if you have done the hard spl you only need to run the ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3 or ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G4 depending on you device
having problems with getting 3 color screen with G3 devises reed this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353547

I recomand instaling some taskmanager like pbar or battery status
because the x and ok button only minimize the apps (by pressing and holding the Comm manager button you can close all runnng apps)

Problems conecting to ftp server try this
Finally I found a solution to this error.
Go to the first page, select this link "Direct link to coffie ftp folder" and the error to access ftp site appears. Now you go to the IE7 Page tab and select "open this ftp site in windows explorer". The windows explorer open now with the collection of all ROMs of our friend Gullum.

This workarround works from me.

There are some little error in the language file

Today -> Nuovo Menu -> Neovo ..... its "Nuovo" not "Neovo"
Today -> Start -> Impostazioni -> Network Wizard (text isn't)

- Found a simple solution for this.
- Just go to the windows folder.
- Copy HTCAlbum.exe.0409.mui to a random folder.
- Rename this file to HTCAlbum.exe.xxx.mui where xxx is you country code. For instance the NL looks like this HTCAlbum.exe.0413.mui
- Copy the renamed mui file to the windows folder.
- Now the text will correctly show op in the HTC Album app. It is still in english but at least it is something. Maybe it is possible to edit this file with a hex editor. Will try this soon.

I found some translation errors in the Swedish version, but it is not a big thing (i changed with regedit).

The camera button doesn't work from start, i get a error message "the file could not be found". I had to remap the button and it works now.

one question your battdrvr.dll is 36KB (touch x also) and the one in shadow TE is 33kb and battdrvr.dll of wm5 qtek rom is also 33kb ,does these make any difference in device working or device identification by softwares like cool camera or tcpmp player?

no it makes no differance because shadow has the prophet xip build into the os.nb and I don't know how to do that yet :( and I can't use the shadow os.nb to make these big storage because it only works for english version :( the provxml don't install with other languages for some reason I don't know

best thing is you get kitchen from cloudyfa or konard , and english is most needed so may be one higher rom in english again from you.

Hello, 2 days on coffie PTG rom, it´s amazing, but like someone said it looses memory. I don´t no if it´s some incompatibility with battery status, because the system tells me that I have 20mb free on ram and in the same time the battery status program says that I have only 5mb free. Problem solved with rebooting.

I´ve flashed the portuguese version of this room two nigths ago (thanks to gullum). It was the firs rom that i´ve tried in my prophet and i just love it. After that i tried two other new roms but i flashed the coffie rom again. For me, a newbie that doesn't understand to much of this things, this rom is just perfect because it´s written in my native language and has a lot of cool stufs.

i tried install a wm5 french version , a new harspl , and then re-upgrade, ma with this rom it doesn't boot.

ho installato la coffe italiana, ma il gingillo va nella schermata a 3 colori e da li non si skioda.
ho messo una versione francese wm5 e riprovato ma niente ....

As far as I know, in some of the the new wm6 roms mms is disabled...

The MMS app is included, the settings are in registry, there is a outlook folder called "SMS/MMS"...but maybe you are right and MMS is disabled somewhere...I try to figure that out :)

solved the "error 260" problem: it's an activesync 4.5 connection problem. i've installed activesync 4.2 and the problem is solved.

For gullum:
italian version have the mms bug too.
Except this, rom is simply perfect..

There will be something in the future?
The sdhc used for the test is a sandisk from 4gb that is not recognized.

i fixed the problem with mms switching from CoffieITA(has too much bugs with translated programs) to CoffieENG ROM. After that installed ArcsoftMMS4.2.8.1_Fixed that i found somewhere here..
Finally i run Network Wizard to setup configuration for MMS, GPRS, WAP, WEB...

As I mentioned, I think the bug should be fixable by playing a bit with registry settings...I tried to rip the arcsoft cab so that some reg settings and the creation of the MMS email account could be applied without installing the files. but unfortunatly it didn't work, the cab couldn't be installed.

A im facing a problem loding the launch music in today screen, the launcher of touch, doens work.. it syas "Load RC fail", anyone facing this problem?

Just finished with the ESN G4 Rom, to my Qtek S200, and everthing seems to be ok since there was a final window telling me "congratulations...", etc, but :eek: in the screen its 3 coloured band (red, green and blue, from top to bottom) and it says "IPL 2.15.001" and "SPL 2.20.001".

I have made a hard reset and nothing changes.

Any idea what I did wrong, and what should I do now to recover it?

Did you do hardFormatSPL first? I have a PTG version and SPL must be 2.G4.4PDA and IPL 2.10

I think it's a problem of Active Sync. You can allow the wi-fi connection in settings.

Ok,I give up trying to fix MMS problem. I managed to apply all regsettings from Arcsoft cab, but it didn't work at all.
Really hope you can fix it, gullum, you would make my day ;)

you can just use ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3.exe from any rom and if you don't have a G3 then you don't even need this file. you can also use the tools from the upgrade WM6 guide

After various hours of searching the i-net i finally was able to fix the MMS Bug. Now i have a full MMS compatible phone (sending and receiving works fine). I had to install various cab-files (arcsoftMMS in 2 versions, mms-enable and some other). But now i have the full menu (picture below). Only the Network Wizard did not work for me; i had to configure it manually (vodafoneGER).

Yesssss, works like a charm :) Good job! Maybe I try to delete some files that are already in the rom in order to give more free mem ;)

EDIT: Couldn't delete the big files (MMSForm.Dll and so on) because its another version...and found a little "bug" in this bugfix, the used mem isn't diplayed correctly (always "0407/0407 used" -> I use CoffieGER). But otherwise it works! Has anybody tried it with other languages?
Could this be done in a more memory saving way?
For me this is quiet a good solution, makes this rom really 99,9 % perfect :)

Just a short note: If somebody has the same wifi-problem as I do (wifi isn't activatable directly after SR, have to press button 2 times), you can use WifiInit from Cloudyfas roms (f.ex. Mysterious 1.0). Works great, just put the .lnk in startup (or whatever the folder is named in your language) and the .exe in \windows. restart. wifi works immediatly :)

Hello... I just tried to flash the rom in a QTEK A9100 (G4), but once the proccess was finished, I can't get my device boot properly. My device stops in the first screen, saying me the version of IPL SPL, an OS... I reflashed last TNT without problem. Any comments ? Anyone with the same problem ? Can anybody help me with this use ?

You have to select Russian manually in keypad properties. Unfortunately, you have to dig into properties anytime you need to enter a non-cyrillic word into your document.
i recommend you use Pocket CM keyboard. it can be set as the default keypad, too

You can flash a WM5 even after HardSPL and flash Touch X in the old way...but it is a good idea to transform the rom to a .nbf, I did it with Crystal V4 and I had 7 MB more mem after that :)

I'm happy it works for you :) The last type of keyboard appears when you're not in a textfield or textfield is of unknown type....this is completly normal, no problem :)

you may search this forum. you will find many usefull tips on how to install roms but this one is particularly simple.
1. download your language rom and uncompress it
2. connect your prophet to your pc using usb cable and activesync
3. run ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G4.exe or ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3.exe <- IMPORTANT: you must know if your prophet is a G3 or G4 version. Search the forum. You will find how to know it

Curiosity: Gullum, do you speak (read/write) all those languages? Man!

BUGs so far (15 minutes working on it, I'll mantain it for some days to test):
1. no wireless connection at comm manager (only bluetooth and phone). It's seems wireless card is not beeing installed (no cards are recognized when we choose start -> settings -> connections -> wifi icon.
2. comm manager doesn't looks like on the screenshot. it looks like an older one version); 3. on start (iniciar) -> settings (definições) -> connections (ligações): first icon has no text (network wizard)

already hard reseted it twice and problem persists. there is any tip on this (I only read this thread to page 12)

if you have done the hard spl you only need to run the ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3 or ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G4 depending on you device

I recoand instaling some taskmanager like pbar or battery status
because the x and ok button only minimize the apps (by pressing and holding the Comm manager button you can close all runnng apps)

I solved htc album, audio manager and mms problems as well as disconnecting word suggestion from touch keyboard on ms sip.

Only one anoyance remains....

when writing an sms the "To:" used to suggest the numbers as we wrote the name thus not needing to know the number in advance...

In this rom it doesn't do that... I have to access contacts and select the contact there.

I'm assuming the culprit to be the touch keyboard word sugestion even if I use a ms sip since I had this problem with touch keyboard on prophet touch VIII.

There must be some reg key or option in touch keyboard to get that function back...

anyone knows this?

I set a mail account weeks ago, with all the stuffs like pop etc etc,
It worked great for days, but now, It seems to be disappered, or better: I still have the notification of an incoming message, if I enter in the message screen ( the big one with SMS, Outlook and Create new account ) there is no trace of the account, but if I try to create it, the phone told me the an account with that name is still created and in use! I tried several softresets without success.... Maybe there is something to correct somewhere in the register??

I had the same problem too, after a soft reset the card restarts to work but after a while it stucks again, solved with :

i tried using that method with the file in the phone but i get always the message invalid update tool.

all the rom are coming from here, from xda.

- Found a simple solution for this.
- Just go to the windows folder.
- Copy HTCAlbum.exe.0409.mui to a random folder.
- Rename this file to HTCAlbum.exe.xxx.mui where xxx is you country code. For instance the NL looks like this HTCAlbum.exe.0413.mui
- Copy the renamed mui file to the windows folder.
- Now the text will correctly show op in the HTC Album app. It is still in english but at least it is something. Maybe it is possible to edit this file with a hex editor. Will try this soon.

I still get the squares on the places where the menu should be.

I don't think gullum will do that...and I don't think it would be so necessary. If you want WM6.1, get Shadow 2.0 or some flavour of it, but 6.1 is not that stable as it is said in the WM6.1 threads. So I'll stick with this beautiful, fast, stable and full functional rom ;)

There should any communicate from active sync when connecting device with white screen (comp only notice unknown device)? Should I first start ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G4.exe program, go to 2. screen and then start SPL.lnk on Prophet and connecting to computer?

In my opinion maybe it is faster, but if I spending hours on trying - I don't really think so...

I'd like to insert coffie rom plk - is it possible to do it in the old way?

First get the white screen using JumpSPL, without being connected to your PC
Second, connect to your PC
Third, make sure you use a G4 RUU, place the desired nk.nbf ROMfile in the same folder and run the RUU.

Hi Gollum. I've tried the portuguese rom, and besides some lacking of translation, there's a major problem: now I don't have wireless. In the Comm menu, there's only phone and bluetooth. The wireless icon is missing... Is there anything I can do to solve it?
And what about HTCAlbum.exe... The link in page 1 is dead. Besides, I don't know my country's code to rename the file. WHere can I find it?

Nevermind, I've found it: I couldn't find the Comm manager to activate the Wifi service. Now its all set! By the way, the cube and touchflo are really cool!

Well it's getting close to beta now I've been verry tight up with my work and I need to use my Prophet as my work phone so I can't flash so often and only have some few hours to cook during the weekends.
I also had some problems getting some of the apps to work with WM6.1 but it's looking good now and I only need the final touch

This is the first time i flashed my dopod818pro... everything was fine..i got it to worked right away.. everything works... but...
there is this little problem with my Camera.. when i try to go to settings.. (change the save location of picture taken to storage card) i cant see anything.. i have a blank screen.. i cant change anything.. is there anything i can do about it? i searched the forum.. but there is no relevant info. And another problem was the AudioManager, i cant get it to work. when i execute, it says "The file 'AudioManager' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."..

The HTC Album is not showing any text (FIX workaround) just download this HTCAlbum.exe.0409.rar (http://gullum.jason.msMulti_roms/HTCAlbum.exe.0409.rar)
unrar it to pc and rename HTCAlbum.exe.0409.mui to HTCAlbum.exe.0XXX.mui XXX is the number for your country or you might even translate it then just copy to windows folder of Prophet
If you translate it or find it in you language please upload it here for future multi roms and others use

Well, I heard about that, too, but I use WM6.1 (ShadoW 2.0 TE) about 1 week now and never had any problems with SMS, MMS, Emails or so...so this seems to be not necessary a problem for us all...

I solved htc album, audio manager and mms problems as well as disconnecting word suggestion from touch keyboard on ms sip.

Only one anoyance remains....

when writing an sms the "To:" used to suggest the numbers as we wrote the name thus not needing to know the number in advance...

In this rom it doesn't do that... I have to access contacts and select the contact there.

I'm assuming the culprit to be the touch keyboard word sugestion even if I use a ms sip since I had this problem with touch keyboard on prophet touch VIII.

There must be some reg key or option in touch keyboard to get that function back...

anyone knows this?

you'll just have to change the filenames from the files in the windows folder which are related to audiomanager.
they'll have 409 on the filename, just change it to the portuguese code(i think its 816 or 816(it's on the first page))
I think there are 2 files to change.. but i'm not shure anymore... i've done this a long time ago lolol (something like htcaudiomanager409.mui)

I have some dificult to repair audiomanager. So I had renaimed the files audiomanager.exe to audomanager0816.exe and audiomanager.ink to audiomanager0816.ink and the result didn't was expect.

You don't need to change those. There is an mui file (Probably called audiomanager409.mui) that must be renamed with the 409 replaced with your local code (portugal is 816) the audio manager it self (exes and lnks) should not need to be changed.

There wouldn't be any .ink files anyway (I don't think that extension is used in PPCs) so I think it's just the fact the "l" looks like a capital i in the PPC environment.

But the tip about rename the file "audiomanager409.mui" to probably "audiomanager816.mui", I can't see this file in the windows folder of the device, by the way, I see others for example "Backlight.exe.0816.mui".

So, Can someone share the file probably called "audiomanager409.mui"? My objective is rename that file with the portuguese code and put in windows folder.

After fallow the tips posted here, and some softresets after I decided reflash my device. For my surprise the missing file "AudioManager.exe.0816.mui" was locate in windows folder. So after that the problem of audiomanager was finnished.

I,m running Vista x64. Flashing from it is hard so i did the folowing.

Installed VMware Workstation v6.0.2 ACE Edition on my Vista x64 system(Virtual pc 2007 not work)

Installed Xp pro in Vmware. and active sync in it. And flashing went like a charm. Testing rom now

Ordered a new COMPLEET cover for my prophet and a new touch screen. on ebay receving it one of these days.

Works just fine no problems. 1 point of attention there is no Simmannager shortcut. So need to launch it from windows folder.

Installed Batterystatus on it for the Omap function
Installed TomTom + GroupSMS
