i read somewhere that there going to show windows mobile 6.1 so i guess that might be it?

nope thats not 6.1, its just a "workprint" of what they want it to be.

6.1 will not be that revolutionary, event though its supposed to have some nice upgrades :)

i saw a few pics for 6.1, but i only saw pics for the smartphone edition, not pocket pc. hopefully it will come out soon...

Perhaps a 2009 release date would be closer to a release of whatever they replace vista with....if that ever happens...

What I always wanted to know about WM7 is if it'll run on the Herald (it being a touch device and all).. Because I'd hate to have to go out and buy a new phone just to get WM7.

^^^^^^^i know. the document says that it "its possible it will run on older devices". and since the motion gestures are used by camera, i hope they make it avalible for herald. i mean , the wing isnt even a year and a half old yet. and if they dont make it avalivle im sure our great xda-ers here will find a way. the only thing im concerned about is memory

still got another year, ill just hold off on extending my tmo contract until they release a wm7 device at a discount :-D
