Orbit Internet Connection

My XDA orbit initially connects fine to my home wifi BT Broadband connection, but then slows right downand and virtually stops. Is this related to me installing WM6? It seems to have only happened since! I have a laptop that connects easily and doesn't seem to struggle with speed? I am using a BT Broadband Home Hub, which seemed to work properly with WM5, and I can't see any security settings that interfere, and am now at a loss to what the problem is! I realise it is probably one box that is ticked the wrong way! But I can't find it! Any help wouls be gratefully received. I have trawled the forum but cannot find anyone with this specific problem. i got the same problem, what i did was goto comm manager, select settings -> wireless LAN ->power mode -> set slider to best performance.

the only thing is it will use up more battery when using the internet.
