i have a 8125 that i was using with cingular / att

the other day i was doing a HARD RESET .. and thanx to my stupidity i did it as the battery was just about to DIE ..

it did .. right in the middle of the HARD RESET

i plugged the phone back in and then turned on the phone

the " splash screen " comes up ..

the numbers

it says
IPL 2.25
SPL 2.25
GSM 02.25.11
OS 2.25.11.11

appear on the top left of the screen .. and that is where it stops .. it will not BOOT any further .. .. nothing works .. the only way to get the screen to shut off is to take the battery out and start the process again

I feel i have damaged the O.S system or something

can anyone give me a place to start .. or a way to begin to even attempt to fix this problem ..

thank you so much in advance to anyone who can shed some light on this problem ..

start with the Wizard Wiki and get an original ROM (form the provider) to restore phone to good condition

My first advise was to read the Wiki. There you'll find a LOT of information and help on how to get it done.

You must find the same ROM that came originally with your phone. Go read and search...

ok .. will do

but if you do know the answer it would be alot easier just to give me a head up as to atleast

" yes the stuff you need is on our site "

or
" no .. you wont be able to do what your looking to do "

I am not a stranger to forums and i know reading is the first thing that can get you the help . but looking for a little bit of " your in the right place " is also one of the things forums are good for

so i ask again

with the problem i have described .. will i be able to fix this problem with information and files on this site ?

if a ROM from cingular must come from cingular ... then i am most likely out of luck since i have been to that rodeo already and cingular was no help at all

Yes go to cingulars website and download the 2.25 rom release. This will allow you to flash your phone back to oem condition. Try hard resetting it again, I don't remember if you can do it from the boot loader screen but you may be able to.

Best of luck.

What you want is to be spoon fed and that's why is so hard to find anything in this forum: because of the huge amount of repeated posts with same questions.

I made a Google search and in less than 3 minutes and 3 sites i found the original HTC/AT&T ROM link...

geez...

EDIT:
Double posting isn't a good policy either
