After this problem (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=354848) with Jeff, I think it will be necessary to back up you CID and GSM data using itutils tool I'll attach them with the BAT file for back up and restore
You have nothing to lose except 320 kb in your hard disk, cause these data only can be found on your phone, if you lost then they can't be restored by flashing the original ROM.
Backup.bat you will have 2 file (cid.bin, gsm.bin) save them in your hard disk, you don’t know, you will need them someday
Restore.bat for restoring them
off course connect ActiveSync first, u can connect via blutooth wifi infrered or usb
I have nothing to gain except your phone for yourself

My prophet is g4 with korand 2.4 ROM.

hi,

is this problem happen while applying the hardspl patch or can this happen while flashing a new rom with RUU after hardspl patch ???

i already done the hardSPL and i need it only to do it only once , right?
am i out of danger now?

just backup your data you have nothing to lose

this happned to Jeff do to high voltage, and it can be happened anytime, even if you already hard SPL

if you have 320kb free space, why you don;t do it?

Hi,my device is G4(Via Hard SPL),i click the backup.bat but i did not get gsm.bin and cid.bin.

I flash other ROM.Now i can backup it.Thx.

Everytime I download the ZIp and try to use it I am informed it is corrupt - is this just me (2 seperate machines tried) ??

download the file, then change the extension from .zip to .rar

You can then access the files :)

OK, just run it, got a 16kb gsm.bin file, and a 256kb cid.bin file.

I had to run the backup.bat file TWICE, though.

(on a prophet g4, original - for now! - ROM)

thx chopin for the great tool once again, i read ur threads again and i found how the way to back up my prophet, my csd.bin is 256 Kb and my gsm.bin is 16 Kb and both of them now i save it on my HDD. ;)

anyway if a moderator change the file in the first post with this one, it was wrong code, that is why I wrote this one

got same error...

my wifi cannot establish after flashing babelut rom,try many rom but failed.change back to original rom also didnt help.now i've no wifi:D
so many days work on this problem...hope someone can make me clear how to solve this:) i use ARTE100...good tool Pal...thanks;)
