Question about the contact

In the contact, under the viewing mode that shows the phone number it shows the number like this 15555555555. is there a reg edit to make it show 1-555-555-5555 or 1 (555) 555-5555 sometime i bring my phone with me into my work place and it doesn't get reception so i have to use the work phone to call out and it kinda difficult to make out the number when i have the same number close to each other.

just edit the contacts
