strange problem ... any experts fancy a challenge?

Hi Everyone,

Please help ... appologies if posted in the wrong place but I thought this would be the best for this problem.

My phone (imate pda2) started acting strangely: no matter what sim card I put in it, it will not complete outgoing calls (they go immediately to call ended) nor accept incoming calls. Calls to emergency numbers work though.

I have reloaded/upgraded the firmware ROM directly from i-mate's website but it didnt help.

I was woundering if maybe a virus could have caused this or more probably a cid lock or blacklist of my imei for some unexplainable reason ...

Any ideas? Im at a dead end ...

I have looked on this forum for similar posts but found nothing so any help is greatly appreciated!

Are you using Windows Mobile 6? If so, have you enable internet calling? I had exactly the same problem when I was messing about with Internet Calling, I ended up having to turn it off completely in the Phone settings.

very strange problem indeed i was thinking of problems with you antenna but you said emergency calls are fine!

viruses wont cause this especially you reflashed i.e. clean system
u r not blocked other wise u wont be able to system update

Does the SIM card work in a different phone? If your IMEI is blocked you could try a SIM card from a different provider, I think usually only the provider you have been listed at blocks you.
