Hi all,

I'm having some issues. I recently upgraded my ROM using DCD's 1.69 kitchen. Prior to doing so, I was able to use WMWifiRouter to create an ad-hoc network with my laptop (apple iBook) & browse the web. However, Since the upgrade I am no longer able to do so. I can create a network, and I can connect to it with my laptop. However, when I attempt to access the internet, it fails and my phone warns me with something to the effect of 'The remote party has ended the connection.' I'm not really sure what is the matter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Phone:
Sprint HTC Mogul
ROM version 2.17 from DCD's 1.69 kitchen, Radio 1.40
Unlimited Data via SERO plan

Laptop:
Apple 12in. iBook
OSX 10.5.1 (Leopard)

i was having this same issues on my DELLMAC "dell with os x 10.4.8" and the way i resolved the problem was setting up a static ip on both the mogul and my computer. on the network

Mogul
IP: 192.168.0.1
SUB: 255.255.255.0

OS X
IP: 192.168.0.2
SUB: 255.255.255.0
GATE: 192.168.1.1

then the "The remote party has ended the connection." stoped and i was able to surf the web again. then when i was not using the mogul as my isp i just changed the settings back. hope that helps you out...

Still a no-go :( It no longer gives me the error, but I am simply not able to access the internet on my laptop.

I should mention that I have had wmwifirouter working in the past. When I still had the stock rom (2.14 I believe) I was able to use it without issue. Since then, I've made two major changes - I've upgraded the rom on the phone, and I've upgraded the OS on the laptop (10.4 -> 10.5). Unfortunately, its not very practical for me to change either back at this point.

I guess its not all that huge of a deal - I never used it when I could. But it would be nice for the 'just in case' type situation.

oops probly wrong gateway... 192.168.0.1

so in the network screen on your mac:

IP: 192.168.0.2
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Router: 192.168.0.1
DNS: 192.168.0.1

i also enable internet roubustness, but probly dont need to do that... just set the DNS & Router.... then it should work... hope that gets it going... I LOVE WMWifiRouter!!!
