View Full Version : Windows Mobile Standard vs. Professional Font

I've tried searching Google and such about this, but I couldn't find anything.

What font is used as the system font in Windows Mobile Standard (like on Smartphones)? I know the system font on Professional is Tahoma, but the Standard font looks taller and thinner.

Also, does anybody know what font is used for the Windows Mobile 7 interface? It looks very slick and streamlined.

One more thing, is there some sort of way to make the ClearType look more like this:

It's a little more blurry in a way, but I like how smooth it looks. Or is that how the screen capture program captured it, but on screen it looks like any other?

Schaps advanced config can change cealrtype settings.

The standard font looks like thin Arial Thin to me!


WM7 looks like Comic Sans MS?

or close to these two

btw you can change the fonts on ur phone by replacing any fonts file u like just make sure u get the three combination standard, bold and underlined

i have comic sans in mine

That looks very similar to Calibri..follow the link in my post for a CAB </shamelessadvertising>

in Windows Mobile 7 looks like Segoe UI Bold (its the system font for windows vista)
in the Windows Mobile with Cleartype like Calibri Bold

Wm6/wm5 standard - segoe condensed)) btw, tahoma seems to be the only font to work good without cleartype

As said above, smartphones use segoe font, which is also used in vista.

One can also use the same font on WM professional device :)
