Okay all I did was uninstall the old Flash Video Bundle and install the new one.
Now I lost my menus. QuickMenu is gone. It reverted back to WM6 Menu.
How do I get it back?
Thanks.

Okay, the problem doesn't happend when I use WMP my mistake, but the issue comes up when I use the audio manager. The white screen of death/low memory issue happens randomly, and it happens the instant I change a track from my library. I restart my phone a few times a day. I will try what u asked me to try, if u need me to still. Thanks.
PS: The good news is that I installed Touch-it to get a feel of the rom, and the same issue came up as well.
Maybe it's a corrupted playlist or something...

I still trying to figure out your problem. I have never had any issues using audiomanager on any of my roms. Is anybody else see this issue?

The best thing to do is wait for me to reup another slimline rom, I fogot and removed the tcmp and flashvideo bundel. I will reup the file tomorrow. This way you dont have to worry about installing it.

The new cab works fine. I just lost my menu, quick menu and all that. Did it change something in the registry? I spent 4 hour tweaking this one and if I reflash I'll have to spend another 4 hours reloading and tweaking again. Just want to get the quick menu back again
Thanks for the great ROM

Ttran... 2.7 is great so now i'm nitpicking... Suggestions and requests.
1.) Having Oxios and Quick Menu is somewhat redundant... plaese remove oxios from quick menu version.
2.)When using Quick menu... You have to select the theme for the transparent menu to work properly, this causes a thin blue line to appear separating htc home from sprint plugin...if you could set set it to be black....
3.) As said before S2U2 is updated frequently.... but you cook and release frequently...with this in mind request that you re-add S2U2 0.99 to the biggy version of the rom. Memory management in 0.99 is MUCH inproved
4.)HTC streaming media is a necessity until some other player comes around fully supporting rtsp... I dont understand why you guys are using flash video bundle, and loading full version flash sites like veoh and google video, when there are sites such as tinytube.net around.
5.) I gotta ask...Please include weatherpanel in the rom for us proxied folks to get our weather...Will try to find and post cab. Thats all for now....

I have no idea, i think the two programs have separate reg keys.
You can always try and download and install quickmenu from the development and hacks section.

The main reason why I cooked newer version so quickly was that I wanted to have a rom that works correctly for users. But as we all know it very time consuming and I dont know if I'm going to have that much free time going forward.
I have to get back to my tech work and start studying for my new certs.
Some of the aps/programs added were special request from other users and I was trying to make sure that everybody's voice was heard. Oxios is a very small program so I though it was a good idea to have it since some people like it over the one included with quickmenu.
As for the quickmenu issue, I will have to look for that reg hack and add it to the next release.
S2US is a great program but too many people did not want it included so I removed it.
As for the weather issue, I will have to do some more research and hope to find a way to add it to the next release as well.
This is how I work and think when cooking my roms..
If a lot of people want some thing then I will add it.
If there are issues then I will try my best to fix them.
As always, my main goal is a good solid rom for users to be happy with using.
Thanks for the feed back,

See the 4th line on the first topic, it says Slimline 2.6
The comm button on the side is the one I was talking about and it does work if you press it, but if you press and hold it seems to give an error, so the mapping of the shortcut or something must be wrong.
I understand that the keyboard will not work and why not, but I only found dead links for the Hearld, so I haven't been able to "fix" this yet.
Just to make sure that I'm not missing anything, your device is a herald p4350correct?
I only have a wing for testing, but have started on building a version for the herald using the herald rom. And I did notice a few other things different besides the keyboard issue. One of them is the hard buttons as you stated.
The original rom for the wing is kind of strange to cook with and they use a lot of different settings than the rom for the herald.
I hope to have this release done soon, but not sure when yet, maybe in a week or so.

Okay I installed quickmenu. Wing gave error .dll messages. So I deleted the .exe from Startup. Soft Reset and all is well again at 9 bells.

Didnt know how big oxios was/is... if its tiny keep it in.
Weatherpanel cab can be found HERE (http://www.hotlinkfiles.com/files/914841_zavan/wpcab196.zip).. .for some reason i cannot attach files here ... maybe its my postcount...OH well... I host myself.
The "Quick Menu" thing may turn out to be a "WM6" thing.. Its just that when you install a rom... the windows default theme shows but none is selected is \settings\today. In this rom.. with nothing selected QM is white and there is no blue line.... When windows default is selected, and you cant de-select after doing this, QM transparancy works but you get blue line. There is some software...uitweaker i think... that allows you to set menu colors and the like. Might be a place to start.
And don't worry... If theres one thing this rom is its SOLID

ProviderSettings I'm still hunting down the T-Mobile settings, so a quick description of where to find those settings would be nice(GPRS, MMS etc.) I don't see them in settings anymore, but they do popup in apps like WMWiFiRouter, so they are hidden (http://episteme.arstechnica.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/579009962631/m/425009839831) somewhere.
I figured out how to remove this thanks to Chainfire.
HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A38...\Connectio ns
Just delete :)
At least *that* worked for me :)
Now if tran would just do that for his next release and force us to do a network wizzard thingy, or a custom creation of settings so it can autodetect *our* settings :)
In case you don't want to delete these but just want to use WMWifirouter, just use ICS once with the USB cable/bluetooth and it will memorize the connection you used.

Was wondering - for those of you who have a T-mobile wing. Is opera mini working for you guys when you are using the 5.99 proxy? If not then is the only way to get mini to work is to use the blackberry plan or something? What are your settings if you did get this to work. Thanks

Opera is working for my 5.99 plan and I'm using the Biggy version. When I had 2.5, it didn't work though. With the 2.7, I didn't even have to do anything. Try initiating the GPRS first by using IE then go to Opera.

just upgraded to 2.7 I LOVE IT.
The only thing I would like to know is about the slide2unlock. I liked that feature from version 2.4 but I dont seem to see it in 2.7. I installed the cab file I found on the forum but IMO it doesn't work as well as the one included in 2.4 worked. Can you please post the settings you used in version 2.4?
With the slide2unlock cab I installed to version 2.7, when the phone slides open, it also unlocks. This is a problem for me as I am always moving around so my phone tends to slide up and down. I would like the phone to remain locked until I slide the button on screen to unlock it.
EDIT: ok, maybe one more thing! lol. Is it possible to get glossy black in version 2.7?

It'd be great if whenever a user posts a program that they want, that there would be a description of what it does too!
Is it possible to change the look of the home clock? I liked the one that was on v2.5 (HTC Touch-looking one I guess).

ttran great rom, first time flasher and i "read read read" like everyone kept insisting, yours by far had all the applications/programs/cab etc.. i was looking for...i love my device now...just a couple ques..what or how is the wifi router used and what is its purpose (newbie ques) and ive been tryin out the "videosites" and they seem to work and connect fine but they are ridiculously slow when loading, even with wifi on takes 1min to play 3seconds of vid, are my tcpmp setting wrong i have not changed them from default (except for the file association settings)...do i need to change buffer speed or ???? other then that everything is working awesome and alot faster...
...oh one more ques why does the program memory always seem to go down even when no programs are running??? i have to soft reset to get it back to normal...

Hmmm for some reason - My opera Mini is not working. Are your settings the same as below?
tart menu - settings - connections - connections
under the heading "T-Mobile Data" select edit my proxy server
check the box marked "This network connects to the Internet"
and the box marked "This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet"
in the box beneath "Proxy server:" enter 216.155.165.50
click advanced
The only thing you have to change here is make sure the proxy for http is set to 216.155.165.50:8080 (you'll just have to change the last part to 8080 from 1080 if I remember right)
click ok
click ok again
click ok a third time
click on the x
now you should be back on the today screen with a working proxy
There are limitations, IM programs don't work (some people have gotten AIM to work in some of them by changing the port as someone else on this thread said). AvantGo can sync, as long as you first connect with a different program (even when set to use the proxy I've never been able to get it to actually make the connection, but it will use an already open connection). There are other programs that don't work, but I'm too tired to think of any more. There are limits to how big a file you can download as well (I've heard 1 meg).

Actually HTTP is port 80 not 1080 you were thinking of socks. But your right it should be 8080 for HTTP with Tzones.
Also for IM clients check out ebuddy http://www.ebuddy.com/mobilebeta/ the tmobile mda pro works great on the wing with t-zones.
I hate to keep asking the same thing too but has anyone gotten Acrobat working with 2.7 biggy?

Make sure OperaMini is set to use HTTP and not socks.
Just to let you know, I'm not ignoring the Acrobat issue, I just don't use this ROM so I don't know if it's something isolated to you or to the ROM itself or how to fix it. :D

Thanks for the tips guys - My settings was set to SOCKS and not HTTP which was the reason for the problem.
Another question if you guys don't mind - How do you get opera mini to download files without having the program automatically trying to open up PIE to download files?
Here's my problem -
I would log into a website -
Attempt to download a PDF file
A ballon will pop up saying - Do you want to go to such and such URL to download file
I click YES
PIE opens up and I am prompted to re enter log in info
It's annoying - Any fix for this?

Ya - I thought that. I have foxit reader to read PDF files though. I would like to however be able to download any file with Opera Mini without it having to open up PIE to download files.
As long as I can get the files I am downloading to the storage card memory then I'm good with that. Fix for this prob SIR?

Sorry if its not clear but what I meant to say [referring to my previous post on the other page] was that internet was working last night although I dont have an internet plan. I just have the unlimited texting plan.
For one reason or another, internet was working thru Opera last night but IIRC the Wing was connect to my PC so I dunno if that played a part in it.
Btw-I do have one problem, I can not get AIM to connect. I keep getting a communication error and to check my settings. I've tried tons of times resetting the phone and nothing helps.

I've tried tons of times resetting the phone and nothing helps.
if your wing was connected to your computer and you have activesync installed, then your wing would have been using a passthrough internet connection through your computer...if it's not tethered and you don't have an internet plan, you won't be able to access anything...

Hi, I have been using open touch 2.7 and love it, but I used the wm6 voice command a bit and am wondering where I might be able to get a file to add it to the phone. I have been searching the threads and cannot find it. I don't know how much it would slow down the phone but I would like to try it out. Thanks for any help anyone can give me. Also, ttran, thanks for the great ROM!

Okay I liked the memory from 2.5, but I also wanted the new radio in 2.7. However I don't want the cube or the animated splash screen from 2.7.
So here is what I did. I used duty's nbh tool and decompiled both roms. Then I took the htc rom tool to build a new rom. I used the windows.nb from 2.5 and the radio from 2.7 and a custom Primarysplash.nb. Put em all together and basically got what I need.
I've tried other roms but can never get the internest sharing to work on any of them. ttran's roms seem to work best for me.
I'm still new to all this flashing. Fast Becoming a Flash-aholic, but what is SPL?? It tells me its dangerous to use.

You didnt have to do all that :p You could have just flashed 2.7 with the radio and then flashed 2.5 because your radio wouldn't downgrade. Unless the rom is made to overwrite your radio, it will stay the same. As far as the SPL question, just read the thread HardSPL. Basically, HardSPL is a way to unlock your phone so that you may use it on any GSM carrier. Once you HardSPL though, you may not be able to go back. That means getting warranty support may be difficult to obtain.

Okay when I had my Stock Rom, I called T-Mobile for the sim unlock code. I unlocked it long time ago. Did I lose this with all this flashing? Is it the same thing as what you mentioned?
Please Advise.

No, it should still be unlocked then. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, it does allow you to flash using a different method, but there is no need for that.

I like simple, uncluttered programs. pbar's icons are too small and there is just too much stuff on it. It never worked perfectly for me either. I would have to touch certain things a few times before it worked.

You can wait video in wmv format via IE and Windows Media.
Also,
If your at home you can also connect back to your shares from your computer and stream video with the network plugin and windows media.

If your on wirless and at home.
Share out some folders with movies, music, or even documents.
Then go to \Start\HTC Network Plugin
Click on New and either type in the share or click on Browse button to locate them.
Once the shares show up, just simply click on hold and then select map.
Once this has been completed, you can go into any of the following to view your content.
Filemanager

Just checking here,
Did you download the latest v2.7 for the slimline?
It does not include the cube, only touchflo which should work out of the box.

2.7 Slim Line, after I installed all my apps to Storage Card, I have 37 mb Free Storage Memory and 27 Free Program Memory. Nice !!!!! Can't ask for much more than that.
I deactivated TouchFlo,Keyboard sliding sounds and HTC Home in the registry. Someday I'll learn how to cook and keep them out.
Anyone know how to deactive the HTC X Button? What registry values? I like Pbar sooo much better.
Best ROM I've found yet. I've tried almost everyone on here. Most are of no use to me as you can't use Internet Sharing like you can with this one.
Thank You ttran!

T-Mobile Tethered to my Laptop is my only ISP. I use it through Internet Sharing. My phone is hooked up to a 3 watt Wilson Amp out through a Yagi Antenna on the roof pointed at the Tower. I get the best possible signal and speed obtainable. The new Radio seems so much faster. Not DSL speeds but much faster that dial up. Best you can do with T-Mobile.

Yup. Everthing else seems to be great so far. Checked the new features.,
Adobe Reader works great, As I said I really am loving the new Dual Dialer!!, Especially the Hide Keyboard feature which lists all calls n contacts.,
Tested these basic features:
Make n recieve calls., Send SMS., Wifi, Opera Mini, GMaps, All the games :p, S2U2 (I installed this), and a whole lot of other features n applications. (Too long to list.. heheh :D). Will ring a bell if I find something..
One thing., I see that in this rom The HTC Home Icons are back to the previous version and the clock is also the previous version, How can I change it to the Embossed effect icons? (The one posted in your first post of the thread)

On Open Touch 2.7 (SlimLine), I somehow remapped my Contacts soft key to PocketCM.exe. And, this is causing an error any time I try to open Contacts from the Today page:
The file 'PocketCM' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of the components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.
When I look in the registry I can confirm that HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\113\Open is mapped to \Windows\Program Files\Contacts.lnk, and I think this is correct. And then, in the Contacts.lnk file it says "21#:MSCONTACTS?outres.dll,-10000", which I also think is correct. So how to fix this problem? Is the ":MSCONTACTS" alias somehow messed up?
As to what caused this problem, I can only trace it to running the Soft Key app on Open Touch 2.7 SlimLine....

If you do this Registry hack, everytime you soft reset your phone will go online and stay online. You won't have to wait for it to connect and it won't disconnect while using Opera Mini.

There are a few reg hacks that makes it work, I would rather not list them and have some one mess up their reg keys and possibly have to hard reset their device.
I added this feature since a lot of folks pm me asking for a way to remove all messages at once. Since it takes forever to remove one at a time.

You also have the romsettings which you can change some of your settings like which contact manager is the default.
Why are you having to reinstall apps again, all of the apps included should be working fine.
It's not always a good idea to over write preinstalled apps, sometimes it might cause issues with other apps or rom settings.

I'm not sure how you configured your settings for the wirless.
Let review and make sure that we are all on the same page here.
This is the way I setup mine and have softreset my device lots of times without loosing my settings.
Turn on Wireless via commanager
When it prompts me for a key, I do not add the key there.
Instead I add it to the Configure Wireless Network section.
I choose a connection point.
Add my keys and setting there.
===================================
On the Network Adaptors Tab
Choose the SDIO WLAN Wireless Adaptor
Add all my settings then click on the ok button to save and exit.
Softrest and see if your setting are still there.

Just to make sure, please verify if you have selected a ringtone.
I removed a lot of the ringtones so sometimes it will default to vibrate.
Double check if you have selected a ring tone and see if the problem goes away.

How come even when I check the 'Repeat Sound' box in the alarms, it doesn't repeat the noise? It plays once and that's not enough to wake me up! :) How do I set my MP3s on my storage card to be ringtones? Or does it have to be on the device storage itself?

just create a folder named my ringtones on the storage card and you should be able to use ringtones from there. actually you should be able to set your ringtone and trim them using htc audio manager so technically you could have them anywhere check that out.

Meanwhile, do we just live with it for now? I didn't catch it this morning, but one day when I go to sleep too late, I won't hear the alarm, and therefore we will be late to work, which can result in loosing a job (if done one too many times). As you can see, this can be a major "flaw". Is there a work around (except for scheduling multiple alarm times?

I also noticed faster power drain, but I tend to think this is due to the new radio that was installed with 2.7 (stronger sinal, thefore reduction in battery life). I think it is a known issue with new radio. I might be wrong though. I don't mind recharging every night, as long as I get a better signal!

Meanwhile, do we just live with it for now? I didn't catch it this morning, but one day when I go to sleep too late, I won't hear the alarm, and therefore we will be late to work, which can result in loosing a job (if done one too many times). As you can see, this can be a major "flaw". Is there a work around (except for scheduling multiple alarm times?
ttran offers this rom for free. He can't be held responsible for someone losing their job. Ease up. He may just give up, then what would we do?

There are a few reg hacks that makes it work, I would rather not list them and have some one mess up their reg keys and possibly have to hard reset their device.
I added this feature since a lot of folks pm me asking for a way to remove all messages at once. Since it takes forever to remove one at a time.
Your the first person that does not want this feature so far.
As for disabling it, I will have to create a cab for you or figure out another way.
Hang tight,
It's a dangerous feature (for me) because it makes it too easy to delete all your mail. It would be palatable if there was a confirmation ("Are you sure?"), but there isn't. I've already deleted all my mail once by accident...
thanks

You also have the romsettings which you can change some of your settings like which contact manager is the default.
Why are you having to reinstall apps again, all of the apps included should be working fine.
It's not always a good idea to over write preinstalled apps, sometimes it might cause issues with other apps or rom settings.
I honestly don't know how, but the Contact soft key mapping got corrupted. I believe it happened with I ran the Soft Keys app and my phone hung in the middle of it. Had to remove the battery to reboot it. I wasn't able to fix this by running Soft Keys again, nor by hacking the registry directly. (I posted the error messages in the original message -- see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1866739&postcount=640 )
Either way, the only solution I came up with was to download and reinstall the Random_Access app.
Should I unstall Random_Access and see if that helps?

I'm not sure how you configured your settings for the wirless.
Let review and make sure that we are all on the same page here.
This is the way I setup mine and have softreset my device lots of times without loosing my settings.
Turn on Wireless via commanager
When it prompts me for a key, I do not add the key there.
Instead I add it to the Configure Wireless Network section.
I choose a connection point.
Add my keys and setting there.
===================================
On the Network Adaptors Tab
Choose the SDIO WLAN Wireless Adaptor
Add all my settings then click on the ok button to save and exit.
Softrest and see if your setting are still there.
Ok, I added my keys at the prompt. I'll give this a try.
Other than this and the CommManager popping up all the time, this is an excellent rom.
Thanx for your work!

I did observe that the Open Touch roms [both 2.4 and 2.7] do pick up signal a lot faster after having lost it. For example, on the OEM rom when I get on the elevator at work, I would lose signal right away and it would take atleast 3-5 minutes to regain a signal. With the Open touch roms, I get signal within a few seconds after walking out of the elevator.
The reduction in battery life isn't ThAT BIG of a bother since I usually have the car charger plugged in and the USB charger to the PC at work anyway.

i would say to take a look at your touch flo settings, this happens to me when i try to select a file in my program menu and if i don't hit it just right it acts as if was trying to scroll up or down but i was really trying to click on the icon, it happened to me when i was using open touch 2.7 as well was 3 different version of touch-it... so i think touchflo is to blame for this one, when i disable it, no more random scrolling, its something to look into :)

what all reg tweaks have been done? i'm sure speed tweaks have been put in place, but what about disabling the sms sent notification... and the tray apps?
my touch screen stopped working after messing with toolman or something like that, so i did a hard reset, and maybe it's time to try a different rom for a while. i like the looks of the lite version.
I don't remember all of the reg hacks I did since there were so many.
Folks,
I can only support or try to support apps already included in the rom. There are so many third party apps out there and I can not help you with all of them.
It would take me for ever to try and trouble shoot issues your having due to third party apps.
It's hard enough trying to make the rom close to being perfect for users let alone try and fix add ons.

Anyone experiencing issues with battery life? it seems like 2.7 is power hog on my phone. I had 100% charge at 4am and then by the time I woke up at 12pm, it was down to about 80 and now it's down to 67. I have no programs running but I have made two 20-30 minute calls on speakerphone.
Is that normal?
Battery life has always been an issues with the tmobile rom which this rom is base off of. I will continue to try and find ways to improve it but not sure if I will be successful.

I think that this is a feature with touchflo, as for random scrolling, if you disable it then there will be no more random scrolling.
I'm not sure how long you have been using touchflo roms, as for me it does not happy much since I'm use to using it.
For example:
If you set the cube to active from top to bottom.
If you do not slide your finger down the screen correctly it will bring up a commmanager notice or the clock.
It takes time to get use to and some practice.

I totally agree with ttran001's statement. Personally I have been using his ROM's since he first released them, and yes there were some problems in the beginning but he quickly fixed them. The newer ROM's are by far the best ROM I have tested and used in the last 4 years. I have not found one better; ttran001 is an excellent cook no offence to other cookers. I don’t seem to have the problems that are listed and I use my phone 6 or more hours daily. I have a third party mobile app that transfers my service tickets to my SQL server without fail, I even have a sign off sheet for customers, they just simply sign my phone for service requests that have been completed. Sorry if this sounds like I’m venting, ttran001 has worked many hours of his own time to produce an excellent ROM. Ttran001 my hat is off to you, keep up the good work.

Obviously you didn't read the whole thread or even a last page. If you would, you would have known that couple of people already reported that issue. I truely beleive that all newbies should be required to read all posts and search within a thread, prior to posting anything! Too many redundant/repetitive questions/issues!

ditto that, on what seems to be a battery status lag. as far as reports of significant battery problems is it possible that the new radio could be draining more than the old one? just a thought

It probably does. I think that the improvement in signal far outweighs the reduction in battery life though. I charge my phone nightly anyways.

Just to make sure, please verify if you have selected a ringtone.
I removed a lot of the ringtones so sometimes it will default to vibrate.
Double check if you have selected a ring tone and see if the problem goes away.
Where can I double check this for messages? I have already triple checked that my phone ringer is set to a ringtone I have and set for ring only. I am still getting a vibrate along with a chime on new emails/messages

You are correct this is a Herald p4350.

i've also noticed that alot of posts in this thread say the rom is buggy. I used to use Touch-IT v2.3 beta for the wing; that rom wasn't buggy. i noticed that there is a v2.5. Is that version as stable as 2.3beta? Also, do you need to install hard-spl before installing any of these touch-it roms?

I'm confused. I run v2.7 biggy. All I changed out was my custom wallpaper, and then changed the HTC Home background and icons via the Home Customizer...

I think it looks great, can you post the lanscape and portrait version later on?
Folks,
I will include other themes for you to choose from if you do not like this one.
Simplicity is part of the Open Touch team and has done a great job with wallpaper and beta testing. I will go with this wallpaper as the default.
Also,
I will upload the wallpaper and clock from v2.7 for folks to choose if they like.

Hi,
At the moment it is only for the wing and herald (with some issues like the keyboard and hard buttons). I don't have a touch vouge device so if I were to port on a rom over I would not be able to test it.

You'll have to visit the Vogue forum. It's like trying to put gasoline on a diesel truck.

Oh, by the way. Went into a TMO store with the girlfriend a few days ago to pay the bill and take my data connection off (don't really use it anymore). It was just before close, so I ended up BS'ing with the sales guys there.
They asked how I liked the wing, so I whipped it out and showed off some of the open touch work (had v2.5 slim flashed). Their jaws hit the floor. They couldn't believe how much faster mine ran than theirs did. They were calling others over "dude, check it out!" One guy was like, "You've taught me more about the wing in 20 minutes than I've learned in 4 months" and another "You should be an HTC rep" HAHA! XDA for the win!
