View Full Version : LG KS20 ROM on Niki ?!

could there be any way to flash a complete LG KS20 Rom on a Niki ?

or is this impossible due to bootloader or internal hardware differences ?

these two devices have the exact same hardware specification (processor, ram, rom, camera(s), display, buttons....) the only difference is a flash light on the LG and the keyboard on the niki.

the benefit would be opengl es/DirectDraw/Direct3d acceleration for the niki, since HTC wont provide accelerated video drivers. which sucks big time.

:eek: not possible flash LG KS20 Rom for niki device my friend :)
Possible only use some applications from LG Rom for niki device like LG home plugin...
Don't Flash it if don't want brick your device

i thought if i use the HardSPL the bootloader is not overwritten and i can revert back to my original ROM if the LG Rom doesn't work ?

I was thinking, that the LG KS20 got the video drivers, that the Niki and the others are missing.
So is it possible to extract the video drivers, from the LG KS20 ?
It the beast chance we have.

Edit: I can see others have tried it, but as far as i can see, thy dident have any luck... :(

I think its possible to extract the LG KS20 Videodriver. Can one guy provide a Rom dump??? I doesnt found any :->

on the xda ftp is a dumped LG KS20 Rom! I will test some drivers ...

if you get this done i'll love you forever :)

but i read in another thread that the windows kernel of the LG KS20 is totally different to the niki's/kaiser's one and the 3D driver need a lot of special stuff from the LG kernel ...

but maybe you got some special tricks ?
