Thanks to mobility site:

looks like there are new pix from the FCC, available Jan. 14, 2008:
https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&RequestTimeout=500&calledFromFrame=N&application_id=326547&fcc_id='NM8CL
They show a picture of "HDD 2" that is the Samsung HS06THB
http://www.samsung.com/global/business/hdd/productmodel.do?group=72&type=60&subtype=68&model_cd=300&tab=fea
so it looks like 60gb, 4,200 rpm PATA is definitely going to be an option in addition to 40 gb from Toshiba:

Not sure if that's groundbreaking news or not, but nice ot see confirmation of 60gb. Now if there was just an easy way to get an SSD in this thing....
I'd be interested if anyone can infer anything from the motherboard chips they used that's different from the early specs, such as their display controller:

Whoa! And why are they showing pictures of "Panel 1" and "Panel 2" ? Are there going to be multiple panel options? 1024 x 600 maybe? please? <grin> Or is it just the display and the touch screen?
Now if they would just start actually SELLING the darn things!!!
