srs wow xt should fail to work with some devices because of registry settings could be different. if you load this software then software made your device silent you must change some registry settings.

before loading the srs wow xt you must take note some registry settings of your device. run registry editor and go to those two keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\BtA2dpSnd keys.

Dll: ........... note this value
IClass: ...... note this value
Order: ....... note this value

you will take 6 different registry values from 2 different keys. then install the apllication. Reboot your device and run registry editor again.

system requriments are wm5 and wm6. try to install dont wory you could unistall when you want. it could work with your device.

sure you will hear difference of sound quality. but if you install this program and reboot your device and your device go silent then you must follow instructions of #4 post.

i found from airfagev forum and i added some registry entries that allows listen music with srs wow xt over stereo bluetooth (a2dp). i dont know why this program does not recognize your headset. may be you must change settings from speakers to headset manually.

Loaded the old version and I have noticed a real improvement in clarity of sound. It's also possible to tune the sound 'on the fly' which makes it easy to customize the sound to suit.

If your Phone doesnt work with SRS WOW via Blue Tooth Headset, you need to edit some Regkeys!

Here is a Copy about a Thread with the right issue:

That worked through BT headset it is necessary to copy all parameters from [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\Wave Dev] in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\BtA2dpSnd
Except for value of parameter "OldDriver", he should be such, as was "DLL"
For example:
Before
"DLL" = "bta2dp.dll"

After
"DLL" = "WOWHD_ARM_WCE_PPC2005_Driver.dll"

To have real stereo with your bluetooth stereo headphone you have to change the following registry key:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings
Change the UseJointStereo value 1 to 0.

The value 1 means dual mono, value 0 means stereo

Next point are the Blue Tooth Settings for Blue Tooth Audio Compressions, but i doesnt know in the moment all settings :->

With it you can change the Frequency from 44,1khz to 48khz, the compression rate and the stereo Mode. Joint Stereo is only a Mono Channel with additional Stereo Infos. This save bandwith!!! The most ppls think, the quality is higher ... but it isnt!! Dual Mono are better, if you make the bandwith for blue tooth higher.

srs wow xt must work without changing any registry value with wm5 on htc tornado. you must try attached cab file on first post. after reboot your device srs wow xt must work.

I don't think it sounded that "dull" before I did the install. Meaning, I think prior to the install I had a "happy medium" between SRS WOW being turned "on" or "off". Could this be?

I actually like the WOW effect for my Bose Quiet Comfort 2 headsets because they were a bit "bassy" before, but it appears too tinny on my portable athletic ear buds now and when I turn it off I think it is just dull and worse than it was before I ever did the install.

Again, just wondering if its "off" position is really just like it was before the install on a BlackJack II.

srs wow xt does not change equalizer values of windows media player. yes you are right about turning off srs wow xt makes qutieter than normal sound because of registry values still uses srs wow driver with your device sound driver. that means closing srs wow xt from menu does not mean disable of driver srs wow. i think using srs wow supporting headphones gives best result for music quality both bass and treeble sounds.

I am new to the site. I just downloaded the SRS WOW version 1.28.5.0 for my HTC shadow.
The sound is tingy.
I am able to adjust the On/OFF and the equalizer settings.

But under the SRS mode menu I am unable to change the headset size, it is gray out to small size

Samsung released the WM6.1 upgrade for the Blackjack II today. I have installed it and, just as before, the sound level is crap even at the highest volume level. I corrected this issue before on WM6.0 with SRS Wow. When I installed the same cab as I had installed on WM6.0 it crashes MS Voice Command (included in the WM6.1 upgrade) and no sounds at all. So I found this thread and discovered the WM6.1 cab. But I have installed that cab and the results are the same; crashes MS Voice Command (Error has occurred screen pops up) and no sounds coming from the phone. I have rebooted the phone a couple of times to no avail. The MS Voice Command version is 1.6.19208... Any ideas? Registry settings?

Just a precaution, if you install it on Samsung SGH-i780 it will damage both the sound and touchscreen drivers. Only a hard reset can fix the problem.

Hi all. Tried to install this on my Sprint HTC Touch but the only thing it does is make the phone lose all sound. Did the registry edits but that didn't work either. If anyone who has success on their touch can post their registry values for wavedev and bta2dpsnd that would be much appreciated. :)

ok got the settings working (just using the registry settings) and now the voice command for the bluetooth is not what the heck happened, I went and installed new version of voice command and still nothing.

Any other ideas?

stop using SRS wow, tried it for the first time .... encountered a lot of problems like not having a sound .... i panic and searched for a solution ... edited the registry and it worked .... but as soon as the device turns off backlight it wont turn on anymore, soft reset will be the only way to turn it back on. now Im so panic and reformatted my device, my device is back to normal.

Now after a week, how stupid I am .... I am tempted again to install SRS WOW, and is thinking that probably I can just disable it if im not using it so that it wont make my phone like a dead phone after backlight turns off ... oh man .... again same exact thing happened to my phone. I want to save time and energy so I tried to do the instruction of the person who posted the workaround of it for omnia, restored the original registry settings and you know what .... my phone has disabled the touch screen ... Yes completely disabled even if you try to calibrate the touchscreen or do the touchscreen test using omnia codes. I thought I broke my phone .... I did flashed my device again back to the latest ROM and thankfully it is back to normal .... but what a hassel because I need to reload all my programs that I installed for several weeks ... trying to make it work. what a waste of time.

for omnia users I just want to help ... don't install SRS WOW or you'll be messed up!

Can anyone help get my BJ2 back to normal. The usual stuff the sound went out after trying to install and it won't uninstall. I tried doing the registry thing but wasn't sure what I was looking at. Some one help! Send me a message.

Are you running your BJII with WinMo 6.0 or 6.1? If 6.0, SRS should work--it installed and runs well on my BJII with 6.0. Only issues, as others have noted, are noise when TCPMP equalizer is running, and no WMP vizualizer.

If you're running 6.1, it doesn't play nice together with SRS yet. I'm waiting to upgrade from 6.0 to 6.1 specifically because SRS doesn't work on BJIIs with 6.1. The minute SRS puts out a version for the BJII with 6.1, I'm all over upgrading the OS. SRS is must-have for me because it's the only way to bump up the ridiculously low factory-set volume level for music and videos. The problem is, if you're running 6.1, AFAIK, it's difficult or impossible to downgrade to 6.0 (somebody jump in here if I'm wrong).

Anyway, back up your settings/documents and do a hard reset. If you're running 6.1, don't reload SRS. You should have no problem if you're running 6.0.

I tried this on the Omnia (a phone that needs this functionality very badly), and it stops all the sounds. I tried the registry edits, but no good. Are there any other options other than SRS WOW?

It works on my Samsung i600 WM6, i think also work in WM5.
The only think i modify it was the registry key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev
with value:
IClass: R2VS_ARM_WM5_SMP_DRIVER.dll

It is a huge sound difference

If U want change TruBass level go to registy editor and change
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\SRS\WOWHD\WaveDev\TruB assLevel
and make a soft reset

For the first installation, it did not work and i tried fix registry value based on your hints as following:
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\BtA2dpsnd:
dll: SRSDriver.dll (as it was installed)
OldDriver: bta2dp.dll (Not BtA2dp.dll - i do not know what difference)
The key Wavedev as below:
Dll: wavedev.dll (Not BtA2dp.dll)
OldDriver: wavedev.dll (Not Wavedev.dll)
Softreset device and it works on my SS GT-B7320!
But, it's still difficult to switch between headphone and internal stereo in its control panel. I want to adjust its centre value to 50 (not 30 as default) but i couldnot (i tried to fix the value in registry but no difference). I hope you can fix it the next version.

Wavedev is for headphones and speaker
bta2dp is for bluetooth headstet
BTW remember - any change in program - make program default settings :(
