Will I loose SIM unlock if I flash Cingular ROM?

I have SIM unlocked 3125 but it has really old OS, so I would like to upgrade. Will flashing Cingular ROM make my phone SIM-locked again? I have a feeling it would but still hoping to avoid having to pay for unlocking already unlocked phone :)
