View Full Version : 8525 Died overnight

My 8525 died last night while just idling. Won't power on, no LED's, nothing. Originally I figured the battery just died, but it won't take a charge either (tried several chargers).

I've tried taking the battery, sim, and memory card out. Plugging it in without a battery and then putting the battery back in. No luck. I've let it sit, plugged in, no luck.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
-Jim

---Update
Well, I pulled the phone apart today, and found a loose screw from the keyboard slide mechanism floating around in it. My assumption is that what ever problem I am having right now was caused by this.

Still no luck with powering it up, tried another batter and no luck.

Any other suggestions?

perhaps it's the problem of battery !try another one.however,if it doesn't work. i think you'd better had it mended for there may be something bad in hardware.

Not really, but thanks for the input. My phone won't turn on or even attempt to charge the battery. I have also tried a second battery with the same results. My assumption is that the screw damaged a surface mount connection.
