I find playing an instrument requires a lot of patience and passion. I started off with the piano but i gave up because i wasnt determined to play the piano. Only my parents forced me to play piano

you should give it another go on the guitar :)

I love prog metal and prog rock too! especially dream theatre, porcupine tree and Genesis.

Epiphone Les Paul elec (left handed! - LEFTIES RULE!!)
Fender acoustic
VOX AC30
BOSS ME-8 effects
Alesis SR16 drum machine
Fostex DMT-8VL 8 track
....I could go on!!

Was a massive passion of mine...and (like most budding rockers out there) I nearly made it big :) (well, my band did!).

I have a penchant for heavy metal, but tend to struggle on the solos ;)

Also been DJing drum n bass on my 1210's for the past 11 years.

I'm not sure why, but I would imagine you might find quite a few phone/music enthusiasts here...must be some strange link somewhere...probably the classic man/gadget/needtorock urges!!

I love guitar and music, too.

I have a fender sambora sunburst and an ibanez jem 77vbk.

I like dream theater, fates warning, porcupine tree and millions other band. Now I'm mostly involved into american hard rock-journey, survivor, pride of lions (POL have the greatest, technically speaking, singer amongst any other music band....), but I really like every musical style when done with passion - speak classical, fusion, funk...

You can listen to my band here www.myspace.com/netherfall

Let me know what you think about our recordings and about the ending solo of each fallen leaf - we're changing singer and trying to make it big, as soon as we find a talented singer....

I play in my church band regularly, and out in folk clubs here in the UK.
I have 4 acoustic guitars:
Martin HD-28 The best of the bunch of em
http://www.acousticthai.net/acoustic108/standard_series_martin/HD28.jpg

Martin 00-17 now back in the US with my daughter so I can play when I visit, This is a remake of the original 00-17 made in the 30's
http://www.thinmanmusic.com/Moo17.jpg

Babicz Spider Great guitar and is always a talking point when I play it out
http://www.larkstreetmusic.com/list/pict/BABBO.jpg

Guild F65ce I have had this for about 15yrs and it was 2nd hand when I got it, great for vamping and thrashing but a little too narrow in the neck for finger style. Mine is sunburst finished

My cd's were only released in my Country Faroe Islands but I'm shure some songs can be found on the net

by first project was called Internal Healing where I released 2 cd's "Darkside of truth" and "Immaculate Imanent Immutable Impetus" the other project was Human Caos "Selfdestruction"

But what I make now is mainly Trance and Electronica.

No I never played the piano but one of my kayboards is a 88 fully weighted keys so it's almost a piano :D

Firstly Legopulver - whilst jazz is not my thing, I was quite impressed!!

So where does everyone get their guitar tab from? I have tried numerous 'free' tab sites on the net, most of which are plastered in pop-ups with inaccurate tab.

I don't mind paying for quality tab...anyone got any ideas?

I agree it is difficult to find decent (and sometimes just complete!) tablature on the net. Most of the time I refer to my VERY OLD, but excellent collection of Guitar for the Practicing Musician magazines (circa 1980's...), which has some very good note-for-note tablature and standard music notation. For newer songs, I'm working with Guitar World magazine, although, some of the tablatures are not as precise. Anyway for regular sheet music you can try here (http://www.free-scores.com) and for tabs I usually go to here. (http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/tab.html)
