tnt's sms question

hi I have tnt rom and mysignal bar keeps saying that image looking for signal but I can make phone calls but when Itry to send a txt msg it says that my phone is not ready and it tells me to wait 15 seconds how can I fix this

:edit: I also have it that my gprs is always connected does that matter

:edit2: is there a way to make the start menu buttons bigger/more finger friendly?

:edit3: sry bout all the edits but also how can I change the degrees on the weather to f instead of c (sry cant spell)

I believe you have 2.19.11 Radio
I had such issues my self.
I moved to Cingulars 2.25.11 Radio and the issues disapeared.
There's a fix which ca fix 2.19.11 too.

2. Don't use QuickMenu ;)
3. I beleive you're talking about HTC Home.
Go to Weather
Click on the city name
On the Select City Scrren, click the bottom "Menu" and select Weather Options.
There you can select between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
