large StartMenu everything works fine.

But even though the os build is the same, it doesnt mean that the setup in the sys (os) folder is the same, there might be newer builds to apps included in the sys folder.

I just currently installed the new os Touch It v4.0 on my Herald/p4350 finally after a million tries. Great work by the way! Loving everything on it. I have a few problems

1. Whenever I try to connect to my computer via active sync it connects but stays on the connecting window with "retrieving settings." It is like it is in limbo. I can still excess some of the files through windows mobile device on the computer but not all of them. Cant excess storage card at all. Tried reset on phone a few times and restarted computer a few times as well. Same problem.

2. Any incoming calls are all silent even though my settings are set for ring or vibrate. Tried setting phone on vibrate. Phone goes though the motions of setting it up but reverts back to ring setting. I tried playing with setting still same thing. Silent incoming calls and messages. Like there is no audio.

when you can flash an official htc-rom in different languages - your device is unlocked.

so give it a try with flashing touchIT - or ITsBlack (new version)
and if it doesn´t work. flash the original rom back...

Thanks for your assistance and Great Job on the ROM!Not sure what causes this error, but did you tried a Hardreset (not Softreset). It might do the trick, but don't forget to make a backup of your vital data.

This is a glitch from my side
I removed standard ringtones and added some new, but I forgot to make them install.
There will come a major update to this rom within 2-3 days

I downloaded the rom and after aplying the hard spl i flashed my p4350 ,it started fine installed ok,but when i restarted the phone now it doent show anything except the green screen with ipl and spl and does nothing .I can go to the bootlodaer i have every possible way to bring my phone back but all in pain.Any suggestions.PLease help
