hi, a few months ago i brought a O2 Xda II i think is tri-band. so when i used, from the first time always got very weak signal, and now i can even sync because of a upgrade to wm5.And now i want to buy on ebay a hermes ( Cingular 8525 unlocked) and think this is a quad-band phone, the question is i can use this phone whit suncom puerto rico????? i am afraid that if i buy it an then cant used. and tri-band or quad-band( is about signal Rigth????

Thanks in advance:cool:

The Cingular 8525 is a quad band (plus) phone

It works on the following networks

GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS850, UMTS1900, UMTS2100

Im assuming Suncom uses some type of GSM network in Puerto Rico, just call them to see what network they use where you plan on using it...

I have been able to use my 8525 all over the world. (i.e. US, Korea, Japan, Russia, Europe) with no changes or mods.
