This is my Third ROM after "HTC Atom WM6 Premium", and i gave my third ROM name "Kumara WM6 Premium",.


What makes me built it??
- It have new (OS CE 5.2.2000 Build 20000.1.0.0)


so, this ROM is for XDA ATOM or XDA ATOM PURE ONLY,.


Just like the first and second ROM, this is a clean ROM too (because i dont like touch version), added:

- Adobe Reader LE
- Soft Reset

I have just flashed this new ROM. I found a little problem.. Every time I tap on the touch screen, there's a sound. That sound is not annoying but I don't know how to say. It seems like the bass sound is broken like the sound when U pronounce FFFFF..... . The rest of it is pretty cool.

Yes a very nice ROM, stable and quite responsive. I do find that every sound through the speaker pops, I havent tried the earplugs yet. Also I have found not just with this ROM but it appears to be the 2000 builds, when in MMS and creating a new message, you click on the "insert Video / Picture box" and in the Media selection window, there are 2 camera buttons at the bottom (for photos and videos). When you click on either of them nothing happens, where it should take you straight to the camera in the relevant mode to record a picture or video.

Other than that so far its great...

Its not just the sound theme, any sound at all that it will make, music, watching videos when it starts it makes the pop sound (crackle) as an example, when you are watching a video and you fast forward as soon as you let it go to continue, it will "pop" before the sound begins...

I have also noted the "cracking" sound that starts before any sound/music is made. On top of this minor problem, the main problem i find is the battery drain is very fast, especially when compared to homer285 0.7.1 release. 4 hours with 5+ minutes of call drains around 25% battery.

Response of this release is good and overall look and feel is excellent. Only the battery part was a let down, if not it would be a real gem. :)

i am going to 0.71 rom back that was perfect
in this rom very bad sound quality
lots of applications missing 1 is self test
and very poor gaming performans

if you can play another sound (like alarm 2) smoothly, (no buzzy, annoying, ect) means that the sound scheme is working properly,.

- why? because i have my sound scheme for my artemis too (of course my artemis speaker didnt broken too),.

- if you would like to disable, you could modify it via setting (sound and notification)

or via registry,.

i think it caused by netCF v3.5 and sqlcemobile v3.5 that never been tested to our ATOM, i am the first that port it for atom, (not exec),.

why can i say that batt drain improvements?

because, i am a gps user (using garmin gps receiver) and i usually go out of town from surabaya to malang that spend 3 to 4 hours, lately, because of the disaster that came to indonesia, road to surabaya to malang was jammed, so it spend 4 to 5 hours to make it,.

well, usually with my HTC WM6 premium, it spend 2.5 hours to use with GPS, but with this ROM, it spend 3.5 to 4 hours for using it,.

so, how would i explain your problem mate??

means that the BT_a2dp that i port to this rom, was not compatible with your headshet,.

Yup. The other sound device drivers will look for these. I have tried this before, and I also experience the popping sound they are complaining.

i found some incompatible app in this rom that working in previous rom like rc mod and htc home customiser v.10b5, its say "critical component is either missing or cannot start becouse program memory is unavailable"

because, i am a gps user (using garmin gps receiver) and i usually go out of town from surabaya to malang that spend 3 to 4 hours, lately, because of the disaster that came to indonesia, road to surabaya to malang was jammed, so it spend 4 to 5 hours to make it,.

well, usually with my HTC WM6 premium, it spend 2.5 hours to use with GPS, but with this ROM, it spend 3.5 to 4 hours for using it,.

so, how would i explain your problem mate??

Now thats a good question. For starters, only 3 3rd party apps installed. pBar 1.5. Resco version 6.0 and tcpmp 0.72RC1, rest is stock as it is,all apps is installed to the device and not to the memory card. No external devices in use, except a 2GB Kingston miniSD card.

The same version was also tested on the 0.7.1 rom by homer285 and they were working fine and battery was holding up very well. Overnight standby uses only 2-3% battery, compared to 10-15% on this current build.

Hope this can help you in isolating the possible cause.

Thank you, wm5torage v1.78b is work on my device, but it has generate auto in root ROM, name is wm5drvlog.log, and can not delete. so very dislike.

actually we are now using jeodek (not esmertec java),.

esmertec java build specially for htc devices,.

insya allah i could port it to atom (it must be used with a registry tweaks, in the registry, written that device mode was HTC,.) but, i dont have the newer version as you ask,.

for now, i only have a version of esmertec java, but our jeodek still much better than it,. (ex: support smiley for MIG, etc,.)

Maybe for somebody this ROM is perfect. Maybe for someone is not. Or maybe even a buggy ROM, like you said. But one for sure. This ROM offer a good icon.

I may still be a newbie in this forum but reading from tons of threads and continous research has made me "somewhat" knowledgable with my unit "atom" that is.

I would like to extend my gratitude to all ROM cookers who made it this far in developing our beloved '"atom" either it be pure or exec! saving it from extinction.

It's just simply a matter of thanking them or donating to them for building new roms, fixing bugs and everything. If you don't like what they have build? or cooked? don't even try it! it's just a matter of preference, but don't expect a very clean and stable bug free rom at this time. WM6 for the atom has just been around for what? almost 3 months? It will still need time to "finalize" fix everything and create a final rom for the cookers or developers.

it's just as simple as this, we have different preferences on how our atom may work. or the rom that we may use. If you want to try the new rom that has been posted or created, use it. report some bugs if you find one so that the next release it would/could be fix!! if you don't like it DON'T FLASH IT!!

Let me quote from the master that started the WM6 for ATOM, Jiggs.

It has been brought to our attention that some users flash TEST ROMs and ask support for third party apps. This UNOFFICIAL ROM is still under development and you can't expect support from it. If you can't afford to have a buggy phone, this is not for you. By flashing this TEST ROM, it means you are willing to take the risks, solve any bugs encountered yourself and report problems to this forum.

Boss garmin, bisa tidak mengelompokan app ke dalam folder tertentu. Sepertinya lebih maknyus. PIMBackupnya yang versi terbaru dong. Masukin juga winrar <kan gratiss>. bikin versi yg kayak HTC touch juga WM6nya. Klo applikasi atom yg buat wm6 bsa dibuat kompatibel ga boss??

Default sound dari Atom yang dulu2 jangan di ilangin dong, abis aku klo ngeset alarm kurang maknyus sama soundnya.

Oh ya..ada beberapa aplikasi yg di rom yg dulu2 masih wm6 awal jalan tp d si boss punya gak jalan nih. tolong ya??

Sometimes i 've same problem with old jiggs rom (actually chartreux rom, ported from jiggs rom). When i dial *888# (i'm sure u have telkomsel too:D) it's not give me a result. But him make an other release and this working well

nope buddy, actually i dont have that problem, i dont know either if that was a bug for the NEW release,.

I am using NEWER Release, just about some incompatible apps, because missing component or certificate, and i dont have that problem,.

If I use the option Bluetooth PAN, I get an error message "Could not connect for unknown reason"

Why don't you split the file into a few smaller files, let's say 10mb. so that u can upload faster and don't have to always start from zero in case of disconnection.

But I've got a big problem with it - I can't turn Bluetooth ON ! :(
