Has anyone had any success with this?
I've managed to get it installed an it loads up fine and I can plan routes etc. The only problem is that I can use the D-pad for 'up' and 'down', although it's fine for left and right, strangely. Instead up and down change the volume...
It means I can't browse the map and choose from items in a list etc.

This is generic TT6 issue on all smartphones.
If you want to move up/down in map, open keyboard/switch to landscape and then set your location for up/down.

Okay..
and then set your location for up/down.
I'm sorry I don't know what you mean by this?

In portrait view, you can browse the map in one direction (left/right). When you change to landscape, you can browse the map in the second direction (up/down).

Nope :(. When you switch to landscape the map changes orientation too, so what's left/right on portrait is still the same left/right on landscape.

I only tried some old version of TT6. I will try remapping some keys to get direction navigating in maps working.

Nice one. Let me know if I can be of any assistance. It really is only up and down which is stopping it from being fully functional!

And the backspace key. Up/Down = vol up/vol down. Backspace just doesn't function. Also, the qwerty keyboard doesn't function, but the smartphone keypad works fine.
Otherwise, it is quite usable.

And the backspace key.
Yes, but of course you can workaround that by just not making any mistakes on input ;)

Yes, strange that you can enter text via the keypad even though it's not a smartphone app.
Otherwise, it is quite usable.
Apart from up/down not working, quite so.
I'm puzzled as to why TomTom don't make a Smartphone version, as the difference in the code between PocketPC and Smartphone is minimal.

Get TomTom 6 (build 7370). That trick works in this version.

I have version 6.010 (build 7720), I have what I have and don't have a way to change it.
