If you search for threads from Shamanix, you'll see what order his releases happen in. Other than that, he puts what base OS and everything he uses at the beginning of the thread, usually, so you know what's going on.
Compare and contrast... :)

I flashed Schaps 4.31
How do I use the Voip feature? Right now I have skype & yahoo messenger w/calling feature.
Are they the same or its a whole new animal?
BTW 4.31 is great. No more "Sleep of death" on my Tytn.

Any chance you could make this SDAutoRun compliant?
That would be totally awesome!!

I made it. I made this beauty UC compliant.!!!!!!
I dumped the windows.nb,edited the config.txt, placed the SDAutorun.exe, added some ringtones(not related to UC) , build the windows.nb again , flashed and had UC auto install cabs from Storage Card perfect all the way!!!!!!!
Thanks for idea MrDSL!!!
It's not my intension to upload this ROM without Shamanix permission.

Good job lagoskon! ;)
My ROMs are free to download, messing with it, take bits and pieces,.. whatever..I don`t mind at all..
So there is no need for my permissions, feel free to upload it.. ;)
I can update the 1st post with it and give you a credit for it..

Attention: Normal duration of SetAcousticParam in first boot is about 1-1,5 minute. If goes to SdAutorun much much sooner you have to perform a "Clear Storage"(=hard reset) from Settings. Normally after the hard reset runs as supposed. The sound of the device is WAYYYYYYYYY better if SetAcousticParam runs as supposed.
Please read Sleuth thread for making correct SDConfig.txt file and Cabs Directory structure on Storage Card. Thanks
The 3 ringtones are: Jig from WM5, Elvira(="you got mail") , sms(="you got message") . They are in Windows folder. If you want Jig for phone ringtone copy it to \Application Data\Sounds
ROM : Shamanix Ultimate v2 Final with UC capabillity
Pagepool is 6,5MB
My only changes are :
1. Pagepool to 6,5MB
2. UC compliant files , dump-mod-build again
3. 3 ringtones

im a bummer on these kind of stuffs....but can anyone summarize here how to do this "step-by-step"?
please correct me if Im wrong...this is how I understand things:
1. Hard-reset my device to return to factory settings...then delete all files of programs installed previously in my SD card (or vice versa).
2. place all my favorite apps' cab files in a directory of my SD card.
3. create the "SDConfig.txt" file in the root directory of my SD card
3. Flash this Shamanix Ultimate UC ROM
4. After flashing....all my favorite apps will be automatically installed
Is that correct?
Question...when those cab files start to install automatically, will it give me an option as what location I want it installed, whether Main or Storage card? Because I thought there are some apps that need to be installed in the Main location, isnt it? Should this be no problem?
thanks...

thanks, MrDSL.
I tried to read and understand on the link you have but it seems I still cannot get it. As I understand, the instruction there is hard to be understood by someone like me :p
As I understand, that link is for Rom chefs or those who want to cook their rom and incorporate UC...please correct me if Im wrong. But as I understand, the rom posted here by lagoskon is Shamanix' rom with UC already...please correct me again if Im wrong.
So how do I use this new rom posted by lagoskon?
thanks for the patience..

Q 2,3,4 : Correct
Q 1 : You don't need to hard reset before flashing this UC Shamanix ROM. Only after...When it comes to Windows Mobile screen and wait your tap to start configuring press together the 2 sofkeys and reset while you still pressing the buttons
Cabs will be installed on Device only and you should have cabs that don't interupt the installation by popping messages like Resco keyboard or Dinarsoft Memaid.
I hope to helped you.Good luck

I had WM6.1 ROMs and are very unstable and my "old" Schaps v4.31 was rather slow and with some annoying things like SMS taking ages to ring.
This ROM is both stable and almost as fast as a WM6.1 ROM! I truly recommend this ROM! I only wich that I could turn SMS to "WM6.1-MSN-Like style)!

First of all great ROM Shamanix, quickest one I have tried to date, Thank you!!!
As for the dialer, run advanced config (added as well if not already on your phone) and uncheck video dialer.
i'm having trouble turning off the Video button in the dialer with Advanced Config 2.0, and "by having trouble ..." I mean I can't find the setting :)

Hi fellas, I would like to thank Shamanix for this gream ROM, fastest I ever had, thank you again :o)
I am experiencing strange problem: somebody send me a message, get a delivery status as "received", but the phone don't receive it :-( The real problem is, that it happens only sometimes and I just don't know why. Is there a fix for this? Or maybe another application that handles text messages?
Thank for any advice, MK :o)

Is you issue with SMS or MMS. OK if its with MMS use this cab and fellow the instructions
By the way for anyone else who is still having issues with MMS all you have to do is install the cab and rerun the Connection setup on your pda that is localed in start/setting/connections and your all set

i have a small issue with SMS, i am wondering if anyone knows how to resolve it or if anyone else has had similar issues, when i receive an sms i hit the 'notification' button on the main screen (left function button), it gives me a preview of the message in a bubble at the bottom of the screen, if there is more to the text than the preview will display it gives me a 'view' option (using the same button) when i hit the button, it takes me to view the whole message, but the text is ALWAYS scrolled off the top of the screen, which then requires me to grab the scroll bar and drag it back onto the screen so i can see it, while this is not a huge issue, it is quite annoying as it happens with every text i receive, i have not installed anything which would be interfering with the messaging... any ideas ???

I believe its a registry fix but I also was told that if that was enable it would always scan for the sound file associated with it which delayed the menu system so that is why it is prob off.

Till an official version of 6.1 does not come out, this is the best option we have. Ample storage and room for customising the rom as per your wish!!
I have already burned my fingers with the 6.1 ROM - loss of data, freezes, soft and hard resetting, softwares not working! Wow! the list is crazy!
Its Shamanix Schaps ROM that is the best around from the 6.0 time.

I have tried several ROM's, sometimes even three or four within the same week. But none have been as stable and as fast as Shamanix's ROM over a long period of time. I usually get bored because Shamanix's ROM is so stable that I go looking for something new. But I would rather deal with the boredom of Shamanix's ROM, than deal with the issues of all of the 6.1 ROMs. This is not an attack on any ROM builder, it is just that 6.1 has way to many issues and I know you guys are losing hair trying to figure them all out. I appreciate all ROM builders work and due diligence, please keep up the excellent work. But for right now, I am just going to chill a while with this excellent ROM.

Shamanix: How is about integrating the new Battery.dll as provided by CRCinAU (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=392051) into your ROM????
This dll module is here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2208972&postcount=2).

Hey Shamanix,
First, just wanted to say that I've been using your Ultimate 2 for quite some time with no problems. I've been flashing WM6.1 ROMS as of late but I always return your ROM :)
Just my 2cents on the new battery.dll, it would seem that the new battery.dll is causing more battery drain than the old battery.dll (after reading multiple posts on the battery drain on the new battery.dll). I would hold out cooking the new battery.dll until the batter drain is resolved. Don't get me wrong, the new battery.dll is cool but I'd rather have a longer battery life :)
Best regards,

Just a quick correction here... the new DLL doesn't cause any more battery drain or shorter battery life. What you are seeing is the battery level reported BY THE HARDWARE. The old DLL just rounded this to the nearest 10%. So yes, you will see that when you charge the phone, it will stay at 100% charge, then after removing the charger, as the battery voltage settles, you'll see it quickly drop to ~96% etc.
Don't confuse this with extra battery drain.
joel32137

Hey CRCinAU,
No offense to you or the DLL, I think it's really cool to be able to see 1% increments. :)
My comments were based on other user's/developer's feedback...
For example:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2218600&postcount=78
I've been following AssassinsLament's Tyro ROMs and even he said that he too noticed a faster battery drain.
However, I am assuming that AssassinsLament is using this new DLL we're talking about.... if he's using another new battery DLL that I'm not aware of, that may be the reason why his ROM's are experiencing higher battery drain...
Again... just my 2cents :)

Hi All
This was my first ROM, upgraded Vario 2 from WM5 to this.
Very impressed, runs far better, great work.
Only problem, is I cannot turn on Activesync, always on off!
Any suggestions?
Keep up the good work

P.S. would this rom work on a standard Vario?

No. It will destroy it. Look in the Wizard forum. You might find what you want for the Vario 1 there.

Thanks, I will try it.
So I tried.
After reflashing the ROM the issue still persists. At setup the screen had to be aligned, after a reset the aligning was completely gone. I align the screen again and after 10 minutes the aligning was gone again.
I tried another ROM (Shamanix Grass v2.2), the same issue. So I was thinking, before I flashed to Shamanix I also flashed my radio ROM to 1.54.00.10, so maybe that was the issue?
To check this I flashed back to the original HTC rom. After setup the aligning is good and stays good!
So I reflashed radio and ROM, and now everything is okay...
So what was the cause? I don't really have a idea but it works now :)

Hi Shamanix,
I'm a long-time fan of your stuff, and with all your previous ROMs I've been very happy about the fact that the device keeps it's ID (I don't know WHICH ID), so that I don't have to get new registration info for purchased software. Some other ROMs don't do this- when you install, you need to contact vendors to get new registration data. As I said I'm not sure which ID it is that stays the same, perhaps it's the IMEI, or whatever... But my question is - is this one the same with respect to this?
Thanks again for all your good work!!
tonidekohlanta
2nd June 2008, 11:52 AM
Hello,
There is three possibilities.
First is IMEI, or a code calculated form IMEI. But whatever rom you use, the IMEI stays the same (related to the hardware of the phone, something like that). So it's ok.
The second possibility is the owner's name (I saw that for Morphgear emulator). But you can change it when you want (parameters\personal\owner's info).
The last one is device ID (the one you see in active sync). And as the owner's name, it's easy to change (parameters\system\about\device ID).
These three possibilities are not so difficult to handle, so I'm not sure it's a problem wether this rom keep this data or not. Just write it down and keep the same names all the time if you flash a new rom.

So it seems I was right about not to be ROM's fault.!!!! he he!!!!!
I probarly find the cause, it's radio ROM 1.54.00.10. I flashed back to 1.47.00.10 and had no problems at all.
I now have another issue, the sound of the speaker during phone calls is very loud (no matter which radio rom). It's at minimum level so loud that there is a little bit distortion.
It looks like its something in the Shamanix rom, I never had this before.
What can it be

I am a fan with Schap's roms and been using it for years!! Now i'm looking for a lite rom and found Sham's coz it has those bits of Schap's features in it.
Just so you know i downloaded both PDA Viet and Sham's Ultimate, but i flashed Sham's first.
Awesome job man!
I hope to keep this rom for a long time but need help with the addons.

I have been an enthusiastic rom sampler for over a year, always looking for that perfect rom. After trying nearly all the 6.0 roms I could find nothing better or more reliable than Shamanix Ultimate (in combination with 1.47.30.10 radio). Apart from the dreaded memory leaks, that seem to happen in all roms I've tried, it was by far the best rom I have tried & it stayed on my JasJam for several months.
Succumbing to the lure of the new & possibly superior 6.1 roms & after experimenting with a number of them I have returned again to Shamanix Ultimate. PDACorner was the pick of the 6.1 roms for me given the free program memory (over 30mb after initial install), but after a few days use it jammed up & would only respond to a hard reset. Shamanix Ultimate has the same program memory available (31mb after initial install) & is absolutely rock solid. As I need my phone for business this reliability is absolutely crucial.
Until the 6.1 roms become more reliable & offer a significant speed & memory advantage over 6.0, I think Shamanix Ultimate will be on my phone for a few months yet.

I myself was a Shamanix fan. It took me a while before plunging in to WM6.1 arena. I suggest you try PV DVH's rom. It is the closest thing to Shamanix's if not better.

Hi, I'm using this ROM and it's really nice and fast, thank you :-)
But I was trying to replace your Comm manager with the "Kaiser Comm Manager(10 buttons)" and it says: Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions.
I totally understand, that you dont want people to change pre-installed stuff in your ROM, but visual style of your Comm manager just don't fit my taste and my modifications of entire environment.
So is there a way to give the installer those needed permisions?
Thanks, MK

Hi folks,
In past 2 days, I was trying some another ROM, then get back to Shamanix Ultimate. Since then, calling sound is like crapp. Before flashing again this ROM, the sound was crystal clear and now, I barely recognise person I am talking to :-( Every other sounds are ok.
Any fix to this? I also tried to re-flash again, but no improvement
Thanks for advise
edit: problem solved by updating Radio to version 1.51. Now it's a bit quiet, but sounds perfect :-)

Well first off, I have to say I love this ROM. I switched to it from the official WM6 put out by AT&T and it's leagues better than it. However, I'm having a slight problem and I haven't been able to find the answer after a few days of searching. Before I went to Shamanix, whenever I pressed the button on my Bluetooth it would open Cyberon Voice Dialer but now it just goes to the phone. I've tried re-syncing the bluetooth, uninstalling and reinstalling the voice dialer and looked through numerous settings throughout the phone; all the basic and straight forward stuff you can say. So my question is if there is any way to remedy this? I haven't had the chance to hard reset yet because I've been needing to keep a constant eye on my emails lately, but I should be able to try it tonight if I get no reply or it's said it's necessary. Hopefully there's an just easy fix for it though and I'm just a noob :D

Use a registry editor to view your registry. Look under HKLM>SOFTWARE>VoiceCommand. What is the value of the "Path" entry?

I don't have any "VoiceCommand" folder there. I'm not using MS Voice Command or Cyberon Voice Commander, I'm using the Cyberon Voice Dialer if that helps.
Is there any way to just remap the bluetooth button through the registry or anything like that, kind of like the soft keys on the OEM ROM, or is that just wishful thinking?

No, that's not wishful thinking. That's what I was trying to accomplish. I think I messed up though. Look under HKLM>SOFTWARE>OEM>VoiceCommand. Sorry, I guess I forgot the OEM before.
Do you have that entry? If you do, the path entry is the path opened when the multi-function button on your headset is pressed.

Well it seems that entry is set for the voice speed dial exe, but now the button on my bluetooth doesn't activate anything when pressed but it can still answer and end calls...

Hmmm... Well, to troubleshoot, you could try to set it to another program. If it works, then something is f-ed up with your voicedial prog. If it doesn't work, then something is f-ed up with your bluetooth connection and/or your headset.

Try the below registry setting with a registry editor.
From
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path = "\Windows\VoiceCmd.exe" (string)
To
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path = "\Windows\SDDialer.exe" (string)
and
From
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\BTA GExtModule = "\Windows\btagext.dll" (string)
To
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\BTA GExtModule = "OEMAGW.dll" (string)

Close the CommManager using a TaskManger, and then install.

Just a quick question... even being a tech learning all this stuff seems daunting, regarding compatibility:
Will this firmware (or other firmware from the "hermes mobile 6" forums and the custom roms link collection thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=403963 work on my HERM100? (cingular 8525?)
Thank you! Will be seen around here a lot I think...

I just checked those now and that's what they're set to. I guess I'm just not meant to have voice dialing activated by my bluetooth... >.<
BTW, I haven't said this yet, but thank you, both of you, for your help and suggestions. Just want to let you guys know I appreciate it. :)
