VOIP-SIP with ROM v3.7 (FINAL!)

Phone : Qtek 8310 (Tornado of course)
ROM : WM6 English 5.2.1616.18120 Standard v3.7 (FINAL!)
SIP provider : Free (france)

Everything is set up using Eluth way. (setup.xml, cab...) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950

SIP is working for incoming calls but not outgoing I have several questions that I need answers for :). The VOIP setting is set up as "whenever available"

1) What is the the exact use of the "IP Phone" option in the comm manager ?

2) When I turn on the wifi the sip account connect but it say: "Freephonie.net : Searching"

But as you can see in the top the IP Phone symbol is active and I can actually receive call.

3) When I try to make a phone call it says "cannot complete the call phone number may not be valid" I'm guessing that I'm not dialing it right.

Here is an example of a number I dial to call in France: 0123546543 (Fake it's for the example)
It should be dialed as 01133123546543

I tried several combinations like 33123546543 but I can't call.
I changed the "ipdialplan.xml" with a French file I found on some site, but it still doesn't work. I don't understand how this file works exactly.

4) When I turn off wifi and unplug the phone the "searching" changes to "available" but the phone icon doesn’t appear like on this picture : http://www.freephonie.org/doku/_media/tutoriel:freephonie_ecran_accueil.jpg
But it doesn't make any sense, since wifi is off and that I do not have internet access through GPRS or WAP. And when this happen I can't receive phone call on the SIP phone number when it's like that, I have to set the IP phone to "never" in order to use the GPRS normally.

Hi, just a stupid question, did you validate the mobile with the "Free" certificate, valid for two months.:confused:

I was able to do calls like that, but with "UPDATED!!! [[V6]] Windows Mobile 6 for Tornado Perfect English Edition Released!" rom, but since "andot" stop the support to this project i shift to "WM6 English 5.2.1616.18120 Standard v3.5" rom by "vjgrace", and Free don't allow international calls from the sip on remote machines other than the telephone link it to the router.
I lost my interest, because for use voip with the phone you need a "freephonie" network, and since you are connected to this you can't brows internet or use skype, messenger, internet-radio, etc..

Exist a little sparkling light of hope for back on good conditions, Free said that they didn't stop this service, is just an issue.

By me (in one of biggest cities in France...), I'm never getting EDGE...

Well I’m in Paris myself. As for the Edge I have no idea. I never paid attention to it. I wonder if it's a bug. Because the logo changes regularly one day it's G some time a triangle alone, sometime Edge. Actually I took the picture I was at the countryside! Where I get terrible reception, you can see that there is only one bar. There is no way the countryside where I was had Edge I barely have SFR signal in that area. So it's probably a bug

Well I hope someone can help me out with the SIP VOIP stuff :(

Ok, I think I wasn't clear enough, you will not be able to connect correctly to non of the freephonie net works until you install the free certificate.
For lear how yo create it and updated every two months go to the forums on this site:
http://www.freephonie.org/portal.php

a little search on "SIP" will help you.

It worked for me. I have account on Voip Discount (www.voipdiscount.com) and with library included in vjgrace ROM can't call via sip. I dont know what's wrong in original library, but when replaced then I can call via voipdiscount sip. I browse numbers in standart international format i.e for UK 0044 or +44xxxxxxxxxx

The two files are identical, not just the same size. I've check them as soon as testuser uploaded his rtc.dll. So, the problem should be somewhere else.

No frem, I never seen this screen on my phone before and after upgrade rtcdll library, but can't call before upgrade; when type number, just hear short 3 signal and phone drop voip connection. After change library I can call and everything looks OK (except voip indicator).

well, i just tried voipdiscount without changing any files and it works just fine. i am on vjgrace 3.7.

This is driving me crazy :(.

Can somone explain me in order what to do exactly after installing 3.7 ROM, in order to reactivate successfully the VOIP option? What am i supose to do with those files :

"EXCEPT FOR VOIPISER WHICH IS IN CAB FORMAT" and "VOIPfix.cab"

FYI.

I gave up the intergrated wm6 voip software.

I installed GOSIP http://go-sip.com/ and it works perfectly.

I'm now working on getting the certificate freephonie working on my smartphone. I've successfully added them, they show up the the security>certificate menu.
But when i connect to a freeephonie wi-fi network and i select the option to choose the certificate it doesn't give me the option to select it. S

o for the moment i'm stuck there.

I successfully installed WM6 English 5.2.1616.18120 Standard v3.7 from vjgrace on my sp5.
I'm admiring and thankful for the work that has been done by you guys.

Only 1 thing is not working: VOIP.
Can anyone confirm that it works on tornado with the front speaker (=hear speaker)? Or will it be the same as with Skype (load speaker)?

On my home screen I have: Internet Calling: Service blocked.
In Comm manager I cannot access the IP phone settings.
I normally use VoipBuster.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Read all the post in this thread you'll see i had the same problems. The integrated VOIP WM6 is busted even after reisntalling it. That's why i advice you to use a alternate VOIP program like go-sip http://go-sip.com/ and it works perfectly.

I tried gosip last year and it made my tornado very so slow that I removed it and decided to use skype.

I posted my question because I could read that some people actually did have the native VOIP running on their Tornado.

When you use gosip, is the sound coming form the front hear speaker or from the handsfree speaker?

Go-Sip is indeed working very well. Thanks. Also on my HTC touch.
Now I will try BEWIP.
Neuf telecom has HTC Touch VOIP with BEWIP inside. So it must be working well.
