Could you help me in this case. I bought HTC Touch Dual but unfortunately with Russian ROM. I'd like to change ROM on English.

1.If u want do anything for your touch dual device.Please read in forum :cool:

2. Back Up RU ROM :

Download it :

well, welcome on board and good you chose a niki rather than some other device ;-)

.) first make sure your phone is unlocked - if not search for unlock tool.
.) if it is unlocked - proceed with this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355730) to get another bootloader.
.) once finished you can choose a rom from netrunner (http://www.4shared.com/dir/5678614/f5139b2c/HTC_Nike.html) and flash whatever niki rom you want.

this should be enough for the moment for you to start getting familiar with the niki. please do not expect the community to be a place where you get everything without reading through the articles. i am sure everyone is delighted to help when you do have a specific problem which has not occured before - but not if one is too lacy to read ;-)

Thanks. Was of great help.
It is trifle and primitive but important.
USB cable must be connected PC directly.
Do not use hub.
Likely to fail when re-connected.

This site is free, and yes, you have to do all the work. Otherwise, you pay and let someone else do the work for you.

The rainbow colours is the bootloader screen. Flashing will fail is the phone is locked to a provider, ie CID locked. You will need to get the original rom that your phone had and flash that to rescue it. Post a general request for the provider's ROM, or do a search to see if it has been posted.

get your phones original rom put that back on next
make sure you have hardspl 1.22 on

next CID Unlock your device

if you have a old radio flash a new one like 1.71.XX.XX OR 1.65.XX.XX

now try the rom you want on your mobile

I had a similar problem. sometimes it freezes and I need to make a hardreset to solve the problem, but i loose all my data, you know(actually i'm saving everythin on the microSD, so i only lost some configurations). I recommend you to try other roms
