Wizard ROM Upgrade Error

Every time I try to upgrade to WM6 and run the XP_ROMUpdateUtility.exe I keep getting the error:

Erroe [300]Invalid update tool
Please get a newer update utility

Seems you have a G4 version .. look for the corresponding sub-forum for the appropriate tools.

u can grab that from link below.. but before that u confirm that ur device is g4 type, and make sure u r connected via active sync..not bootloader. or it wont work..i had same problem.. i solved with this..currently i am using..TNT's wm6..good Luck..

to confirm, I do have a G4 unit.

no matter what I download and try all the update utilites keep saying I need a newer version !!!

The only one thats worked is the AKU 2.3 Wizard Love WM5 which I'm currently running.

malhaar can you give me the full path as the one above is wrong...

Fixed the problem...

copied the nk.nbf that I wanted on my wizard (am giving the TNT.1933_Professional___HTC_Home_Wizard a go) into the SoftSPL-V0.1, then ran the 2.exe and it all worked OK

Thanks for all your suggestion, will look forward to more WM6 Updates...
