Indicator Light Question

I used to own a Hermes about a year ago and since have parted ways with it and used a few different phones, but now with the cost so low I'm looking at getting another one to have around and I'm collecting cabs for the occasion. Theres one thing I can not remember though, does the indicator light flash on the phone flash when you have a new notification or is there a 3rd party cab required for that? Thanks in advance.

no need for a cab for that, if u get a missed call, text, or email, the light will flash orange
