Change language from English-> German HELP

I have tried to download the WM6.0 german version to my palm treo 750 which is a english device. So the english version of WM5 is on the device. I would like to install the German Version but i always get the error that the update is not for actualizing the language of the device.

thx. i got all necessary information. i am an absolut beginner with WM, so i have a lot of questions (and i had already searched), but if there is a danger if you install the wrong files it is better to ask....... :D
