Mda compact 3 upgrade question

Hi there, it iks possible to upgrade from a wm5 tmobile in a mda compact compact 3 to the HTC official PTG rom? its cause the mda 3 doesnt have wifi and p3300 does have. So the hardware its a bit different.

My question is: it is possible to flash? Anyone does it sucessfull?

Yes there's no problem there. My MDA Compact III has run a multitude of ROM's including official HTC, and Cooked ROM's from this forum.

You may still sometimes see a button for WiFi in the Comm manager etc, but the button simply dosn't work. Nothing else is adversely affected.

on from this... is there a official WM6 ROM availible for MDACIII? i have not got my MDACIII CID unlocked, so can only flash official ROMs... USB is broke, so cant CID unlock.

no there ist no offical WM6 ROM for the MDACIII availaible, but I have read that the WM6 update works without unlock, some guys have done successful.
But my problem is i have no WM6 ROM, i try to get it from O2 and HTC but both sites want a valid serial number before download ...

Hi guys, I don't know if all T-Mobile's MDA Compact III in all countries are the same, but the european is called HTC Hero and there is missing WIFI chipset, so u can change ROM and activate software (its the same like for original HTC Artemis), but it's "a little bit dangerous playing" for nothing.

T-Mobile MDA Compact III upgrade to WM6.0 or WM6.1 or WM6.5?

Need this as I have MDA compact III UK Version and need the above windows mobile upgrade?

Also does anyone know of the HTC P3300 upgrades, whether they would work on the TMob MDA Compact III Uk version too???

Currently both not available from TMobile website or the HTC website!
