Ok, I know (from what Schap's quoted earlier) that the screenshots were not all from the Hermes.

I think I will stick with 4.30 for the moment then, because I like the Kaiser style dialer.

Also, one other bug report when trying to use 4.31; the "Large Start Menu" option brings up a garbled Start Menu which also freezes the device.

4.30 had some bugs, 4.31 seems better and worth the update. I liked Kaiser style too as I don´t do video calls but nevertheless it´s better to have all working.

I installed Advanced Configuration Tool v1.1, it has more (necessary) options that I don´t find on v2.0.

-ExtROM options doesn´t appear (I didn´t see it)
-Disable Internet Files Cache (for IE as I don´t like IE to "polute" my ROM with cache) doesn´t apear too

I would like to have Quick List and Advanced Configuration Tool v2.0 too as I suspect v1.1 deleted my v2.0 :D

Hi! I also have an 8525 and videocalling works. I can see the caller but caller cannot see me. My provider is Globe (Philippines). Im currently using Shamanix 2.2 but I may flash to Schap's 4.31 later. :)

Already installed 4.31. Initially i was shocked to see my dialer...with no number keys at all, just plain white except the blue video key :confused:

I had it soft restart. :) the number key in dial up already showed up. I just miss the black dial-up pad in 4.30, how can i install it back?

P.S. Can anyone help me or show link on how to sync my WM6 to Windows Mobile Device Center...wireless (wifi)?

One minor cosmetic bug found in the Full WWE ROM. In the button configuration (Start > Settings > Personal tab > Buttons) the label for button 4 is "Button 1". No impact on performance and easily changed by editing the registry.

very good rom as usual,
but i have a problem with the streaming, i can't read the tv from the orange site, it stays on "connecting".
In the previous version, i was able to configure the connection in the streaming program, but in this version it seems the configuration does'nt work i can't modify anything. Anyone have the same problem?

I also have problem with streaming, same error message. Was also problem for me with 4.30. Versions before 4.30 streaming was working....

Any suggestions how to solve this??

When you flash your phone EVERYTHING is wiped, so you have to re-install all your programs and install any new ones afterwards.

I've never been able to sign into Live Messenger on my mobile unless I de-activate the phone in the connection manager part, soft reset the phone, then on restart logging into Live Messenger using my home wifi conection.

I think some networks stop you using it?

Those ROMs are TouchFLO-enabled but there is no Cube application included! I let you the choice to install the one you prefer. For the next ROMs I am working on a new exclusive touch interface, much more interesting than a simple cube...

Because I posted that from my phone and was on a GPRS connection which is slow. Yes maybe I should have waited and then run through every page of the post like I normally do and have done since my first Schaps ROM flash.

Yes I've noticed it too late, this little glitch is present only in WWE ROM, I forgot to remove a provxml I've made for Trinity. I will provide you later the right provxml file that you can import using Advanced Config, or modify the registry entries above.

<New SMS> and other shortcuts have been removed because system actions are no longer implemented in Advanced Config, it will be part of a new application which will support much more actions.

I am going to release Advanced Config 2.0.1, this minor update fixes some glitches like File Associations menu sometimes not working or SIP support.

I ran the recovery process and everything was fine, until my usb disconnected again (something wrong with my usb port, i think and didn't know until now)... and now my phone is stuck on the first load screen that is all black with the htc emblem in the middleand the red ROM information at the bottom. Three things I hope you can answer me:

1) Where to set the HTC Boot Logo instead WM Boot Logo (was possible with 4.3 WWE FULL)

2) The Dial Pad (Phone and LogIn Screen) dont show the "Kaiser Feeling" on my hermes, but was so with 4.3 and provided add-ons (Are thos still valid or planned to be default for the next release?)

3) The "Mail" Button on HTC home screen (left mail envelope icon) routes me to MMS instead of email folder directly (was like that in 4.3 - can this be changed?)

No, you do a 'clear storage' under settings and it returns your device back to default (clean) state. No need to reflash.

1) You should be able to uninstall clean installations through Mobile Device Center / ActiveSync (for XP Users)

Hey guy, it's such a nice job. it looks very nice and seems to be very userfriendly and powerful.
However i was estonished to note that the scroll bar, when the display turn to landscape by oppening the hermes, wasn't present.
The second point i've noticed is that the symbol plugin (accent and symbols like / * $ % and the rest) in the sms/mms application (writer of course) wasn't activated.
You've done a very nice ROM and i congratulate you for that. Still, please, don't take my notes for bad. I just want to help you as i can.

Comm Manager was garbled, so I went into "Advanced configuration", Comm manager settings, and rearranged ON/OFF buttons, Reset device, totally garbled, Tried Large Buttons, reset, would not even come up, transparent and could only see some vague words, set it too default and all is fine.
Like the Large Button theme, anybody try installing another comm manager theme??

I solved it! (at least for my phone :-))
The problem with streaming media are the proxy settings. I deleted them and now I am able to see / hear streaming media. And still able to surf.

Also Windows Live Messenger is now working...

So it has nothing to do with one of the versions of Schaps!

You need to copy Comm Manager button images in \Windows directory and you should assume to have 9-10 large buttons or 6 on/off buttons.

I too am having that problem with the today screen.

I've also noticed that when I open the contacts list from the today screen, about half the time I get the alphabetical listing on the right hand side of the screen, the other half of the time I get a scrollbar on the right and no "easy" way to navigate my contacts list besides scrolling through the whole thing or opening the keyboard and entering the name (ie no alphabetical listing on the top or right side).

I don't think there's an executable file that you can create a shortcut to. If I remember correctly the device lock has something to do with the DLL file shutil.dll. And that may be different if you sync with an Exchange server since that can change your password / lock requirements (presumably the DLL too).

A couple of easy options would be to just install a utility that will screen lock the device and/or put it in standby. If they're installed (or you create a shortcut in your \Windows\Start Menu folder) they will show up in the list for button assignment. Take a look at VJDeviceLock or pLock. The former has some command line switches that you can set. I think there are some others floating around in the forums also if you search Google ("device lock" site:forum.xda-developers.com).

Also, Check in \Windows and see if you have DeviceLock.cps (or something like that). You can create a shortcut to that in the folder mentioned above, and that could work for you also. Might need to open the CPL file first so it behaves as you want it to.

:confused: Anyone had a problem eith the scroll on tofay screen disappearing? I soft booted my phone no the scroll is gon on today screen, the setting show programs checked there but cant scroll through them. When turn to lanscape no scroll seen and when i when i switch back to portrait it show for few seconds then disappears again. also on some programs when try to put in name on registration its gray out and cant input info.. tried uninstalling and reinstalling just dosent want to let me put in input. the programs all worked on 4.30, so dont know if anyone else is having same issues?:confused:

:confused: I forgot also the screen freezies sometimes and have to softrest to get it to work again.. And getting intermittent bluetooth hardware not working error.. Schap's love you work, just never had as many issus's as with this last one... just giving input to try and help solve problems. heep up the good work. I know in time things will be solved.. This ROM is so clean and swift, I love it but when I try to setup a partnership I can't get any connection to my desktop. It just says:
"To synchronize your device with a desktop computer, install the synchronization software from the Getting Started Disc included with your device on you PC."

I did that ages ago and my MS sync 6.1 drivers are upto date. But the computer still doesn't see the Hermes. I'm sure the fact that I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit and using "Windows Mobile Device Center" is a factor. But all other ROMs have worked thus far. Is Schap's just incompatible?

I tried both the 4.31 Lite and Full versions multiple times after rebooting every device I could imagine. Both have the same problem each time (BTW I like the Lite alot more).

Are there any other Vista 64bit users out there that have solved this issue, or any Vista 64bit users with this ROM period? Or do I have to go back to the TNT special edition?

I'm not sure how many more flashings my poor Hermes can take. ;)

Had the same problem with my Vista 32, but it was fixed by unticking "Enable advanced network functionality" in start>settings>connections>Usb to Pc

One more time : MANY MANY THANKS FOR YOUR HARD WORK.
I have flashed my TyTN with the 4.31 FRA but I have a minor bug.
When I turn on my TyTN, the system ask me the code PIN but the screen disappears and I must select the phone to enter this code and close the phone because I don't have to phone.
What can I do to correct this ?

I think that the second camera can only be used for video calling and is not available for normal use like you can with the N95...

The new advanced config no longer has the options for small scroll bars and arrows instead it lets you specify the size you want from a list (very nice feature).
My question is does anyone know what I would have to set those four options to to get it like it was before the new advanced config was introduced?

Ok fixed my sync problems. It appears using Sprite Backup is what caused my headaches.

I used the trial version to backup before installing new rom.
Installed new rom.
Used Sprite Backup to restore all programs etc but it did not restore contacts.
I think restoring things in this way caused a corruption in the registry or something.

So I just did a hard reset and synced my phone before installing anything. I will now install each program manually.

I can now change the configuration and the streamig media player can connect to the server.
But at the beginning of the movie ( 90 - 99% of caching ) it freeze and close.
Any idea to correct this ?

Hi Schaps! Just installed the ROM. Brilliant work! Just a quick bit of feedback.
I have the phone sleep functions disabled in the advanced config tool (brilliant by the way) but the phone still goes into sleep mode when I am in a conversation. It happens within seconds. Any thoughts? H

If all you really want to do is make the X button close, then just unzip the attached file anywhere and execute smclose.exe (click on it again to close it). If you want to set and forget, then create a shortcut to smclose.exe in the Windows\StartUp folder.

At only 8kb, the exe doesn't take up much space or resources and your system doesn't slow down a bit. This puts the HTC app to shame (a 243kb cab that does such a simple thing is a pretty extreme example of bloat if you ask me).

I saw that someone posted a Kaiser style dialler like the one that was in 4.30 but it seemed to mess up the top bar on the home screen like the original release of 4.30 did before the patches.
Do you need to run the patch that was released with 4.30 to fix this?
Also is there another way of getting the new dialler as I really dont want to use up 3mb of storage on the device for a dialler.

the thing is,i have this problem with my notification message,you know the one which pops up when you get a message or notifies you if your battery is low. The thing is,when it does pops up,the thing flickers between my Calendar button and the Notification button as it normally appears on the left softkey. It is so annoying as I could not press on the notification because it keeps appearing and dissapears in a matter of seconds! so everytime I tried to press on it,I accidentally press on the calendar button! does anyone have any solutions to this? this happens when i change the left softkey button from calendar to resco file explorer,well it does the same with other programs that I had assigned.

I started noticing this in the 4.22 Full Rom, but then i changed to the Lite version hoping that the problem would be solved, but still it wont stop bugging me! In the Lite version,the problem appears when i installed the PointUI Home interface because it changes the left softkey to activate the program.

I suspects that it has something to do with the registry keys. Maybe the registries got messed up when i changed the left softkey,im not sure. Please do help me..

For those who needs the new black dialer, here it is.

Schaps: Great Roms, always a great fan.
Issue: Comm Manager; when add more than 6 to the comm. list, it tends to overlaps. And when changed to Large Buttons, after soft reset and clicking on Comm. Manager, looks like it wants to start to show but it wouldn't show the list. Also there's no quick list, quick GPS, Word Card Mobile, GPS tool and keyboard sliding.

I am new to Schap's room, therefore I am not sure whether 4.30 has this problem or not. The battery indicator seems doesn't work correctly, it will drop by 10% interval. Means it remain at 100% for a long time, then suddenly drop to 90% -> 80% -> 70%........ and so on.

Tried install "wm6bat_bars_qvga_touch.cab" but problem doesn't solve. Anybody can enlight me on this problem? thank you.

When I did ... it added it into the startup which is ok, but it also started showing 2 battery indicators at the top. :) One was showing 70% and the other 100%. Anyway I just went back to the startup folder and deleted it back out.

Maybe this will help for those that was looking for the Quick List.

Did anyone had problems with Bluetooth in this rom and in 4.30?
Sometimes the bluetooth is disabled and when i turn it on it stops with a Hardware Error.
All worked fine with the Original WM6 HTC rom

I have the same problem. Bluetooth stops working. Comm manager says its on. When i try to turn it off, comm manager hangs. Tried to turn my phone off. It just wouldn't turn off. I had to SR and turn on bluetooth again.

But otherwise, great rom schap's! Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the help... it actually was because i didnt have the user info in the phone now all the program register properly.. As for the scroll being lost it was World mate causing the problem it wanted to be in front, so i unchecked it and now the scroll came back.. maybe bad install ill try it again, again thanks for your help

For the last 3 months I have tried a number of ROMs and all have failed to communicate with my Ford Advanced Bluetooth car kit. I could make and receive calls, but could not access my Hermes contacts through the car kit.
