This rom is maximum approximated to official - clean and contain no additional soft and themes. Speed and stability. Native OEM part and drivers.

- OS 5.2.1938 (Build 18128.2.2.0) - the last official build from Kaiser
- 8Mb poolsize by default
- Office 6.1
- NetCF 3.5
- Big Storage
- Earphone speaker sound boost while calling
- Fixed camera (no artefacts while overclocking)
- Fixed IE slow scrolling
- Fixed sound scheme
- No certificates problem
- Chinese regional settings
- No MMS
- No Java
- HTC Scroll
- SMSDRFix started without running from start menu
- WM5torage 1.8
- Win RAR 3.71
- Cleartype enabled by default

Changes from version 2.4:

- Deleted ClearView PDF viewer with all fonts (no problems with fonts in Commanager and others)
- Deleted Microsoft Office One Note and Power Point - if you need them - install office from cab
- Deleted Cyberion Voice Speed Dial 1.1 Build 060220
- Deleted WinZIP and replaced with latest version of WinRAR
- Updated WM5torage to 1.8
- Patched A2DP (somebody gives me this patch and says that it's working good) - no tested because I didn't have Bluetooth device to test

Update instructions:

1. Download g4.zip attached if you have G4 device or download g3.zip attached if you have G3 device. Unpack it to some place on you PC. You will have 2 dirs inside: "jumpspl" and "update"
2. Copy 3 files from "jumpspl" dir to the root of your Prophet (near Windows folder)
3. Download and unpack nk.nbf to "update" folder on your PC

4. Disconnect your device form PC
5. Run "SPL.lnk" in the root of your device from File manager. You will see a white screen
6. Connect your device to PC with USB cable
7. Run "ROMUpdateUtility.exe" in "update" folder and follow all steps
8. You can see process indicator only on PC! Screen of your device will be white during all update process. When finished your device will reboot.
9. Make a Hard Reset
10. Enjoy :)

If you have Hard SPL installed - you can skip Soft SPL init when upgrading.

Hard Reset recommended after flashing!

Now you can select between Speed and free RAM amount :)

If you want to increase RAM - try to download Korand_cache_off_on (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=64301&stc=1&d=1199401520).

Korand_Cache_Off.cab disabling cache improvements and increasing free RAM. And Korand_Cache_On.cab returns all cache improvements.

After disabling cache you will have nearly 29Mb of free RAM with 8Mb poolsize.

Soft reset needed after installing the cab!

If you want to change poolsize - download "korand_wwe_1_change_pool_size.zip (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=60387&d=1196709949)". This is patched Paradis utils. Just connect your device to PC with Activesync and run .bat with needed poolsize.

1 : Try the attached quick menu ...
extract and copy Quick Menu folder in device memory
Run quick menu application.

2 : Yes you can install it but, we are still testing with this rom.
You can try searching the forums and try it by yourself.

Hi, you don't need to install anything for it. All korand's previous roms have incorporated an older but handsfree-activat-able version. Just pare your devices and then press the button of your handsfree. Good luck!

now i have another question after fumbling around with this super fast rom for quite some time:

in wm5 i used to change my text messaging location from main memory to storage card without any problems. now i am facing the problem that neither memmaid2 nor my manual approach can effectively change this setting. the registry key is set correctly and memmaid also creates the corresponding folders on my storage card. but whatever i do, all messages keep going to the original folder (windows\messaging).

is that a wm6 restriction or a bug of this self-made rom? the latter would be too sad since the rest of it is running pretty smooth, and i like it a lot already.

well, honestly, i have tried everthing i could imagine and followed your instrucions just to be on the safe side. but it just does not work. even funnier is the fact that windows keeps recreating the messaging folder in the root directory after deleting and soft reset. maybe it IS a new wm6 restriction?

yes, the whole thing is pretty impressive! so clean, so much storage and speed - windows folder opens in UNDER 3 SECONDS with loads of apps installed!!! and over the last hours not a single bug!!! :) brilliant work!!!

I haven't that bug . I install almost all the aplications in the SD and the icons remains after SR. Maybe you have problems reading the SD card, try reinserting the SD.

i have fumbled around a lot with my device being now able to trace the problem with these vanishing icons back to the radio. it happens with every rom, even with my official wm5. as soon as i switch of phone functionality, all icons in the pull down menu under "start" referring to the memory card are displayed correctly after soft reset. when i turn the phone back on, this shit starts all over again and all icons from sd card just turn into white boxes again... i tried radio rom 2.47.21 and 2.69.21 without any change.

does anybody have any clue???

If there is any chance V2.6 on going, removing "block Recognizer and Letter Recognizer" and all their related files/registries as done for V.1 might be a good idea^^"

Instead of flashing the rom directly you might like to give jumpspl a try. It ENLARGES available storage memory from 64.xM to 69.xM^^"
If you have painstakingly set the all system down, do not worry! Just flash again with jumpspl/hardspl and restore your system from a back-up file!

Pointui 1.01b has same problems with this ROM because don't build correcty the xml file in controlpanel directory. If you want use POINTUI follow the steps in this post:

Startup menu will recognize only the icons from Windows folder (not the programs but the icons). For example, Resco Explorer icon will disappear with every soft-reset, but SKTools icon will not (since during installation on the SD card, it writes some files to Windows folder too). To avoid this problem you can:
- Cook ROM with the software you need (harder way, but most effective, as I did it, and solved the problem)
- Use SK Shortcut Manager(shareware) to change the shortcuts in the Start Menu (choose program shortcut you want to change, then pick some of the .dll files files from Windows folder that have embedded shortcuts, and use them)
- Easiest way - after every soft-reset enter Settings, then Menus, and simply click OK, all the shortcuts that reffer to SD card installed programs will appear

mmm...to my knowledge (perhaps totally wrong), this problem is caused by the relatively slower accessing to SD card for the system during the boot process. This is why to run the auto-StartUp-folder-shortcut-application "tray launcher" that accesses data in SD solves the problem, for it accesses the data before the completion of the boot process.

As I know, Korand has set the related value for a quite loud volume. See here:>> [HKLM/Software/HTC/AudioGain] "EAC_GAIN_EMBEDDED" 79
Anyway, if you want your device even louder, try SRS WOW HD which is shared in this forum^^" Or, you might like to play with the values of EAC_GAIN_HEADSET and EAC_GAIN_CARKIT in the same directory above. (note: generally 77 is the value for a loud sound)

Is it common that after 2-3 days of use without reset/reboot, the available memory will drop to like 18-16MB?

But for this ROM, it's still respond pretty fast even if it dropped to 16MB RAM available. Great!!!

could it be that the integrated htc scroll interferes with spb pocket plus and its smart scrolling?

when installed, scrolling feels a bit weird. but unlike in wm5 (as also stated in the manual), there is no option in pocket plus to disable it. the only way is to reinstall it without smart scrolling selcted.

which i did. i was just curious. i suppose that smart scrolling will not be installed if htc scroll (or maybe any other scroll app) is detected on the device. just a guess though.

apart from the icon issue (which we have declared as microsoft relic) everthing is going fine. cannot detect any memory leak (i do a soft reset per day though) or wifi probs (which i don't use too often). but will keep an eye on it.

i have upgraded to korand 2.5 and i saw a few bugs.

1.) certificate problem still continue. i could run an application with shadow rom but when i want to run this application it gives error about certification or untrusted certificate with korand 2.5 rom.

2.) just i lived one time this problem. when i want to enter Settings all icons of applications was unvisible and i rebooted my device then everything was fine.

3.) wireless works but i installed wifiIO-0.5 program of slient services that could not open wireless from my home screen.

change your storage space... and your RAM in pda! :)
Ex. 4mb pool... is for the max ram... and 12mb pool is for the max of storage space... of course... if you have max ram you will have less space in your pda(storage space)

I can't confirm, I'm using this ROM from the very first moment it was released. I use WIFI very frequently on different network-locations and it didn't fail me one single time.
Did you install or altered some network related software or settings?

i already found the registry key. thanks anyway. and smart scrolling is not that vital to me.

tried a hard reset and can confirm that comm manager and wifi work flawlessly. so there must be some app interfering with it in my config. who knows...?... never mind. :)

That is the kind of situations that make good evaluation of a ROM impossible,
Wi-Fi, works for some users and don't work for others.
We must get a good way for ROM testing, a standart test.

I use exactly the same app's without any trouble. Along with SPB PocketPlus 4, Tomtom an PocketCM + keyboard. No troubles whatsoever.

I do install app's in phone-memory instead of on the SD-card.

a. Touch Commander,

b. Total Commander,

c. PIE to browse here with wifi connection (2 rooms far from router, less than 20% signal),

d. SQPC,

OK, this thing happened to me once. I don't know how does it happened but my guess is after plugged into the computer for charging and syncing (nothing selected for syncing though).

You don't have to soft reset it. Just go to Sound and Notification > Notification, play ringtone there and the sound should come back then. While playing the ringtone there, it doesn't have any sound output though. But after that, all sounds should resume.
It only happened once on me and I tried this method. It worked.

It is really fast, has low power consumption (which is most important to me) and looks stable so far.
Much better than TouchX which I had before! Well done!!

One thing I got though is something about the Wifi:
It got no support for WPA2 in my settings. My home network uses this method and so i need it urgently.
Is there any chance of installing it as a cab file or so?

In another thread Cloudyfa explained it is due to the original, native drivers that are used in these new ROM builds. They are taken from an official (WM5) Prophet ROM. He also announced that he might come with a solution in a next build, so keep your fingers crossed.....

Still got problems with wifi connection, although Odyssey http://www.juniper.net/products_and_services/aaa_and_802_1x/odyssey/at least offers WPA2, but WIFI sometimes doesn´t find any networks...

i once reported that wifi takes always two attempts to be started through comm manager after soft reset, but then it woks fine.

i thought it was gone after hard reset. but actually it only worked right after hard reset right away. but then after the next softreset - without any apps installed - the same phenomenon reoccurred repeatedly.

i do not really mind. but can it be the comm manager itself? or is it the driver? or some registry entry?

I have a problem here. I cannot connect to internet via PC thru USB cable. I went on to edit my proxy server. I untick "this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet" and kept the first "This network connects to the internet" then i press ok. I went in to double check but "This network connects to internet was "untick". I tick again then press ok but it untick itself. I don't have this problems with other ROMS. The problem keeps repeating. I cannot connect to internet currently. Im not sure how to setup "this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet" either. Im from singapore.

I have a problem here. I cannot connect to internet via PC thru USB cable. I went on to edit my proxy server. I untick "this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet" and kept the first "This network connects to the internet" then i press ok. I went in to double check but "This network connects to internet was "untick". I tick again then press ok but it untick itself. I don't have this problems with other ROMS. The problem keeps repeating. I cannot connect to internet currently. Im not sure how to setup "this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet" either. Im from singapore.
Do you think if i install this(below) would help, if yes, does anyone have the file....Pls help!!Pls need your guidence....:)

Just managed a slightly cleaner rom based on Korand's exellent V2.5

1. Base rom- Korand WWW V2.5

2. Added Items:
- Storage Chip (Storage Memory = 80+M -- 70.1M Storage Memory + 9.93M Storage Chip)
- Comm Manager in Programs folder (for user's convenience)

3. Deleted Items:
- SMSDRFix (can be updated anytime)
- Remote Disktop (can be updated anytime)
- HTC WifiTray (seems not working in Korand's rom at the first place; it seems to be the main part of wifi today-plugin which is not applearing for speed-driven users after all)
- HTC WifiInit (seems to be a wifi-iniciating app whose shortcut is always put into the ShartUp folder. So un-reliable is it that users usually have to punch the wifi button twice for working wifi, but it does take memory....htc....)
- HTC PowerTray (an ancient, obese 30.4KB "shortcut" for power in the setting pages....gee...htc.....)
- HTC KeyLock (an ancient and useless app, locking nothing. it might work for smartphone though)
- ModemLink (can be updated anytime)
- Internet Sharing (can be updated anytime)
- WM5Torage (can be updated anytime)
- two ringtones (can be added according to what you like)

4. Deleted Shortcuts in StartUp folder:
- CheckAutoRun (HTC's stuff which can be added manually after flash)
- poutlook (initiating "Contacts" and "Calendar" during the booting process. it can be added manually after flash as well)

generally speaking, the total program memory in the setting pages shows how many Ms the system's pps are:
48M = 8M, 50M = 6M, 52M = 4M, etc.

Ok, I'm totally confused. I ran through the entire process as described and it all works perfectly i.e. I get the white screen and then the ROM image gets applied to the phone. However, once the phone resets (I've tried both soft and hard resets) the ROM image does not take i.e. it still boots into WM5. Any ideas out there why the ROM image is not taking effect?

While I'm here, I'm also battling to figuring out whether my Jamin in a G3 or G4, my IPL: is 1.00 and my SPL is: 2.13.0000.

HTC Keylock.exe is an old app existing throughout wm2003, if not even earlier, to wm6...
The problem is I found it useless. Not a bit useful...^^"

probably because you have a G4 device. It's said that G3 gets 5M more or so for Storage Memory.
BTW, this is not case specific. Try other roms to see if it is true^^"

Good ROM. Similar an original WM6. GPRS connection works fine (I was with Crystal v5.1 and GPRS didn't work :().

I-mate: JAMin WM5 (original) -> Touch IX Gullum (didn't like) -> Crystal 5.1 (excellent but GPRS issue) -> Korand 2.5 (best until now)

Did you apply the nk.nbf file you can download from the first post? Seems to me that you forgot to put this file in the RUU folder. Remember that they are seperate links!

About the G3/4 thing, that's easy (try WIKI...) it's G3

I have tried reverting to the base 5.0 as suggested in another thread, running hard reset, drinking more coffee, smoking several cigs and poking myself in the eye with a sharp stick.
