I have an annoying scratch on my screen which I'd like to remove. i know abrasive scratch removers won't do much good on a phone with a touchscreen from what I've heard, so I wondered if I could just replace the top layer?

I've seen 'touchscreens' available on ebay for as little as about £10, would changing this remove the scratch? Is the touchscreen part on top of the LCD?!

Here's a link to the kind of part I mean...

you have to be good in brazing when you want to change the touchpanel only. I ordered the complete lcd with touchscreen from China (http://cgi.ebay.de/LCD-FOR-XDA-mini-s-SPV-m3000-Qtek-9100-MDA-Vario-
