RESOLVED

I was pointed in the direction of this (http://www.mrvanx.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=41&Itemid=27) page. The guide is great to downgrade to WM5 from WM6.

If a mod would like to delete this thread, or leave it up for any future people in need....

Cheers

My phone has recently developed the irritating white screen and non-functioning D-Pad buttons. I just put it down to the ROM upgrade I did afew months back, but now I realise it's actually hardware. Well, I mentioned this to Orange when I rang about my account and they want to send me a replacement (even though it's out of warranty, my insurance covers it... lucky me :D)

The problem is, I've upgraded to the WM6 Black Rom, and unlocked the phone.

As they are picking the phone up at 6pm tomorrow, does anyone know if I can just downgrade using the WM5 upgrade Orange released? Or do I need to find the official Orange ROM?.. any url's would be great :)

Also, as I used the HTC Hermes SIM & CID unlock (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293665) (I only unlocked the SIM), is there anyway I can undo this too? I'm pretty sure there is, as it said not to do the CID unlock otherwise it voids warranty.

Thanks for the help :)

I was in the same positon some months back, I just returned the phone to the courier. Nothing was ever mentioned about my mods.

Im sure they dont bother looking, the people in the orange shops might if you return it over the counter.

I have returned two modded phoines via a courier, and all has been sweet.
