Hi all, anyone else get this problem?? Basically, I can leave it on charge all day long and the battery gauge will only go as high as 90%. I have tried discharging the battery until it shuts itself off and recharging... makes no difference. Unit is a SPVM3100 running Schaps 4.30 rom from a couple of days ago (now trying to resist the call of 4.31 :rolleyes:)
Cheers

I had the same problem with Schaps 4.22. Never got to the bottom of it though.

Change this registry to:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\ResOver\Bitmaps]
"BatteryIconIdStart"=dword:3e9
Your current registry must be 3e8 now = 90% max.

Phone is about a year old but I'm not convinced there's a problem with it. It was fine before Schap's 4.30.... perhaps 4.31 resolves the problem.

You're right, it was set to 3E8... I've changed it to 3E9 and put it on charge (currently at 80%) so we'll see what happens.. Thanks

Make sure to do a soft reset after you made the changes.

I made the change to the registry, charged it and results are the same. Doesn't ever reach 100%. Can't say I've noticed any degradation in battery life... it's just one of those wierd problems that bugs you :-)

not sure if this is applicable, but I've heard when this happens you let your phone completly die - the battery fully discharges. Then plug in your phone and let if fully charge.
I think this was an issue with the Wizard and never seen it on the Hermes, but it's something to mention anyway.

That is because the reg editor didn't do its job and the settings didn't stick. Install the cab below and do a soft reset. Also, I'm surprised that nobody noticed this bug in Schap's rom....clicking on the top battery icon does nothing ;)

I installed 4.31 and the problem has gone away so presumably Schaps also noticed and resolved the problem... Related problem is that the orange light when charging doesn't go green ... does this cab file resolve that??
Cheers :)

hermes battery es li-ion this quimical technology is one of the best, but, you never have to discarge completty your battery, charge it every time you can, and maintain always charge, thats will prolong your baterry life, believe me.

False alarm... thanks all. Light went green eventually, obviously low on charge. 4.31 Rom sorted it.... great rom, case closed...:D
