Hey guys I currently have a Tilt running alex's stripped rom with radio 1.27.14.09. I love the rom as its been the fastest i have tried however I recently bought a motorola s9 stereo bluetooth headset for music and i'm getting lags in play back. For example if i have it on my belt clip it will cut in and out periodically but if i leave in on the table and walk 25 feet away it will work fine. Just weird stuff like that. Is there a better rom out there for stereo bluetooth playback??

thanx

This is what I put in my Rom for best "quality". (W/ joint stereo and bitpool disable, and 48000 sample bit rate). Works fine w/ my JVC BT-1 and Sony DS220.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2 DP\Settings]
"USEJOINTSTEREO"=dword:0
"SampleRate"=dword:BB80

Correct, these are the same settings that I use as default for my ROM and works well with my S9. Although I still can occasionally have the cut out you describe these settings seem to make it much rarer.

I don't personally have this problem...but it shouldn't be surprising...802.11b is probably what you're using and it traditionally has a lot of interference issues with Bluetooth. You might want to try setting your WLAN to "best battery". You probably won't really be able to change the type of base station you're connecting to if its one at work when you have the issue so that's about the only advice I can give.

But ... according to this article ... "Menneisyys" advised to set the key to "1"

quotes:
""As a rule of thumb, if a given ROM version supports Joint Stereo, then, it’s capable of delivering pretty good A2DP quality. That is, if, in the Registry, the value HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings\Us eJointStereo (note that HKLM, as usual, stands for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE) is 1 , meaning enabled (NOT 0, meaning disabled) and the sound is (still) stereo, then, you have the new, WM6-based, high-quality A2DP implementation."""" ...

~~

""Don’t forget than in pre-WM6 times you HAD to disable the Joint Stereo mode; therefore, if you have ever run automatised sound quality enhancer tweaks (for example, with the excellent HTweakC tool) , they may have already set this to 0 (which isn’t recommended any more)."" ...
